"You can never change, always rushing everywhere to make sure that your money is intact," he said with a smile.
I shrugged. "If I don't take my business very well, I will go broke, and you know what will happen to me if that ever happens."
He nodded. "Yep. Many packs will tear you apart for selling weapons to their opponents. But don't worry. If you give me those two new enterprises that you started, then I might be tempted to protect you from them."
I scoffed, not only because of what he said but mostly because he said that he would protect me if he knew about my involvement in what happened to his mom. I am sure that he would have made me an example. Hayden was not the forgiving type, just like me.
"Please, it will never come to that, and like I told you, the main reason why I came is to see your beautiful mate who was sick," I teased, and he scoffed.
He rolled his eyes. "Sure, I believe you. Did Donovan contact you for a new business deal?"
