2022-10-29 16:32:50Randy was still pissed off about the meeting as he got in his SUV with his Beta and they drove out of there one by one. Reaching for the chilled water that was placed on front of him,he drank it as a warily eye watched him without speaking.
"Cat got your tongue? Why are you watching me?" He said as the new person just shrugged and went back to his IPAD."Just surprised. You made us rush here just to grab a girl. Which is common thing that you would do but still don't make it less confusing. What's your plan?""Do I need to have a plan in mind? She just seemed tiny and incapable of murder. I believe there is a bigger play to all of this." He said as Kendall frowned and bit his lips. Kendall was his faithful Beta. He had defected from the pack when Randy was leaving too and had followed him diligently and helped him with building his own pack."Well I figured that she might have had help while doing it." He said with a shrug as Randy paused for a moment and said,"You didn't get down.""Pardon? What are you talking about. " Kendall said dropping the IPAD to focus solely on Randy now. Randy smirked knowing that he had his full attention and continued,"I said that you didn't get down. Your family......it has been years, you do not want to see them." He said as Kendall shrugged but Randy knew that he was hurting."I came here to serve and protect you. Not to look for my family. They are better off without me. Besides to them I am a disgrace." He said as Randy frowned this time around. He wasn't the one to hold hands or comfort others but this was Kendall he was talking about. He had a bind with Kendall. He was his only Friend, and he left his whole family to protect him and follow him into a unknown and scary future, had almost died thrice for him and never once questioned him or was disloyal to him. The only thing he could offer was comfort for his friend turned brother."You are not a failure. Sure, you did things that they didn't like but you are by fine the greatest person I know..if your family still doesn't want you, don't leave me then. Anyways we have gotten what we need. We won't come here again. I promise." He said as Kendall smiled and rolled his eyes."Acting caring now are we? The almighty scary Randy... Demon Alpha. Sure, anyways what is the girl doing? Who is she to you?" He said bringing them back to their original conversation as Randy shrugged and said,"I am not sure yet but I guess we can find that out later. Aria was going to kill her because she was accused of killing my brother. Luckily I got here in time to stop the madness." He said as Kendall wound down the window.They were speeding on the high way as he could see the cars that was escorting them in their positions as he glanced at the car housing the strange girl and said,"But what if she was the one who killed him. She got to be a Beta or something to even have this access to him." He said as Randy replied,"She is an Omega and I know she is not the one because also the day that my brother died, another alpha died and a wolfless was blamed. Same scenario and she claims she doesn't know what happened either. Luckily the pack was eager to hand the girl over to me, to find the truth while the Alpha's younger brother was crowned Alpha." He said as Kendall was shocked."I haven't been briefed about this yet. Considering we met on the way here but sure. So your theory is that someone or group of people are taking down Alpha's of certain packs and blaming it on unfortunate people who wouldn't be missed and of no important value to the pack and could be easily gotten rid of." He summarised as Randy gave him a nod."Well that is seemingly convenient. So we got two dead Alphas in the space of two days and two unfortunate victims who almost lost their lives and they both claim not to have memory of what happened." He said as Randy gave him another nod. He was impressed by Kendall ability to quickly see the situation for what it was. He had a keen eye, another valuable traits of his."This will be fun. Do you think that you would be next? Or you want to play it safe for now." He asked as Randy thought about it for a moment and said,"If we know this much, that means that they know that we have saved two of their pawns. Since the manner of death is still left unknown, we do not know how to curb the situation so it arises, but we also can't live in fear, waiting for something to happen so no, playing it safe is out of the question. If anything I am actually intrigued by the mind of this person or wolf. I want to know his next move. And that means we have to trick him that we are ignorant and know nothing." He said as Kendall smirked and said,"Sure I understand. That means we have to treat our new guests like the criminals other think they are. And we need to pull this off. What could possibly go wrong?" It was a rhetorical question so Randy didn't bother replying.The sun was setting as they made it to their packs without any hitches and all the cars packed in their respective places before rolling to a stop.Randy was busy scrolling through his phone playing CANDY CRUSH to keep himself busy as Kendall tapped him to gain his attention."Yes Kendall?""We have arrived at pack, Alpha. Let's go down."
