Innocence of Love

In the dark night of thunder and storm there stood a helpless mother who at this moment wanted only one thing from her God to give her enough strength to save her only child from those dark shadows who were roaming in her house to kill her and her child. Those shadows already killed her husband in front of her eyes; now she can't let them kill her baby.

She is hiding in the storeroom which is at the back most of the house, for an outsider it is a little difficult to find this storeroom. She has a very little time to save her child before they find her. She is pacing in the room with the baby in her arms thinking to find a way to save her child.

Suddenly she heard a voice. She looked here and there but couldn't find anyone but the voice can be heard. When the voice became little clear she moved towards the source of the voice and saw her most loyal servant Mohan peeping through a small window and seeing him here a broken sob escape from her mouth.

"Madam I have called the police. They will be here soon. I'll not let anything happen to you both."

"I'm not worried about my life Mohan, I just want my child's safety" she said.

She hurriedly wrote something on an old newspaper piece which was lying there and handed it to Mohan.

Mohan looked at her confusingly and asked "what is this Madam?"

She after gulping a lump formed in her throat said " Mohan you always say that you can do anything for your Sir and Madam so today I'm trusting you with my baby's safety. Take my child from here to the address written in that paper safely. Everything is written in that paper you just hand over this paper and my baby to the people there."

"But Madam, how can I leave you here knowing that those monsters will be here soon to kill you? I can't go" Mohan said desperately.

"Mohan, I don't have much time, just do what I'm saying. Nothing is more important than my baby's life for me. Please just do as I say" she pleaded.

Mohan just nodded helplessly at his Madam.

When she tried to give the baby to Mohan, the baby started crying and it alerted the killers outside. She hurriedly removed her chain and put it around the child's neck and after kissing her child one last time she gave the child to Mohan.

"Run and don't turn back."

Mohan ran from there to save the innocent life in his arms.

After sending her baby she turned towards the door and wiping her tears she stood straight to face those monsters.

Few minutes later Mohan heard a gunshot. He flinched but seeing an innocent life in his arms he again started running to save the baby.

When he was near to cross the Mansion's gate he heard a thundering voice from behind.

"STOP RIGHT THERE!"

Mohan froze on his feet. Gathering all his courage he turned and saw that one of the killers was shouting on one of the goons. Mohan sighed in relief and ran away from there.

Here that goon was shouting.

"What you think you are doing here, you bastard? Here we all are trying to find that child and you are drinking. If Boss got to know that we failed to finish the whole family he will not think twice before killing all of us. Go and find where that child vanished."

When after searching the whole house they couldn't find the child they burned the whole house and fled from there.

Mohan reached outside a big mansion and told the guards to let him inside but guards were not ready to let him in at this hour. But after seeing the innocent child in his arms they let him in the guard's shelter area to save the child from the storm outside. Then they called inside and after getting permission they sent Mohan in.

In the mansion after getting a call from the security this late, a man and a woman in their early 30's came in the living room to see the late night visitor.

Mohan came inside with the crying baby in his arms. 

After seeing Mohan the man asked "who are you and what are you doing here with a child?"

After seeing the baby crying the lady moves forward and takes the baby in her arms from Mohan and tries to calm the baby.

Mohan with shivering hands gave the piece of paper to the man. After reading the content of the letter the man's eyes become teary and he turns to see the baby in his wife's arms.

In the meantime a lady in her late 60's came downstairs.

"What happened, Amar? Who is he?" She asked.

"Mom, Sameer. He...is no..no more." The man said and burst into tears.

"What are you saying, Amar?" his wife, Anita asked looking at the baby in her arms.

With a lot of difficulty Amar started narrating what is written in the letter.

"Mom, some goons entered Sameer's house and...and....the-they killed them." 

Listening to this all gasped in horror.

"Shalini in her last few minutes handled her daughter's responsibility in our hands Anita." Amar continued turning towards his wife and the baby.

Anita saw the innocent baby in her arms and asked "Amar she is our Sameer's and Shalini's daughter. She is our Meera?"

Amar just nodded his head. Anita started crying loudly for her best friend. But after listening to Meera's cry she came back to reality.

"Anita calm down and check the baby first. I think she is hungry, feed her something" Radhika, Amar's mother said.

Anita nodded and handing Meera to her mother-in-law ran towards the kitchen.

Amar then moved towards Mohan and said "come inside and tell us everything you know about this."

After settling on the sofa Amar signaled Mohan to start. Mohan after gulping water placed in front of him started.

"Sir and Madam reached Mumbai yesterday. They had decided to shift here permanently from Kanpur and….."

"But Sameer never told me about this. We talk regularly on the phone." Interrupted Amar.

"Sir wanted to surprise you, that's why he never told you. We came here yesterday only and a few hours ago some men came inside and without any warning shot Sir in his head. To save the baby, Madam hid in the house and when I reached there she handed me that letter and said to give the baby to you people."

After listening to all this Amar stood up and went towards Anita who is now feeding milk to Meera and silently crying for the loss.

"Don't worry Amar this little doll is now our daughter. We will be her new parents."

With a proud look Amar nodded at Anita and caressed Meera's head.

"It's late now you and Mom rest inside. I'll go to that place and talk to the Police and try to know why this happened to my friend." Amar said and left with Mohan.

A few minutes later a 4 years old boy came downstairs rubbing his eyes. He frowned seeing a sleeping baby in his mother's arms. He doesn't like the idea of his mother keeping a baby in her arms instead of him. His possessive mind decided that he doesn't like the baby.
