The Ruthless Alpha’s Hybrid Mate

The Ruthless Alpha’s Hybrid Mate

"I will take her in exchange," Alpha Dante declared, and the ball room instantly quieted down, and all eyes turned to the said girl. Whispers filled the ballroom, although it was rather useless since everyone could hear them clearly with their heightened senses. Rhea, the object of discussion, stood there in tattered clothes, confused and seemingly lost. She never wanted to draw so much attention to herself, but here she was with everyone's eyes on her because of a single statement from one man. "I am sorry, Alpha Dante, you must be mistaken, that is not my daughter..." Alpha Collins said but was rudely interrupted by Alpha Dante. "She is the one I want,” Alpha Dante said coldly. “Give her to me or forget about our deal.” ***** Born a mix of blood, half vampire, and half werewolf, Rhea was neither considered a werewolf nor a vampire. Just someone who wasn't needed. Someone who shouldn't exist. Someone whose existence was an abomination. Her father's absence in her life and her mother's passing rendered Rhea homeless, nowhere to go, and no one to turn to. She is forced to fend for herself from an early age, serving as a maid in the packhouse despite being hated and scorned by all. Dante, an alpha whose path had always been painted Scarlet, cursed by the moon goddess, walked a lone and bloodied path. He never asked for a mate and never wanted one after all. He was cursed by the very entity their race worships. He never thought he needed one until he met her. For the first time, he felt his heart waver, his silent beast stirred in the presence of another and definitely not out of hostility.

Chapter: The White Wolf 2
At the Crimson Claw Pack, Stella sat inside the drawing room, her back to the door. Her eyes stared thoughtfully into the distance through the open window. A faint crease settled between her brows. When she heard footsteps approaching and the familiar scent of her Alpha draw near, she turned towards the door, rising to her feet. “She is sleeping,” Dante said before she could even voice her question, already able to read her thoughts.“That's good,” Stella breathed out, relief flooding her. She turned and returned to the couch.“You said something earlier about her fur,” Dante said.Stella paused briefly, and then she smiled and sank into the couch. “I did,” she said, and Dante’s eyes narrowed slightly. “It was snow white. That's rare.”“You didn't sound like it was just rare,” he pointed out, and she nodded. “Then…?”“Have you seen a white wolf anywhere in your many travels?” she asked, but his frown only deepened as he shook his head. Stella's smile was warm as she said, “that's be

Chapter: The White Wolf
Back inside the packhouse, Rhea moved around the room, still mesmerized by everything. She came to stand in front of the full-length mirror. She looked at her clothes, they didn't match the luxury of the room. Then there was her washed off scarf still tied around her head. Her hand reached for it, and she loosened it. Long, dark hair with fiery red tips fell down her back and shoulders framing her face. On her head were a pair of white wolf ears. Rhea took a moment to look at her own reflection. Her eyes that were a dark red shade were now dual color of red and blue. The colors receded whenever she wanted to keep her features hidden as if responding to her silent wish. And whenever she lets out her ears and tail like this, they will take back their original colors. She moved sideways so she could see her own back, and her eyes trailed down to her butt where an oversized baggy pants had been worn and a long, oversized sweater was worn over it. Underneath it was her tail. Rhea gl

Chapter: The Crimson Claw Pack
The Crimson Claw packhouse was a huge mansion. From where Rhea stood and how far she could see, there were tall trees all around and gardens on either side. The people here smiled when they welcomed their alpha, and she didn't feel any negative energy from them, unlike at the Winter Pack. They looked at her, not with anger, annoyance, and hatred, but with pure curiosity. Especially the old lady who looked at her with eyes so bright that Rhea could see the sparks in them.“Who is this lovely young lady with you, Alpha?” The woman asked, her expression softening when their eyes met. Rhea's grip on Dante’s sleeve tightened, not from fear but because what she felt at that moment was foreign to her, and she didn't know how to react appropriately. Dante looked at her when he felt her grip. She poked out from his side like a little rabbit coming out of its hole for the first time. He smiled, his hand going behind her and circling her waist before gently tugging her forward to stand beside

Chapter: Can't Feel The Mate Bond
The ride back to the Crimson Claw Pack was long and filled with a heavy silence. The incident from earlier still fresh on the minds of everyone. Even Rhea had her mind occupied with the happening, but sometimes, a different thought slipped in.Her eyes would occasionally drift to Dante’s face, and she would find him with a frown. The longer the frown persisted, the more uncomfortable and guilty she felt, thinking she had done something wrong that angered him.“...Alpha,” she called, her voice low, barely above a whisper.Dante looked at her briefly, his dark eyes meeting hers, and she shifted where she sat. Her hands clutched the hem of her skirt.“I…I didn't mean to offend you,” she said, “I just…” Rhea was beginning to stammer under his gaze.Meanwhile, Dante’s eyes remained on her for a few seconds longer, and then he sighed inwardly, his thumb went up his face and rubbed the space between his brows. “Do you know what you did wrong?” He asked, his voice still clipped despite tryin

Chapter: An Ambush 2
As soon as Dante moved away from the car, Rhea opened her eyes. The sense of security she had felt earlier was gone, replaced by a growing uneasiness. Her instincts roared to life. The fight outside quickly caught her attention. Her eyes darted left and right, fear overtaking all her senses. Her hands flew to her mouth to stop the involuntary shriek that nearly escaped her throat. Outside, she saw Dante move. His back muscles flexed as he took off his jacket and shirt as though they were bothering him. His hands clenched and unclenched as if they itched. He shifted as he strode toward a bleeding creature. Dante was huge, and unlike the other shifters around him who were on all fours after shifting, he stood on two feet. His frame was even larger than before his transformation. Thick black fur covered his massive body, and every step he took carried an overwhelming authority. For a few seconds, Rhea forgot about the danger around her. Her gaze remained fixed on him, as if everyth

Chapter: An Ambush
Rhea followed Dante to the cars parked outside, her eyes blinking at the sight of the expensive cars. She looked at him, her eyes silent asking if she was allowed inside something like that.Reid and Kael stood beside the car, and Kael held the door open.“Get inside,” Dante said. His hand was placed on her lower back, lightly pushing her forwards towards it but not enough to make her move against her will. “If you don't want them accompanying us, we can send them away, and I will drive.”“No… that wouldn't be right,” Rhea quickly shook her head, eyes widening. How could she make an Alpha drive himself or in this case…drive her? “Let them drive.” She added. “Mhm,” He hummed. He looked at his beta and gamma and gave them a nod. “Rhea.”Rhea paused at the sudden mindlink. She looked around and found the source at a little distance, standing under a tree. She stared at Julian in shock. Why was Julian sending her a mindlink when he had never done that before? The Lycan's Possession

The Lycan's Possession

Esme believed in this saying for as long as she could remember. These words gave her the strength and courage to live each day as it came until she eventually became tired of making those lemonades and wished for something else. Something—different. But that only seemed wishful thinking. Born as a noble and made an orphan after a rogue attack, Esme became the unwanted pack member of NightCrawler Pack. The once daughter of an alpha became nothing but a slave who answers to the new alpha’s family’ every beck and call. The pack that had once adored her now ridiculed her and laughed at her mistreatment and misery. They seemed to have forgotten how her family had fought for the safety of the pack and the kingdom and even lost their lives for them. But in all this, Esme remained silent. Silently enduring and hoping that one day, her knight in shining armor would come and rescue her. He will show up one day and take her away from the once happy place that has now become her hell. When that day eventually came, she was rejected without a second thought, and she watched as her world came crashing. Hard. Her heart caved in and lost all hope of ever finding happiness again. Or even leaving the pack. After all, what could a wolfless shifter do? Amidst her misery, a ray of light appeared. She was blessed with a second chance, mate. One whose outstretched hand she was hesitant to take, especially after knowing who he was.

Chapter: Miss Diana 2
Dinner began with Diana sitting awkwardly and occasionally throwing glances at the couple. She just stared at her food while they seemed to enjoy every bite, savoring it's taste. “This can't be happening,” she muttered, her fists clenched around the knife and fork that she held. Esme and Grant looked in her direction. She froze, but only for a moment, her stare turned into a glare. “Is the food not to your liking, Miss Diana?” Esme asked. It isn't like Esme to celebrate another's misfortune, having been on the receiving end of it her whole life, but she didn't feel bad for Diana. Grant was her mate, her second chance mate. She couldn't let another take him away. She didn't want to experience the pain of the mate bond snapping loose again. It was already unbearable the first time. A second might just kill her. Especially after she was starting to feel comfortable with Grant. Esme didn't wish to be queen. She just wanted to be his mate. To be treated kindly and respected as

Chapter: Miss Diana
The person before her was a woman Esme had never seen within the palace walls. Yet, there was something about her, the way she stood, that arrogant glint in her eyes as though she owned the place.Esme paused, her brows furrowing. The woman’s very presence unsettled her, and she didn’t like the feeling one bit.“Well? What do you want?” The woman’s tone dripped with rudeness, her arms crossed over her chest as she leaned against the doorframe, a perfectly carved brow arched in arrogance. Her rudeness was one thing—but why did she act as if Esme were the intruder here? Esme wondered silently.“Are you mute?” the woman asked, impatience curling her lips. “If you can’t talk, at least—”“Where is Grant?” Esme cut in, her voice steady. Her eyes narrowed at the woman, and satisfaction flickered within her when the woman’s face twisted in shock at the mention of the king’s name—without a single title.“What did you just call—”“I’m here for Grant, not you. Please, step out of the way,” Esme

Chapter: Hidden Motives
A month had passed since Dawson had been locked up inside the dungeon. He spent many days left alone, and other times, he was visited either by the alpha king or his beta. Two faces he has come to despise more than anything. During this time, he never once saw Esme, not even catching a whiff of her scent. The sound of approaching footsteps had his ears perking up and gase fixated at the hallway until the now familiar scent of a palace maid greeted his nostrils, and a scowl appeared formed between his brows. “Hey Dawson,” said the maid once she was right in front of him. “I've brought your breakfast. I know it's not easy staying down here, so I even added a little something in there for you.”Dawson stared at expressionless, but that didn't seem enough to take the bright smile away from the maid's face.“I'll try to speak with King’s mate today on your behalf. I'm sure if she is the one asking him to set you free, His Majesty would listen. He truly dotes on her.” She continued anyway

Chapter: The Only One To Trust
Inside the king's study, Grant sat, his expression cold and unamused. The deep furrow between his brows only grew deeper. Although Leonardo was right in front of him, giving a summary of everything that happened during the day, his mind reeled back to Dawson and his claim on Esme. The more he thought about it, the more restless his beast became. Even though he knew ew it wasn't true, he couldn't shake it off his mind.“Alpha…!” Leonardo called when he could no longer ignore the growing tension in the air. It was almost suffocating even for him. “....” Grant looked at him but uttered no words. “Do you want to talk about it?” Leo asked, but he still said nothing. “I can't help you if I don't know what is going through your mind. Your mood does not only affect me. Everyone else is suffering from it.” “I want to know who her ex-mates are. How many they are and what they mean to her,” Grant suddenly said. His words took Leonardo off guard, but he was quick to recover. Knowing there w

Chapter: Warning
Alpha Dane could barely restrain himself even though he knew that it was true that Leonardo had not left them since their arrival. Even now, despite the king asking a few of the council members to wait behind, Leonardo was still with him and Grimes, not with the other alphas. But that didn't mean Leonardo had no idea where Dawson was. As the royal beta, he had the ability to mindlink almost everyone within Lyrria. Keeping contact and an active link with all of the palace staff and guards was nothing to him.“Do not test my patience beta Leo. I don’t have much of it…” Dane uttered but interrupted by Leonardo’s chuckles. He looked truly amused, and that rubbed Dane's pride and ego the wrong way.“You didn’t answer my question, Alpha Dane.” Leo said after his laughter ceased. His eyes narrowed pointedly, and he leaned forward just a little. “Why did he come with you? Why didn't he accompany you to our little gathering earlier? Why was it only you and your beta that were seen stepping thr

Maintaining eye contact alone was already troublesome for her as it was. He couldn't fathom how hard it must be for her to say what was in her heart. Her lips quivered, and the solution she thought of to stop the trembling was to bite them, hold them between her teeth. But that pricked his heart. He wanted to stop her. To tell her she didn't have to force herself to speak, but then that would deprive her of the chance to speak. She was trying, and she had to be patient. That was what he did. He waited, even sitting beside silently. Silently encouraging her.“I…I don't want to go back to my pack. I want to stay here. I… want to accept the…the bond… that we have now. C…can you help me?” She stuttered through every word. Her voice trembled, lips quivering and nearly biting on her to
