Violet’s POV
I groaned out, feeling a sharp, throbbing pain in my skull as I drifted back to consciousness. My body felt heavy, my limbs sluggish.
I forced my eyes open, the ground feeling rough beneath me and the place clogged with dust.
"You brought a human here?" A voice yelled out startling me.
A second voice answered, defensive. "The scent led to her, I don't know what we did wrong."
I stiffened, and my breath hitched as realization dawned on me.they weren’t talking about just any human. They were talking about me.
My hands were bound, the rope digging into my wrists, but it was tied loosely. They hadn’t bothered to blindfold me anymore because I was human and they believed I was defenseless.
