Resurrected (Book #9 in the Vampire Journals)

Resurrected (Book #9 in the Vampire Journals)

Caitlin dove into the book, scanning through, turning the pages as fast as she could, looking for any mention of vampires, of how to heal or cure one, how to bring one back to normal life. As she began to read, she suddenly slowed down. She went back and read it again. Then again. Her heart started beating with hope. She could tell right away that this book was very different than the others. This, of all the books, felt the most real to her, the most scholarly, the most impartial. It wasn’t filled with hyperbole and myth and wild stories told by grandmothers. This one was written, paradoxically, by a bishop, in the 16th century. Also a doctor, he had seen dozens of inexplicable cases of cor

Blood and Moon: Book Two - Onyx

Blood and Moon: Book Two - Onyx

“Just the pair I was looking for,” Ezekiel’s face lit up when he saw me and the wolf walk into the room. My eyes darted to Luna Ximena who stood off to the side. Like her son, she wore her emotions on her sleeve, and it was very evident something was upsetting her. Now was not the time to be falling apart. Within a few minutes, the stooges would advance on us, and without knowing exactly what Ezekiel’s reaction would be, on top of not being able to calculate for all mishaps, we were treading in dangerous waters. Araya would be able to mask their presence, but once inside, once in the room, there was no telling how long it would take for her to fix this issue. How long would we have to hold o

June Summerfield

June Summerfield

Maybe she could ask Zoran if she could spend a couple of hours here every day. Walking down the isles, she noticed all kinds of books. Some on witchcraft, others on vampires, elves, unicorns, dragons.. everything she’s ever read a fantasy book about, there was plenty of information on it. Just as she was going back to the first floor to wait on Zoran, she saw it. The werewolf section. She couldn’t control herself. She had already glanced at all the other books but those. Slowly, she made her way over, looking at all the titles and covers. Finally, she found what she was looking for. Reaching up, her fingertips grazed the spine as a hand grabbed her wrist.

The Pack's Dragon

Cameron said as one of the bodies snapped its teeth at the birds that pecked it, the food trying to eat that which sought to eat it. “Yep,” Jules agreed grimly. “They’re all still… Well, pfft,” he blew out his breath. “Can’t call them alive.” “Feisty?” Harry suggested. “That will do it,” Jules smiled up at his mate. “The bodies on the ground are still feisty. We have the zombie-infected sheep and the true zombie-sheep.” “Will vampire blood cure the infected ones, do you think?” Cameron wondered. “Or hybrid blood?”

Broken Promises

Broken Promises

I sighed wishing they would hurry up and let us board. The flight home wasn't bad, the first class section hardly had anyone in it. I read most of the way home to keep my mind off of Seth and on the Zombie apocalypse. I was obsessed with anything Zombie related. This particular book followed a girl who had been separated from her group and was trying to make her way back. It was actually really good and made the flight go by.

ahhhh!!!im really frustrated 'bout whats happening! i mean, i'll still be happy to see them both together at the end but rn, i would def love to see Kennedy see someone else you know just to give Seth a dose of his own med and just to let him know that he's not the only one in there!?!!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. With the many statements as: "I made a face/frowned/cut my eyes at" – it irked me lol. But very good nonetheless. Kennedy was strong headed but also stubborn, Seth was annoying in some scenes and never thought about anyone else until it was convenient for him.

Demons within Me (The Cambion's Son) Book 2

Demons within Me (The Cambion's Son) Book 2

My hands trembled and I closed my eyes and bit my lips to calm myself. " Fuck! Is this true?" I stattered. I had to go to school early so that I can go to the library and find a book about werewolves myths. I wanted to know what kind of mark is this that just appeared in my nape. I wanted to know my origins. If I'm not a mortal like them, who am I? Our fellow people once told me that I'm the plague in our town Ragnarok and many died. Some said that most of the deceased people were all eaten by a wild animals. They said that wolves was the one who attacked them during hunting.

“So, who do you live with then? Your mum?” “No, my mum's dead too. I live with my older brother.” I added saving him the stress of having to ask. The truth seems to be working, I just have to edit the unnecessary parts, like the fact that my brother is a vampire that is about to be crowned king of the underworld.

Vampire Queen (Book 2 Vampire Witch Trilogy)

I just couldn’t tell what it was, but it was different and I didn’t like it. “I’m come with a message from the new leader of the subterranean vampires,” he said. “I beg your pardon?” I said with confusion. “There are more vampires living below ground?” “Queen Sybil’s kingdom,” he said warily. “Have you forgotten your mother’s kingdom already?”

Reincarnation: Husbands Kept Flocking to her Side

Zombie 2 added with a scared lifelike expression on its greyish face, scaring their two other companions that their eyes almost fell off. “Wu... Wu... Wu!!(I saw that too! I saw that too!)” Zombie 3 also trembled. Even though they were Zombies with no feelings, the little girl can easily make them have these emotions swirling in their chest like a storm. Ah so scared, they almost want to pee their pants right here, right now without being ashamed.

Questions fréquentes

The horizon for horror in 2024 looks deliciously disturbing, with several titles already generating palpable buzz among readers. Grady Hendrix is returning with 'How to Sell a Haunted House', and if his track record is any indication, we're in for a blend of familial trauma and visceral scares that feels both modern and classic. I'm equally intrigued by 'Lone Women' by Victor LaValle, a historical horror set in 1915 Montana that promises isolation and a terrifying secret a woman carries in a steamer trunk—it sounds like a perfect storm of atmospheric dread and social commentary. Then there's 'Whalefall' by Daniel Kraus, a claustrophobic survival horror about a diver swallowed by a whale, which just the concept alone makes my chest feel tight.

Beyond the big names, the indie and mid-list scene is buzzing with potential. Think about the momentum from recent hits like 'Tender Is the Flesh' or 'The Luminous Dead'—readers are craving horror that challenges form and preys on very specific, societal anxieties. I've got my eye on emerging voices in folk horror and eco-horror, genres that feel particularly potent right now. There's also a noticeable lean towards deeply psychological, almost literary horror that prioritizes a slow, creeping unease over outright gore, which I find fascinating. My to-read list is already stacked, and I can't wait to see which of these books becomes the next 'must-read with all the lights on'.
