Nani told Emily that Garrett was only 16 years of age when he became the Alpha king, carrying a burden of a pack, and overseeing the whole packs at that little age.
Emily felt pity for the young boy, Nani went on with her story, of how Garrettt became so hard and bitter to everybody but he could act and pretend to care when the pack members were around.
Nani now held Emily’s hands in hers “Emily, promise me one thing”
Emily looked startled at that, what was she going to promise Nani? “Promise me, you will stand by him, love him no matter what, promise me you will never leave Garrett, as he is your mate”
They both stared at each other “Child, I know Garrett might be scary, you might despise him for wanting to reject you, he is only doing that because he is unable to love, promise me you will teach him to love, tell me you will try with him”
How was Emily going to promise such thing? Can she love him? Will he ever allow her to get that close to him? How can she teach such a great Alpha
