Chapter 1 – I'm Such a Fool!

"I'm going to end my relationship with that stupid girl."

It was as if lightning had struck when Giselle stood frozen behind the door of the luxurious hotel room. The voice was unmistakable—Dirly’s. The man she had fallen deeply in love with. And yet, his words pierced her like a knife.

Her whole body trembled. The phone in her hand shook violently, nearly slipping from her grip.

Slowly, she pushed open the slightly ajar door, her heart crumbling. It hurt—like a dagger twisting in her chest.

There he was. Dirly. In bed with a beautiful blonde woman. The two were covered only by loosely draped blankets, their bodies intertwined beneath the sheets.

"Dirly..." she whispered in disbelief.

Dirly turned sharply. His eyes widened in shock as he saw the girl who had trusted him completely standing there—face pale, heart shattered.

"Giselle?!" he blurted out, panic rising in his voice. "What are you doing here?!" he snapped.

Giselle raised her phone, aiming it at the scene.

"You're such a bastard! I gave you everything—all of my mom and dad's assets! And this is what I get in return?!"

The blonde woman smirked, her fingers trailing over Dirly’s shoulder. She seemed unfazed. "Oh, so this is the stupid girl you mentioned, darling?"

"Yes, Aura," Dirly muttered, brushing her hand off and getting out of bed. He stormed over and grabbed Giselle’s phone. "How dare you try to record this?!"

"Dirly! Give it back!" she yelled, reaching for it—but he was faster.

The phone slipped from their hands and crashed onto the marble floor, shattered.

"I can't believe this..." Giselle whispered as tears spilled down her cheeks. "I trusted you. You said you'd protect me. You said you'd marry me. But..."

Dirly leaned in close, his expression cruel and mocking. "You're pathetic, Giselle. I was only using you. Did you really think I loved a naïve little girl like you? Don’t kid yourself. I’ve been after your parents’ fortune all along. And now? I have it. Hahaha..."

Giselle lifted her hand to slap him, but Dirly struck first—his slap landed hard, sending her crashing to the floor.

Aura simply watched, smiling smugly.

"Stop it!" Giselle screamed, forcing herself up. But Dirly grabbed her by the neck, squeezing.

"Don’t you dare come near me again," he hissed. "You have *nothing* now. Everything you owned? It’s mine. And you're all alone."

Giselle sobbed—not from fear, but from pure rage. The bruises on her skin might fade, but the betrayal cut deeper than anything else.

As Dirly and Aura retreated into the room, Giselle stumbled away, her steps unsteady. But her resolve was unshakable. She would make him pay.

Just two days ago, she had turned nineteen. On that day, her parents’ lawyer had handed over the inheritance—everything her late mother and father had left for their only daughter. They had died in a tragic accident when Giselle was just ten.

And how foolish she had been. Without hesitation, she entrusted it all to Dirly. They had been dating for two years, and Giselle didn’t want the burden of managing her father's company. So she gave it to him.

"I'm so stupid," she muttered through gritted teeth. "Dad, Mom... I'm sorry. But..." She wiped her tears and lifted her chin.

"You don’t have to worry. I’ll take everything back."

Nine o'clock in the evening. A light drizzle began to fall, soaking Giselle's tangled hair. With unsteady steps, she walked along the deserted sidewalk. The only sounds were the falling rain and the rapid beating of her heart.

"I don’t have anyone now…" she thought. "But I can’t be weak! I must take revenge—no matter what it takes."

Dirly had kicked her out. All of her belongings had been thrown outside. She wasn’t even allowed to step inside the house.

Suddenly, gunshots rang out.

DORR! DORR! DORR!

Giselle froze, her heart nearly leaping out of her chest. A few meters ahead, a man dressed in black was staggering. He glanced back, then tried to run again—but his steps faltered.

"He’s… bleeding?!"

She could see clearly now—his back was drenched in blood, the fabric of his shirt torn and soaked.

“Hey! Are you okay?!” Giselle called out in panic.

The man didn’t respond. He gave her a quick glance before collapsing to the ground.

Without hesitation, Giselle rushed to him. “Oh my God! Hey, wake up! Can you hear me?”

“Don’t... touch me... get out of here...” the man hissed weakly.

“I’m going to help you! If I leave now, you’ll die!”

With great effort, Giselle dragged his heavy body into a narrow alleyway between two buildings. His breathing was labored, sweat soaked his forehead, and blood continued to seep from his wound.

She pulled a cloth from her small bag and tore the bottom of his already-ripped shirt.

“You were shot. But it looks like the bullet didn’t go in too deep. I need to stop the bleeding.”

The man glanced at her through half-lidded eyes. “Fool... why would you dare help me? Aren’t you afraid of dying?”

“I’m not afraid of death. I have to save you. Now shut up and stop talking.”

Her hands trembled as she pressed down on the wound. “Hold still... this is going to hurt.”

He grunted, his jaw clenched against the pain. But he didn’t scream. He didn’t even complain.

“Why are they chasing you?” Giselle asked quietly.

“Don’t ask so many questions, silly girl.”

Giselle shot him a sharp look. "This man is seriously annoying," she thought.

The rain grew heavier. The narrow space around them darkened, lit only by flashes of lightning through the cracked, leaky tiles overhead.

After a few tense minutes, Giselle wrapped a tight cloth around the wound. “It’s done. That should be enough to stop the bleeding for now.”

The man leaned against the wall, eyes fixed on the ceiling. A heavy silence settled over them. Giselle was actually terrified—but she pushed the fear aside.

“Mr. Leon! Are you alright?!” a man’s voice called out nearby—it was the stranger’s assistant.

Giselle froze. “WHAT?! That name… Could it be… him?”

Chapter 30 The sky was beginning to darken when Leon's car pulled up in front of the De Santos family's grand mansion. The door opened from the inside, and the servant greeted him with a worried expression upon seeing Leon's condition. "Good evening, young master!"Leon walked past them without speaking. His white shirt was stained with blood, there was a small tear on his sleeve, and a blue bruise was beginning to form on his left jaw. But his gaze remained cold. He showed no sign of pain.In the living room, an elegant woman was sitting and reading. She didn't immediately look at Leon, but her tone was sharp as she spoke.“You must have killed someone again.”Leon snorted briefly, then collapsed onto the sofa. He removed his leather jacket, revealing slightly scraped arms. “I’ll kill anyone who bothers me.”Mrs. Hansel closed her book. Her eyes fixed on the wounds on her son’s face, then she sighed deeply. “How long will you keep living like this, Leon?”Leon didn’t answer.“How

Are you going to class this morning?” Vina’s voice came from the other end of the phone.Giselle glanced at the rearview mirror while driving. “Yes, I’m going.”Her head still felt heavy. Her eyes were swollen from crying all night. But Giselle knew one thing—she couldn’t show weakness. The car drove calmly toward the campus. But just two blocks before the gate, her eyes caught sight of a familiar figure. It was Dirly. The man was strolling out of a café with a woman.Giselle slammed on the brakes. Her hands gripped the steering wheel, her eyes narrowing. The woman wasn’t a professor. She was clearly not a cousin or a coworker either. The woman’s arm was draped lazily over Dirly’s hand, while the man smiled at the sexy woman.“Ugh, that bastard,” Giselle muttered, her eyes filled with anger.Without hesitation, she turned around. Her car followed from a distance. She opened her phone camera and activated video mode. Dirly and the woman got into the car, and Gisell

Five in the morning. The cold air crept in through the window that was not completely closed.Leon had been sitting on the edge of the bed for several minutes. His hair was still messy, his back bare, his sharp gaze fixed on Giselle's sleeping body. Her breathing was steady and peaceful, as if nothing had happened the night before.Leon sighed softly. His hand reached for the small drawer beside the bed, pulling out a small box containing contraceptive pills.Leon stared at the pills for a few seconds. Then he stood up, walked to the table, and poured a glass of water. He returned to the side of the bed, gazing at Giselle.Without hesitation, he slapped Giselle’s cheek—not too hard, but enough to wake her up in panic. “What the hell?!” Giselle jumped, her hand touching her sore cheek. “Drink this,” Leon said coldly, handing her the pill and water.Giselle stared at the object, then looked up, gazing at Leon with wide eyes. "Are you kidding?" Leon didn't respond. His gaze remaine

Leon emerged from the bathroom, drying his hair with a small towel. Wearing only loose-fitting pants and no shirt, his skin was still damp from the hot steam. He thought the room was empty, but his steps halted abruptly when he saw Giselle standing right in the middle of the room.“Again?” Leon growled, his eyes narrowing sharply. “Isn’t it enough that you embarrassed yourself tonight?” Giselle didn’t respond. She stared intently at Leon, then slowly stepped closer while pulling something from beneath her nightgown—a small metal handcuff and a thin satin ribbon.Leon narrowed his eyes. “What the hell is this?”Before Leon could step back, Giselle had already pulled both of his hands forward and quickly locked the handcuffs around his wrists.“You’re crazy?!” Leon clenched his teeth. “Take these off right now!”But Giselle remained calm. Her gaze was sharp, cold—unlike before. She reached for the satin ribbon and, without hesitation, wrapped it around Leon’s neck like a necklace, the

  • Betrayed, Contract Marriage with Mr. Devil   Chapter 26 — Mission

At five in the afternoon, Giselle arrived at the De Santos Mansion. The taxi she was riding in dropped her off at the main gate. There was no usual greeting from the servants. Giselle headed straight to her room. She tossed her backpack onto the small sofa, then stood in front of the large mirror. Her hair was messy, her face tired. But tonight, she couldn’t afford to look tired. This was one of her toughest missions: sneaking into Leon’s room and trying to get him to touch her body. “Calm down, Giselle. You just need to tease him a little more,” Giselle murmured as she unbuttoned her shirt. She quickly entered the bathroom. The warm water helped relax her mind. But it couldn’t calm her heart. A voice inside her still asked—how long must this continue? But another voice answered quickly—until Dirly pays for everything that bastard took.Meanwhile, Leon had just finished an afternoon meeting with his investment team. His car drove slowly along the hilly roads leading to his home. In

The sky was already bright when Giselle finally arrived at campus. She got out of the taxi with quick steps, her backpack slung casually over her shoulder. The time was ten past nine. She still had time to get to class, she thought. But her steps halted when she saw a luxurious black car parked not far from the main entrance of the faculty building. From inside the car emerged someone she recognized—Dirly.Giselle narrowed her eyes. The man looked sharp, dressed in a suit, with his usual smug smile. But what was more surprising was the woman holding his arm—Aura. The young, beautiful lecturer. Giselle stood stiffly in front of the building, unable to move as Dirly’s eyes locked onto hers. A sneer immediately appeared on his face.“Giselle?” Dirly greeted her as he approached. His voice was full of mockery. “Wow, you’re still studying here.”Giselle simply crossed her arms over her chest. “Of course. Because I can still afford it.”Aura smiled confidently as she linked her arm through
