WRAITH’S POV

I was covered in blood. None of it was mine. I peeled off the leather cloak from my body and walked into the shower.

The ice-cold water rinsed away every single trace of blood, and I watched the reddish water go down the drain.

It had been another assignment, just like any other. Those men broke the rule and had to pay with their lives, and yet… I couldn’t just close my eyes and forget that I’d ended three lives today.

I took out the hardcover book from the drawer, adding three more names to the list. But this time penning their names down didn’t make it any easier to bear.

I was raging inside; I wanted—no, I needed a release, something to make all this pent-up anger disappear, and I knew just where I had to go.

The Underground arena was the last place I should be, and yet here I was.

When I was younger, this had been my biggest fear; standing in a ring and facing someone twice my size, but now, what once terrified me had become my own solace. That’s how fucked up in t

WRAITH’S POVI worked better alone. Always have. This mission was no different. The black Maserati I drove came to a stop before the Time-stone Hall, where a wedding was taking place.Cole, the groom, was a high-class billionaire. While he owned several highly successful companies across the continents, half his wealth came from ‘other’ sources—dirty business and shady deals. He was the only human with a strong foothold in the underground world.I’d done business with Cole once; The Silver Pack had needed weaponry, and one of his companies majored in that. With a man like Cole, his wedding was bound to cause a stir in the community. But he wasn’t the reason I was here.I put on a pair of black gloves before taking out the silver cuffs, placing them by my side.I remained in the car, watching the time tick by.At exactly 12:01pm, Rafaele Callister walked out of the building, escorted by half a dozen bodyguards. Two cars were already waiting. As I’d predicted, Rafaele got into the first

Sophia headed to the room and looked over her shoulder. “I’ll be waiting,” she said to Jake. The moment she closed the door behind her, Jake turned to me. I could see the panic in his eyes.“You can do this.” I assured him.“But I’ll need you. I can’t... it’s just—she doesn’t do it for me. I need you there.”I knew exactly what he meant, and a part of me was relieved at that thought. This beautiful lady isn't at all appealing to him.“I don’t know if she’d want that. I’d have to ask.”He nods. And together we head into the room to join Sophia. She’s lying on the bed, completely naked, when we walk in.Jake immediately turns away.I was doing this to him; I was pushing him against his will, and yet he was willing to do it all for me.There’s no look of panic on Sophia’s face and I guess that’s a good sign.“Sophia, I wanted to—”“It’s fine. I don’t mind you being here. We were told to expect this.” She said easily with a smile, and I can’t deny I do like this girl, even if the thought

**ANGELINA POV**I held the pregnancy test in my hands, hope rising in my chest as the seconds ticked by. Earlier, I’d felt a bit nauseous and wondered if it was a sign—if I was finally pregnant. But then, a single pink line appeared. Not pregnant. I couldn’t hold back the tears. Damn, I’d been so hopeful; I thought this was finally it. I thought….wrong. Just like I’ve been the last hundred times I used the pregnancy test. I didn’t know why I was always so hopeful. I should give up, I should stop hoping, and perhaps that’s exactly what I’ll do.Distracted as I was, I heard the footsteps a little too late and only managed to shove the pregnancy test into a cabinet and wipe away my tears before Jake walked in.“I’ve been looking for you.” He said with a bright smile on his face.I’d heard that werewolves feel a sense of relief after shifting—that the feeling comes from their wolves finally being given a chance to be free. But then he looks at me—really looks at me.“What’s wrong?” he

It was only a few minutes to midnight when Wraith returned.I spotted a few bruises on his face, but the smile he wore kept me from asking.“Well, it’s time.” He says, just as excited as I was.He quickly took off his clothes, leaving only his dark colored pants on. I watched him, not bothering to hide the fact that I was checking him out.And then, He led me out of the packhouse, dressing in nothing but my nightgown.“Where are we going to?” I asked.“The woods.”The thought of being in the woods at midnight, surrounded by wolves, wasn’t a very calming thought, but the excitement outweighed the worry. And then I heard it—a howl, echoing from somewhere in the distance.I couldn’t tell how far away the wolf was, but I knew it was coming from the woods. “A wolf?” I questioned, though I already knew the answer to that.“It’s Rex.”“How do you know that?” I asked. My question is soon answered when another howl rises in response—and then many more join in.The howls fill the once-silent n

TESSA’S POVI couldn’t believe I was in Wraith’s room. I’d slept in his bed, and he had stayed right by my side until morning. His sheets smelled like him, and I couldn’t help but pull them closer to take a deep inhale. The sound of the shower running told me exactly where Wraith was. I fought the urge to sneak into the bathroom—partly because I wasn’t sure I was welcome, and partly because I was afraid I might be. I was still sore, so I made the smarter decision to stay in bed.Wraith had finally opened up to me last night; he’d told me about his parents and his pack—his past. That had been what I’d always wanted: Wraith’s trust. But the revelation had been... scary, for so many reasons. Now I finally understood the rivalry between him and the Callisters and he had every damned right to hate them. If I’d had caring and loving parents and they’d both been murdered along with everyone I grew up with—that'd be more than enough reason to not just seek vengeance but to hate the murderer

Our moans filled the room, bodies slick with sweat as I thrust deeper into her—kissing her, drinking in every sound she made. Her fingers dug into my back, hard enough to draw blood, and fuck, that turned me on even more.I’d once thought her too fragile. I’d never been so wrong. She trailed kisses down my neck, and if she goes on like this, I might just lose every bit of control. I couldn’t allow that. And so I captured her lips once again, my hands wrapped possessively around her neck, careful not to choke her. as I pounded into her. My body shuddered with release threatening to break free, but I held back—I needed her undone first.I couldn’t imagine what the past few days had been like for her.The words ‘I love you’ were at the tip of my tongue, but this wasn’t the right moment—not when we were so caught up in the heat of it. I felt her writhe against me, crying out my name as she came so hard, she took me along.“Fuck. That felt so good.” I admitted. Her head fell onto my shoul
