Chapter 7

Leila's POV.

Having two hotheaded people in the house is just crazy. These two have been asking me questions nonstop about my mate who I don't even know his name. I know I am messed up but you can't blame me. I just hope I will see him soon.

"I am off to sleep," I told them as I walked upstairs.

"Don't think you are escaping this topic stupid child. How could you not even ask for his name?" Marcus asked, making me roll my eyes.

"What do you really expect when I get my wolf and mate on the same day and time? I was happy and flabbergasted of course. Some things were meant to escape my mind," I said.

"You are so stupid," he said.

"Just like you. The only difference is that you are more stupid than I am," I said while showing him my tongue.

"Can both of you shut up? Marcus, let her be for goodness sake. You are behaving like a child and she is the child here," Elana said.

"I am not a child. Does a child have breasts or get a mate," I said proudly.

"I just feel like beating the shit out of her so that she can remember some things which are more important than running and laughing around," Marcus said.

"What has made you be like this? Should I remind you that when you discovered Elana was your mate, you kissed and fucked her even before you got to know her name?" I asked.

"How the hell do you know I mated with her on the first day we met?"

"Have you forgotten that werewolves can differentiate between mated she-wolves and unmated she-wolves?"

"You are such a nosy little girl," he said.

"You are talking as if you aren't poking your nose into my affairs," I said, making him roll my eyes.

"My ears are aching from listening to your nonsense arguments. When both of you are done call me," Elana said while leaving the room.

"Bitch," we murmured when she left.

"I heard that," she said, making us roll our eyes.

"Why..." he was interrupted by the door opening.

"Who is that?" I murmured.

At this time, Elana had already come back to know who it was.

"What a surprise. I thought you all would be asleep," Liam said.

"Then why are you here if you knew we would be asleep?" Elana asked angrily.

"Watch your tone, woman. You are speaking to your alpha," he said with a loud voice. I think his wolf was at the point of coming out.

"Respect is achieved, Liam. I thought we were a family," she said calmly in the second sentence.

"And we still are a family," he said while looking at her confused.

"Then why did you make my sister's life miserable? Aren't you the alpha? Shouldn't you lead by example?" she asked and he averted his gaze and looked at the ground.

"Ashamed, I can see," she said with a chuckle.

"What did she ever do to you to deserve such treatment?" she asked angrily and I knew if he continued to keep quiet, her wolf would surface.

I want to alleviate him but do I want to? After everything he had done to me?

"Tell me," she shouted.

"I said watch your tone and I don't take disrespect from anyone," he replied aggressively, making Elana chuckle.

"Alpha? Do you call yourself an alpha? Should I remind you that your father hasn't passed the title yet to you? And a person who rejects his mate can never be an alpha. You know the rules," she declared calmly and Liam looked at her shocked then glared at me.

Right now, I wasn't afraid of him. He can really go to hell for all I care.

"So don't you dare provoke me 'cause if you do, I will go and tell your father what kind of a disgraceful thing you did," she said.

"He would be glad that I rejected her," he said with a smirk. "You can go ahead."

"Really, but what would the council say? Would they agree with both of you?" she said and at this, his face was priceless. "That's what I thought. Now can you tell me what you are doing in our house before I add that to the list of what to say to the council" she said coldly.

"I...I just came to inform you that as the beta's family, you are invited to go to the Lycan prince coronation tomorrow alongside us," he said.

"Aah, isn't that great news? Maybe I will tell the king that instead of the council," she said with a dark smirk.

"Please don't, I will accept her back but don't," he begged.

"It's already too late, don't you think? You can rebound the pain you have caused her through those two years. Can you leave my house," she said authoritatively.

This is the first time I had seen her this angry. I was trembling out of fear of what she would do next. Before Liam left, he glared at me.

"You better change the look you are giving her, idiot. I am sure you don't want to regret more than you regret," she said.

"I know what I did is unforgivable but can't all of you forgive me, please? I promise I will change my attitude towards her and accept her as my mate and luna," he said pleadingly and I felt sorry for him.

I am so sure if I hadn't met my second chance mate, I would have given him a chance but he is already too late.

"As I said earlier, you are already too late and I am sure she can't accept you after everything you have done," she said, making me roll my eyes.

"Leila please forgive me and accept me back," he begged and I smirked.

I may not be heartless but here? I am enjoying the scene.

"I am sorry but I can't. Don't you remember you rejected me and I accepted your rejection? I asked and he looked down. "Just leave. Tomorrow will be a long day and we need to get enough sleep for it."

He nodded his head when he realised that he had already lost and walked away.

"I didn't know that I had such a fierce mate," Marcus said.

"Just shut up. Why do you think I am the pack's beta? Elana said and we started laughing.

"So, are you ready to meet your mate again tomorrow?" She asked and I blushed.

"I will make sure to work on you in the morning so that he won't take his eyes away from you when he sees you," she said and I ran upstairs out of shyness.
