Chapter 90 The Introduction
Tieanna's eyes locked onto Niklaus, her gaze piercing and searching. She seemed to be sizing him up, trying to determine if she could trust him. After a moment, she nodded slightly, her eyes never leaving Niklaus' face. as the others watched in amazement.
"Deal," she said softly. "I am a Meridian. We are an aquatic species, able to live in both water and on land. We live not far from your Island. W-we have been watching you all for some time, well I have, our true form is...different from what you see now." She tries to explain without revealing too much.
Niklaus smiled, his fangs gleaming in the light. "And I am a Vampire," he said, his voice low and smooth. "An immortal species, living in the shadows for centuries, but we now live with humans openly." He paused, his eyes locked onto Tieanna's. "We mean you no harm, Tieanna. We're just trying to understand."
