Chapter one hundred and thirty two: Men Don't Sulk
Asher's POV
For a while, I remained rooted in the same spot right in front of Liam's door. Liam was my first port of call when I was in a bad mood, not alcohol or the beach or driving.
I had called him on my way to his house and he informed me that he was at home even though he had just gotten back from work. In addition, Rylee was at home too.
After wiping the last tear drop off my moist cheek with the back of my palm, I rang the doorbell once and then twice, before waiting for their response.
"Oh, big man!" Liam exclaimed, grabbed my hand, and pulled me in for a big hug. "You're here already." He said, before releasing me to close the door.
"It seems like you're expecting someone else," I started from my observations.
"Not really, but Rylee went grocery shopping and I thought it was here for a second." He said and led me to the couch.
"Oh, I see." I just bluffed.
"Do make yourself comfortable." He motioned for me to sit down
