Dylan's POV

“Alpha Dylan, I will have my secretary draw up a new plan,” Luke said to me, choosing his words carefully. “If that would please you.”

I observed him calmly, trying to look for any sign of deceit or foul play. In this kind of setting, there's no one you can trust. At least that's how I've lived my life. That way, I know nobody is springing up surprises against me.

“You agree to have only thirty percent of the returns?” I shot up my brow, finding the whole thing difficult to believe. “And how does that benefit you and your pack?”

Both men looked at each other. I noticed the younger man shift uncomfortably on his seat. He had been silent since the meeting began, probably too timid to speak before me.

“A…Alpha dylan,” the younger man stuttered as he called my name. “Everyone knows business thrives in your pack, it's all thanks to your hard work over the years.”

I nodded my head, seeming impressed by him. He should be in his early twenties but he seems like one who would thrive in the business world.

“I didn't catch your name before we begin,” I nodded my head towards him but it was Luke who quickly responded.

“He's Jake, my younger brother…”

I shot Luke a glare so he shut his mouth. Even though he is an Alpha of his own pack, he knew better than to defy me.

“Is this a family business? Why am I in a meeting with two brothers?” I scoffed, then continued after seeing the confusion on Luke's face. “Where's your Beta?”

“He went out of the pack to attend to some matters.” Luke explained. “You'd meet him when we come to your pack to finalize.”

I nodded, my eyes regarding Jake. There's something about him I couldn't quite place. He seemed remarkable but there's more to his personality.

“Hmmm… but I don't see your Beta here,” Jake said, clearing his throat. “Alpha Dylan.” He added, nodding his head at me.

I shot him a quick look, he was right in his observation. It was tradition in our world to do business with at least two pack officials. The reason was for these officials to be part of the decision making process.

Just as I opened my mouth to respond to him, a strange sensation suddenly overtook my body. My wolf seemed to be howling in joy and my nose suddenly picked up a strong, feminine scent.

I tried to control my body but that seems to be a hell of a task. Even Gaya, my wolf, seems to defy me at the moment.

Suddenly, the door pushed open and the scent got more intoxicating. It smelt like a rich petal of roses.

Immediately I turned my head to face the door, I heard the most beautiful word every wolf always long to hear.

“MATE!”

Gaya, my wolf let out a long, happy and satisfied howl. My wolf was glad we finally found our mate.

I couldn't contain the joy inside of me.

Just as I was about standing to go meet my mate, she turned away from the room and bolted out of the door.

Immediately, my wolf howled inside of me. Only that this time, it was no pleasant or satisfied howl.

I remembered the lady all too well, I had met her when I visited the hospital. That explains the attraction I had felt for her when we met.

‘Is she gonna reject us?’ Gaya asked from somewhere deep in my mind.

‘Don't talk about rejection, she wouldn't dare do that!’ I warned sternly, instantly shutting Gaya off.

My eyes shot straight at the two men in front of me. Their mouths were still hanging open just like it had been moments ago.

“I apologize for that unruly behavior of my pack member.” Alpha Luke said to me, finally finding his voice. “I would make sure to punish her.”

“Punish her?” A scoff escaped my lips. “Do that and you'd have me to deal with.” I said calmly but he understood the message.

“What's it to you anyway?” Jake shrugged, gaining my attention. “Why do you care about the bitch?” He spluttered and something immediately stirred within me.

I forced myself to remain on the seat.

“Call her bitch once more and you'd be sorry!” My voice came out in a deep growl, even Gaya seems to be angry at him.

Jake broke into a laugh, “I don't mean to offend you Alpha Dylan.”

I didn't respond, I was too invested in my thoughts to give a damn about this nitwit.

“If I may ask Alpha Dylan,” I heard Alpha Luke say and I sat properly to hear him speak. “Why are you so interested in this bi… lady. We could have better girls arranged for you.” He paused, seeming to think for a while. “If you want,” he finally added.

I shook my head, these men clearly don't know how long I've waited for this.

“I want no one else but the girl” I declared, “I want no one else but my mate.”

“Your mate?” Jake cut in, “That's got to be some joke right?”

“It's no joke. Do I look like a clown to…”

“Fucking hell! She can't be your mate!” Jake banged his hand on the table, his voice rising.

That was it. I stood up from the chair, my eyes instantly turnimg to a flaming orange. I fought the urge to control my wolf as it tried to completely take over. I saw Jake cower in fear but he has pushed me to the limit.

“Next time you defy me, I won't be so merciful.” I warned, staring straight at Jake from where I stood. My eyes were still flaming orange from the anger burning inside of me.

I've killed wolves for saying less offensive words, Jake's only saving grace was because I found my mate today.

Being without a mate for long, people had formulated different theories about me. Some said I can't have a mate because I have been cursed by the moon goddess. Even my pack's seer believes that.

“Please have your seat Alpha Dylan,” Alpha Luke tried to calm me. “I apologize for my brother's unruly behavior.”

“Please take no offense, Alpha Dylan.” Jake apologized, but his tone was nothing close to being sincere.

I waved both of them off. I was beginning to get bored of the two men in front of me.

“What's her name?” I asked, my eyes darting from one brother to the other.

“Who?” Jake inquired.

I clenched my teeth hard and glared at him. I had clearly give him much credit earlier.

“My mate.” I forced myself not to yell

“Oh!” Jake ran a hand through his hair, as if wanting to withhold that information. But after a quick glance at my face, he let out, “Ava, Ava is her name.”

“Ava.” I repeated, rolling her name on my lips. “Quite a beautiful name, don't you agree?” I laughed, not failing to notice the odd look Jake threw at me.

  • Entangled with the Savage Alpha King   Chapter 26

Dylan's POVI stood over the rogue, my eyes fixed on his terrified expression. He pleaded with his eyes for mercy, his voice quaking with fear, but I ignored him. I had no sympathy for fools like him.Damon handed me a pair of pliers, and I took them, my grip tightening around the metal. The rogue's eyes widened as I approached him, the pliers held menacingly in my hand."Please, Alpha," he begged, his voice cracking with fear. "I'll tell you anything. Just don't use that on me."I smiled, a cold, calculating smile. "You should have thought of that when you were being all boastful," I said, my voice dripping with disgust. With a swift motion, I gripped the rogue's finger with the pliers, a sharp twist and he let out a loud cry. Damon and the other guards watched, their faces impassive, as the rogue begged for mercy. But I wasn't done yet. I twisted the finger again, and the rogue's screams grew louder, more desperate. I could see the fear in his eyes, the terror that gripped his heart

Dylan's POVI saw her eyes flash briefly as she heard me. She twisted her mouth, but no words came out. Instead, she tried to move away from me, but I caged her in. This elicited a soft gasp from her. Her eyes were now looking below her feet.I scoffed inwardly as I observed her. Where did all that earlier bravado suddenly disappear to?I wanted to ask her but I chose not to. Instead, I lifted her chin to meet up with mine. Her soft amber eyes stared back at me in what I couldn't quite describe. Was it the pure innocence that radiated off them? Or was it the tender and blissful way which her pupil dilated?I imagined myself indeed making her pupil dilate and a smirk formed across my face. Even my wolf seemed to kick inside of me in joy at the naughty thoughts that formed in my head. She tried to shift from where I cage her in but I didn't allow it.“Stay,” I muttered close to her ears, contemplating biting softly on the flesh. My mouth lingered there for a while and it took all my wil

Ava's POV I stood before Dylan, my anger and frustration boiling over. "What happened to having my own freedom? You're always so quick to assume the worst about me, aren't you?" I yelled, my voice echoing through the room. "You think you'd make me some kind of prisoner here, don't you?"Dylan's expression remained calm, his eyes never leaving mine. He didn't flinch, didn't react. It was as if he had expected me to lash out at him.The guards, however, looked taken aback by my outburst. One of them stepped forward, his hand on the hilt of his sword. "Don't speak to Alpha like that," he said, his voice firm but cautious.I turned on him, my anger still simmering. "And you need to apologize for the way you treated me," I spat, my eyes blazing. "You had no right to manhandle me like that."Dylan's voice cut through the tension, his tone firm but calm. "Apologize," he said, his eyes flicking to the guards. The guards exchanged uneasy glances. It felt like they almost couldn't believe what

Dylan's POV“Nowhere in the pack?” I asked Marietta, now closing the distance between us. She nodded then took two steps backwards, her eyes looking everywhere but me.“So where would she be then?”“I-I don't know, Alpha. Forgive me.”“Forgive you?” A dangerous scoff escaped my lips as I shifted closer towards Marietta, “What nonsense are you talking about?” I growled, clenching my fists by my side.Marietta gulped, then opened her mouth to talk but no words came out.“Start talking now so I won't do something I might regret.”“I…I” she stuttered, before shutting her mouth. My eyes fell on her jittery hands and I instantly knew this was more serious than I had thought. What the hell was she talking about not finding Ava? Had Ava suddenly developed some wings and flown out of the pack? I tried to believe this must be some kind of a joke. But knowing Marietta, she wouldn't dare pull such stupid jokes on me. Not when she knew it could land her in trouble. Marietta had doubled as my perso

  • Entangled with the Savage Alpha King   Chapter 22

Dylan's POVI clenched my hands at the chaos before me, my mind reeling at the sudden turn of events. More than half of my warriors were trapped inside a net that had shot up above them like a giant spider's web.I looked around then clenched my fists even harder, my anger and frustration had almost hit the roof. But I had to maintain my normal stance, any sign of faltering now may affect the spirit of the remaining warriors behind me.“What the hell is happening?” I turned to face Damon who had now taken a defensive stance.I observed his eyes widened and even his hands clenched to the weapon by his side. I now understand the strange feeling since we stepped around the area.I scanned the surrounding area, I couldn't shake the feeling that we'd been set up. Someone must have tipped off our enemy, but who? I thought back to our planning sessions, trying to remember if anyone had seemed suspicious. But everyone had seemed on board, eager to take down Georgia and whoever she had partner

  • Entangled with the Savage Alpha King   Chapter 21

Ava's POV“They get punished?” I asked, my eyes widening, “Why would he punish them for liking him?”Marietta shrugged, “That I don't know. Most people believed Alpha is a beast without a heart.” She paused looking around before adding, “Some others say he knew he'd never have a Luna, so he knew the women were all playing games. He never did anything serious with these women.” she whispered.“Why would he never have a Luna?”“You don't know the story? Even a child in this pack knows about it. Alpha was cursed by a witch.”“Cursed by a witch? Isn't that total nonsense?”“No, it isn't. Georgia isn't someone to say nonsense. Her prophecies always come to pass. She cursed Alpha to be mateless.”“To be mateless?” I scoffed, finding the whole thing funny.“It's not some joke. That was why Alpha would go to any length to bring you here. Took him a long time to finally find his mate.”“And how do you know all this?”“Duhh,” She let out while rolling her eyes. “Have you forgotten I'm Alpha's s
