He wants her back: The billionaire’s leading lady

He wants her back: The billionaire’s leading lady

“He tried so hard to replicate the real thing, it’s impressive…well I’m back now, and your services are no longer needed.” Myra knows this is the end of her and Pierce, seeing the girl who looks strikingly similar to her holding his arms in the hospital. No amount of hoping she can win him over, and living in a world of delusion can make the multi billionaire CEO, Pierce Blackwood hers. To him, she’s just a stand-in, after all. When Pierce’s ‘true love‘, Tami, returns, Myra knows it’s time to step away. There’s no need to humiliate herself anymore when the man she loves clearly has his attention on someone else. Determined to reclaim her dignity, Myra breaks up with Pierce, blocks his number, and decides to leave the past behind. But just when she thinks she’s free, Pierce corners her once again, unwilling to let go. “Are you done with this tantrum? Now come home with me.”

Chapter: Laced with mangoes
“Oh god.” “Oh god, oh god, oh god” I whispered in front of the mirror, hyperventilating. My skin was flush as I stared at my dress in the mirror, checking for flaws where there was none. “Oh god.” My hair was piled at the top of my hair in a mess of beautiful curls and pearl beads, it looked like it would fall off my head if I moved too fast but I had counted a lot more than twenty three pins as rhe hairdresser worked. She had also assured me it was secure when I refused to even turn my head, so did hannah, and Lily, and Bianca, but it’s not like the hair was the reason for my nerves. “All done.” Madame Camille said stepping back to admire the work of art that was on my body. She smiled, impressed at her own skills before she double clapped and the doors were open. The three women I had been thinking of earlier including Angie, filed into the room all in deep purple dresses and smaller bouquets in their hands. Heidi was holding a little basket filled with dried daisies “Oh

Chapter: Flowers
“Mum! I don’t like this hat,” Heidi tugged on my arm drawing my eyes from the painting I had been admiring. On her head was a muffler beanie hybrid that Angie had made her wear as soon as we entered the art gallery. “can you convince nana to let me take it off. It’s tickling my ears.” I glanced behind, where Angie was squinting at m one of the art pieces, not Pierce’s work though. She hadn’t noticed Heidi slipping away yet, and I knew she would definitely not like Heidi taking it off since the room was very cold. I gave Heidi a sympathetic look. “You know you just recovered from a cold, cut nana some slack she’s trying to keep you safe.” Heidi said something under her breath before she returned to Angie’s side, arms crossed and pouty. And I was certain that pout would stay on till Pierce joined us. I knew he was somewhere in the room talking to Gregory, his artisan friend who owns the studio and convinced him to display his art exclusively at this gallery. My patience was on it

Chapter: Lobotomy
The next several weeks were a whirlwind in our lives. From being hounded by reporters about our relationship, to the near death experience at the halloween party. Not to mention all the personal questions. It seemed being associated with the Blackwoods meant the media felt they deserved all the information about my life. I had almost sucker punched a reporter when she asked if Heidi was a charity case. A few times I would catch Pierce with a regretful look in his eyes when it got too much. But it didn’t stop him from taking me to every party he was invited to, or from holding me, kissing me. The whole incident at the parking lot was still a secret. We figured it would be best to drop the whole bomb after Tami had healed and Heidi’s school was on holidays. That way we could dip for a few days to a private beach house and leave the media to run wild. Which it did. Of course I didn’t find that out till we returned. I then spent three hours binging on story after story and of cours

Chapter: Three bullets
My eyes drew shot and I flinched, waiting for the pain that would come with the bullet. To face death twice in one night. This time I was sure this was it for me. Several seconds past. There was no pain. I peeled my eyes open. Her arm was hanging by her side, a red stain on her shirt that was spreading fast. That wasn’t right. She looked past me, anger and shock on her face. “Leo! You son of a bitch!” She spat, blood spurting out of her lips as she stumbled back. Leo stepped forward, the barrel of his own gun pointed at her. “You’ve done enough harm Ava.” He gritted out. “I’ll kill you!” She yelled one last time, rage on her face and raised the gun again. As she fired again, a large body knocked into her wrestling her to the ground. Pierce! I thought, fear pooling in my body. Sure he was larger than her but there was a gun involved! Another gunshot sounded before Ava went silent. Pierce shot her. I took a step forward, just as he rose to his feet. “Pierce!” I cried in

Chapter: Finishing the job
“Now I want you to really think about every answer you give me. The second it feels like I’m being lied to, I will walk out of this hospital without a backward glance, are we clear?” She nodded again. “I need you to use your words Tami, no matter how much it hurts, even if you feel like dying, don’t worry, I’m here to make sure that doesn’t happen. So… I’ll try to be quick. Uhh…when was the first time you tried to hurt me, like really hurt me?” They was that bob in her throat but she said nothing. I lifted a brow, waiting. When she remained silent I pushed my seat back and rose gingerly. “Wait…please!” She rasped, “I’ll t-alk.” I sat back down. “The first time…it was on set, the…pool.” “What happened at the pool, Tami?” Her eyes darted to me pleading. I gave no sign of sympathy. “the lights went off…I changed the signs in the cave to misdirect you…trapped you… I’m sorry.” “You did that yourself? Or you had help?” “…stunt director… he helped.” I nodded thoughtfully.

Chapter: The confessional
When we reached the private hospital, we were directed straight to where Leo was pacing outside a room I assumed Tami was in. I felt a pang in my chest as I looked at the man who had fathered me. The grim set of his jaws, his shoulders hunched as he circled the hall. He looked like he had aged several years since the Dionet party. Pierce pressed his hand to my back drawing my attention to his face. He was staring at Leo, contempt on his face. Leo’s first words to me after ‘hello, it’s your father.’ Was ‘what is your blood type?’ I could hear his relief through the phone when I said the dreaded AB-. Then he asked that I come to the hospital to help save Tami.Pierce had decided then that he had heard enough. For Leo to call for me to save Tami when only few minutes ago, she had tried to kill me. It seemed even funnier seeing as Pierce had suggested ending her life a seconds before his call came in. When I agreed to come to the hospital, my response seemed to stun not only Pierce.

Fake dating my ex’s boss

Fake dating my ex’s boss

She’s sunshine, glitter, and impulsive chaos. He’s suit-and-tie, headlines, and cold steel control. Together? Absolutely not... right? Jace Whitmore and Lily Thompson have *history*-the kind neither of them talks about, but both remember. She remembers him as the tall, egotistical jerk who kissed her stupid... then told her he wouldn’t touch her with a six-foot pole. RUDE. And infuriatingly unforgettable. He remembers her as the pint-sized menace who’s far too cute for his sanity. Her pout? Weaponized. That glitter obsession? Unbearable. Her... everything? Inexplicably addictive. And while she’s not his type (his type being supermodels with legs for days), his eyes, and maybe something else, never got that memo. He’s the reformed playboy now forced to run his family’s billion-dollar empire. She’s a glitter-wearing, bubble-blowing whirlwind of trouble who wants to get revenge on her ex. He’s the suit-clad face of responsibility. She’s the younger sister of his friend. And exactly no one thinks they should be within ten feet of each other. It started with one forbidden kiss. One very personal grudge… One impulsive decision… And the fear of things becoming real.

“There’s a perfectly good booth across from me. Shoo.”Lily swatted her hand at me after I sat down beside her“New rule, you sit beside me when we go out, not across from me, unless it’s a situation that requires it.” That way, I could act as a barrier between her and whatever horrors -aka dumb ex Taser- that haunted her. It also meant I wouldn’t have to look directly at her the whole time we were here.“Why? So horrified by my hair you can’t risk looking at it?” She taunted. So close to the truth and yet so far from it. “I didn’t say that.”“You implied it.”“Not really.” She huffed and crossed her arms, remaining that way even after the waiter had taken our orders and left.Did she plan on giving me the silent treatment the whole time we were here? What did she want from me? “I’m sorry I hit you with my car.” I apologized (even though I didn’t.) it seemed to be the root of her mood.“Whatever.”Silence. “What’s your problem?” I asked finally.“What? I didn’t do anything!” Rig

**** JACE *****“You did mom.” There was no use pretending her words weren’t true. She wasn’t the only one who expected only the worst from me. But I had run the company for a year with zero experience under my belt, except from my years in Harvard business school, she could at least have some faith in me. “I’ll let her know the family wants to meet her, and set a date. But I’m going to make something very clear. With your approval or lack of it, Lily and I are an item, if that ever changes, it will be our decision. No meddling from you or dad. Not after your failed match-making attempt.” “Jason…” I heard the hurt in her tone, perfectly blended with her guilt from all those years ago, and felt no sympathy. “I’ve got to get back to work. I’ll try not to run father’s company to the ground.”I replaced the receiver before she got another word out, feeling that familiar sadness settle over me. …you break everything you touch…On que, the pen I had been gripping snapped into two. ***** JACE *****I could get rid of him. A simple note to the right person ans “Taser” wouldn’t be able to walk into my building, but I knew what doing that would mean.It meant I cared enough about Lily to get her ex dropped, and I didn’t, so Timothy would join the interns that would be in the office on Tuesday. It was a good thing men like me didn’t meet with the interns or I would have a fun time explaining why I randomly punched one of them. My hand tightened into a fist on the table. Taser had something on Lily. Something so big that it made her disappear into a shell even when he hinted at it remotely, and a part of me itched to find out what it was.Obviously because Lily was a wildcard and I was running a million dollar empire. If there was anything about her that could ruin our plan or spoil my name, I needed to know it.For the company’s sake. Which was why I kissed her. It didn’t look good for our relationship if she was seen crying over her ex. The things i did for the

***** LILY ***** The music was louder with the door open. Just like Camille to turn the entire house into her personal dj booth with no regard for me or our neighbors. I remembered all the times I’d apologized for her behavior and began whistling. We lived in a two bedroom apartment, and she had taken the room closest to the living room. I had opted for the other so I could sleep away from the noise whenever she had friends over. Today, I noticed four girls and two dudes in the living room, the living room table and our little kitchen was littered with unfinished snacks and beers. The duty of its cleanup naturally fell to me because Camille couldn’t be bothered to do anything in the apartment, even when I asked. I had been such a kiss-ass. When the whole party noticed their presence their laughter died down. “Oh.” I said dramatically. “You’re still here?”Camille glanced at her friends before rising to meet me. “Lily, I’m surprised to see you.”I cocked my head to the side. “Why

JACEWhat was this kiss but one bad decision to top the others. It couldn’t be helped though. And as my lip brushed against her soft full lips, I decided my decision wasn’t so bad. Her lips parted, perhaps in shock of what was happening. I took advantage of the gap, and deepened the kiss till our lips fit perfectly against each other. I hated that word. Perfect. But nothing else described the feeling of Lily’s lips. The subtle cherry flavor from her gloss. Her taste…I pulled her impossibly closer to my body, part holding, part lifting as I explored her mouth.Lily whimpered, and I should’ve pulled away then, but she was kissing me back and every smart thought I could have fled my mind. Her arms wrapped around my neck, my hand moved down to her thigh for support, while the other tightened around her neck, ready to hold her steady as I trail kisses down her slim neck.“Get a room!” A man yelled, followed by giggles. Shit.Shit. I pried my lips away from hers, and placed her gently

LILYI had imagined what our first meeting after the breakup would be like. So many scenarios in between all my crying. In one he would walk in on Jace all over me, and I would flip my hair dramatically and say we didn’t see him there. Of course, that imagination branched farther and more detailed on what imaginary Jace would be doing to me when he walked in. Point is, I wasn’t supposed to be in a small cafe, my hair an absolute mess and talking about just how much my relationship with Taser had ruined me. How much of my words did he hear? If it was just the last bit, we were fine. “Mr Jace whitmore. It feels nice to run into you again so soon.” Taser turned away from me, his soon to be boss clearly more important than his ex girlfriend. He was beaming at Jace as he waited for a response. We were in public, I knew how important etiquette was for people of our status, but Jace didn’t seem to care because he stayed absolutely silent as he stared at Taser. What was supposed to be a
