" Matteo, where's your Don?"
I asked the cold-faced guy who hated me for no reason. Matteo shot a glare at me, his eyes holding curiosity. I couldn't fall asleep after what Alexis had faced today because of me. Perhaps it was so normal for them but I couldn't stop the self-blaming.
Matteo sneered at me, his eyes narrowing,
" Why? So that you can cause some trouble freely?"
I scoffed at him, intending to find it by myself,
" Says someone whose work is killing."
I saw Fiona at a distance. She was coming out of the study with a dark face. I instantly knew where Alexis was as Fiona hated to keep her ass away from Alexis. I walked in that direction without asking anymore. The door was already opened. It took one gentle push to enter. I was scared to make any noise since I knew that Alexis was angry with me.
My eyes darted around to find him but he was nowhere to be seen. Before I could take another step forward, a growling voice stopped me,
" I can smell you, woman."
