Tread lightly

The same issue kept on building up, so I left to get him a glass of warm milk from the kitchen, on my way there, a shadow passed in a flash which gained my attention.

I turned back and couldn't see anyone there, other than the chairs and sofas in the living room.

"That's strange," I said and went straight to the kitchen.

Afterward, I returned holding onto the glass of warm milk.

"What is that?" He says with a frown.

"What does it look like, it's warm milk of cause" I answered and placed it on the table.

"Thank you, Alexi's," Mr Leonard says as I walked out of the room, heading straight to mine.

(Inaudible conversation, as it drifts to the following morning)

I  jerked up from the bed after several knocks on my door, "who is it?" I asked and took heed of Keith voice, "it's me" he says softly.

My feet strolled out and saw him still in his pajamas, "good morning Keith, do you need anything?".  I asked.

He disapproved of my idea, " no please, I only wanted to tell you that, we will be leaving for a business trip this morning, so please get ready". ( Unfrozen immediately and walked away)

(Hour's later)

I packed up my suitcase and met him and Mr fabian seated at the dining room table.

He shoots me a rather fake smile, as I took to space with them at the table.

The maids in charge of serving the food move out of the kitchen and slowly passed our plates to us, ambling away.

"Let's pray". Mr Leonardo placed his head down, and we all shared a short prayer, ( shocking, even demons to know how to pray).

Afterward, we pulled up our spoons, only to intern Keith screaming again.

"Ahhh" he tossed the plate away in fear like a maniac, adds up as he rushed into the kitchen and dragged the kitchen staff out.

"Keith, what are you doing, stop it?" I said

He turns a furious look on and said, "why should I stop it, can you see what she served me, all in the name of food.

We all fell our eyes and met the broken plate of spaghetti sauce on the floor.

Mr. Leonardo weaved out a deep breath, "it's only spaghetti!!! Son". He says, veering Keith attention as he infers the same thing.

"How is that possible!! I didn't see this, I saw broken nails on my plate and not this". ( Out of disbelief, he falls back to the chair.

"Seriously son, are you sure you're okay, do we need to call the doctor".

Mr Leonardo words vents out an angry tone from him, "don't you dare call me crazy father, because I am not crazy okay, please let's leave, the sooner we go the better I'll become".

(Keith left in a dash as we looked at him and after a few headcounts, left to get with our bags)

(Royalton hotel)

We moved out to our rooms the second the car stopped, Keith room was three rooms away from mine and Mr fabian's room was further away.

After a few seconds of rest, a call came through my phone and I answered without checking the caller ID.

"Hello," I said, waiting for a response.

(No response yet, which got me tensed)

"Who is it, can you please speak up?". I added and it gets the call disconnected.

(Inaudible conversation)

The same day, a good stroll around the hotel resort will get my mind off a lot of things, so I said and walked out to have some alone time by myself, hopefully, Alvin doesn't ruin this for me. ( Frowns)

It's as if, I spoke too soon, the person in question, walked over to my room and called out to me.

"Alexis, can I please have a moment of your time?" (Waits for my response)

I giggled my head and answered, "yes, but I was going for a stroll?'. ( My words)

" Then I won't be able to take part of your time, just please grant me this request" ( wears a weak smile, waiting for my response)

"Okay, fine" I responded, iddling for his words.

Alexis moves further in and met my eyes, just to infern something else, "you?" He airs out publicly, gazing into my eyes.

"Yes, it's I, what wrong with you" my words back to him, rather he nurdged me on bed, and chocked the life out of me.

Somehow I paired my hands aside and got a hold of a broken bottle, by smarching it on his head.

The sound of what happened, pushed the guests who passed their attention, and so did Mr. Leonardo, he walked in and said, "what happened?'. Seeing Keith unconscious on tht floor.

I donned a terrified look and explained everything, Mr fabain walks out after ordering his son be tied up.

Afterwards, Keith regain consciousness and met himself tied up to a chair.

He raised up his head and met me seated on the bed, "Alexis, what the hell is this?". ( Inquired but someone else swops in before I could alter a word)

" What does it like son, and please don't say anything, while the doctor he runs some check on you".  ( He walk in with the doctor behind)

Keith frowns and vents out, " don't you dare come close to me!!! And get me untied right now".

Mr. Leonardo disapproved his idea and strolled close,"calm down son and please let the doctor examin you".

"No!" He latched out again and falls a furious look at the doctor, "get out" he adds up which made him disappear from the room without altering a single word.

I tried to run  out to the doctor, but halts the second Alvin threatened to do the needful, if I leave the room.

Mr. Leonardo snapped back, "what is  wrong with you, can't you see you're gradually loosing your mind, today you almost choked Tori to death, I wonder what next".

A flabbergasted glare drop on his face, (Keith) " did I do that?" He falls back his eyes to me, "yes, you did, what has come over you?". I answered back with a question and met him fight with words.

"I..don't.. know..but.. I..saw.. someone..else...in place of you", (he words out)

"Who did you see!!" I inquired

"I saw my brother, Chris". (He says to us, indeed Keith has lost his mind)

"Seriously, do you have to believe that you're now hunted my the spirit of your brother?". ( I frown and met him affirming my words)

"Yes, please, believe me and yes, i know it's crazy but I am saying the truth, my brother spirit is gunning for my life".

I strolled out and left him alone with his father, he turned to him and said, "do you perhaps not believe, dad?". (Frowns)

Mr.. Leonardo disposed his words and storms out of the room, after getting him loosed from the chair.

Meanwhile, I got out to get some fresh air, when a little girl walked up and past a written note over, that reads, "smile while you still have teeth".

The odd message got me thinking, who in his right mind would send me such, Indeed it's strange.
