Afterwards I decide to go back upstairs and rest for the remainder of the evening. Night falls, and with it a thunderstorm stirs up. Lightening cracks and for some reason outside of my bedroom, I swear I see sinister red eyes peering in at me. Feel like it must be the exhaustion of the day. I close the blinds, turn on N*****x. I feel dread again as a precaution. I make sure the house is locked up with the deadbolts he installed. I also lock my room to make sure I am extra safe. I snuggle up with a blanket and put on the TV. I change my mind about N*****x and put on “Discovery of Witches” on A****n Prime. Wishing I could find a man like Matthew.

His wrinkled face looked like it was crawling with countless wriggling worms. I shuddered and stepped back, whispering to Silvia, "Good thing I've got you. This place is terrifying." She snorted and suddenly shoved me forward, straight toward George. With an icy laugh, she said, "This pretty boy will make a great offering. You're going to love him." Before I could react, George gestured, and several eerie puppets stepped forward to pin me down and drain my blood. A sharp bell rang out, echoing through the night.

Her mouth was stretched wide in a horrifying shriek. A wave of pure hatred rolled off her, so cold it burned the air. The chat stirred to life again. [Here we go! Classic jump scare!] [That's one of the manor's most vicious ghosts! It feeds on the players' fear!] [This newbie is toast! She won't even have time to react!] [I can already picture her getting torn to shreds...] But I didn't scream. I didn't run. Of course, my heart condition chose that exact moment to flare up. The pain was so bad I could barely stand.

Pierced through knuckle skin, blood's dripping onto the wood floor. I slam my eyes closed against the horror. That's what this is, a horror movie. He's drugged the whiskey, is using suggestion to make me see things. Right? “Maci,” Not his voice. deeper, tectonic plates grinding together. But the way he says my name, I have to obey and look at him. Our gazes collide. Different, the same, glowing irises. A sob bubbles up my throat and with it the contents of my stomach that can be contained no more.

It swung open into the foyer, and Eveline froze. The television. The memory of that night flashed through her mind as a horror movie played in slow motion. She’d thought the sound was the television. Shane liked to watch movies until late at night, even though she complained that the volume was too loud and she had the morning shift at the clinic. But the TV screen was blank. And the sounds…they were too real. Too familiar. She knew, in her gut, that she was walking into something horrible. But she dragged her feet, as lead and heavy as they were, through the hallway.

The shadows moved with purpose—the workers, thirty strong, silent but ominous, creeping ever closer to the house. He closed the door, dragging a wooden table behind him like a crude barrier. His hands closed around the rusty fork, feeling a cold bite, then he dropped it to pick up the heavy hammer, testing its weight in his bloodied hands. A voice rang from behind the door: "Open up, you madman!" "Death is inevitable!" The driver's eyes widened, glowing faintly in the darkness like smoldering coals. He remained silent, defiant, watching the shadows outside. Suddenly, a window in a side room shattered. The workers began to climb in, one by one, their intentions clear and deadly. The driver st

The next second, the Patchwork Monster tore the man in half. He tossed the body outside casually. Just then, a crisp, bell-like voice sounded outside. “It’s after work hours, who’s so rude as to be throwing bodies around?” A young girl with three heads and eight arms appeared at the doorway. With just one look at the shop, anger filled her voice, and her hair stood on end. “Who the hell had a death wish and smashed the Number One Must-Eat shop in the entire horror game?”

Chapter 87 3rd POV The wendigos crept forward as liquid shadow ‚ their eyes glowing brighter with each step they took into the moonlight. Their skeletal bodies twisted unnaturally ‚ long limbs tipped with claws that looked capable of slicing through steel. The air grew colder than the dead of winter‚ frost crawling across the forest floor as their presence pressed in closer.. Sharon’s breath misted into the frigid air‚ her fingers trembling not with fear‚ but with a strange and hungry power surging through her veins. It felt as though the forest itself had awakened inside her‚ feeding that wild current.

She didn’t look at me, but I felt her awareness brush mine through the mind link. Steady, she sent. Always. I stopped at the center of the floor and let Inferno rise, not outward, not overwhelming. Just enough. The house responded. Not dramatically. Not violently. The beams hummed. The air tightened, like a held note waiting for harmony. Everyone paused. “This is the Haven of Shadows,” I said, my voice carrying without force. “It exists for those who’ve been discarded, hunted, erased, or broken by their own kind.” I turned slowly, meeting eyes, vampire, witch, rogue, shifter, human. Family. “It is not neutral ground,” I continued. “And it is not a democracy.” Rowan’s jaw clenched, but he did

The omegas had quietly delivered large bowls of buttery popcorn, an assortment of fizzy drinks, chocolate, and even some gummy worms—because, as Phoenix insisted, “It’s not a horror movie without gummy worms.” Gabby sat squished between Seris and Rory, clutching a soft blanket like a shield. Cato was behind them with Alex and Tyler, while Phoenix and Lucian lounged side by side in front, feet kicked up, already tossing popcorn into each other’s mouths. “I still don’t understand why we’re doing horror,” Gabby muttered, already suspicious of the creepy violin in the film’s score. “Because it’s tradition,” Phoenix said with a mouthful of popcorn. “Besides, the first jump scare always tells you
