Chapter 7

I felt relieved after the long explanation yesterday. Maybe I should ship Lily and Marcus as soon as possible so that she could also defend and cover me to him. My ever-loyal friend is always willing to support all of me.

And because we ditch our classes last day, I decided to enter the school one hour before our normal class schedule. In case I missed something, I could take a quick scan or comply if any. I think of resting myself first in the library to have a peaceful and refreshing start-up day.

I keep my curve lips and light aura while making my way down to my locker. I have to get my books there also. When I was a few steps closer to my target direction, I saw the last person I wanted to see in this world together with some other guys. He was wearing his usual arrogant look with a shining stud on his ear. His presence really destroys my entire mood.

Now, I am stuck between taking the few steps to get my books or turn my back in order to avoid a probable disaster. It took me a minute of self debate before finalising my decision to get my books and act as if nothing happened since I have nothing to do with him anymore. Besides, I am cleared with my friends too.

I briskly stepped my foot on my locker and did my purpose. I closed my locker's door and sighed when I heard their footsteps were going straightway. I bet my slap and Jordan's punch was enough for him to understand the term back off.

My smile suddenly faded away when I saw from my peripheral vision a familiar figure of a man leaning on the wall making his sight on the ceiling.

"Good morning," he greeted, still in his position. I rolled my eyes and started walking away.

When I reached his direction, he swiftly grabbed my arm and pinned me on the wall beside him. I was about to move my right hand to land it on his face but he quickly threatened me.

"Slap me and I'll kiss you," he said straight to my eyes. I see no joke in his ocean blue eyes and started to build a fear inside me.

Instead of using my hand to slap him, I chose to move it in the opposite direction and covered it to my mouth. He chuckled a bit because of my act.

"What's your problem?!" I snapped, keeping my lips covered.

"What? I can't understand you," he answered trying to piss me off. I rolled my eyes and pushed him as hard as I could to unlock myself on him.

"What's your problem, Mr. Hernandez? I'm trying to forget what happened. So stop messing me up!" my yell echoed in the hall but the guy in front of me is acting as if he heard nothing.

"Your lips are sweet," he commented. I felt a sudden pounding of my chest when his view shifted on my lips. I lifted my hand up preparing for a face landing.

My eyebrow scrunched when he rubbed his cheek and positioned his face well in my direction.

"One slap, one kiss," he stated with a playful smile.

I closed my eyes and released a breath, forming my open hand into a fist. This pervert is getting into my whole nerves! Where did he get the confidence to do this to me?!

"Is that ugly jerk who punched me yesterday, your boyfriend?" he asked confusedly.

I opened my eyes and shot him a glare. "The hell do you care?" I hollered, leaving him dumbfounded.

Before I could take my fourth step, I heard him calling me. "See you later, Amber!"

How dare him to threaten me! How dare him to act normal and innocent! How dare the hell out of him! I fanned myself using my hands and did the breathing exercise many times while walking with no direct place to go. I need to calm myself because any moment from now, I will see that guy again. As much as I wanted to ditch from class again, I can't because it may affect my performance this time. He can't ruin my standing in this school!

When the bell rings, I quickly heaved a deep breath and look for a possible and easier way of going to my class. I took a seat as soon as I arrived in my room without taking a single glance on my side. For all we know, he is smirking and grinning right now. I rolled my eyes and focused my view on the teacher discussing in front.

I can't count how many times I cuss in my mind. My annoyance almost reached its highest peak when I felt someone is poking on my side again. Patience Amber, patience. Breath in, breath out.

I closed my eyes and rested my chin on my palm. Forcing myself to ignore him despite having the urge of breaking down his bones and pulling off his hairs. I want to shout and slap him until his face turns as red as blood.

The way he teases me is much getting annoying. From poking, now whispering nonsense things. I pushed him hard causing him to fall from his chair. I don't know, but when his blue eyes met mine, I couldn't help but laugh at his position. His feet were hung on the chair and his hands were both on the ground supporting his body. My classmates were confused, shocked but at the same time bursting into laughter.

Too late for me to realise that our teacher is still here inside. "Ms. Ferrer," she called me, making my smile fade away.

I slowly shifted my view on her who is seriously looking at me. Oh, doomed!

"Meet me in my office now," she continued. It seems like nervousness grows in me from nowhere. This Blake is really a trouble maker.

I stood up when she started her steps. Before I turned my back, I quickly kicked Blake's chair and smirked as I heard his groan. Good for him!

When I finally arrived in front of my teacher's office, I took a quick deep breath and a face palm before opening the door.

"Sit down," she offered a seat as soon as I stepped in. I nodded and took my seat.

"Ma'am, I'm very sorry for the scene earlier," I started. She waved her hands in the air causing my forehead to crease.

"I didn't call you because of that. He deserved that either," I scrunched my brows in confusion.

She laughed a second before answering me. "I saw him bothering you," she said, I answered with a half shrug.

She fixed herself on her seat before going to the main agenda. "The reason why I called you is because of the Masquerade Party."

My eyes widened in shock. I thought that would be held next semester. I scanned her expression but she seems serious about what she said.

"Wait, I thought it would be–" before I could finish my sentence, she cut me off.

I really thought the Annual Masquerade Party was moved by next semester. I didn't even bother to call mom to ask for money for my gown as I thought the party was postponed.

"Dean has announced yesterday about the Party. You will be in-charge of the monitoring of the decorations and everything together with the volunteers."

I was not surprised about me being in-charge because that's part of my duty as the student body president. I just realised that I am nowhere to find in this school yesterday that's why I missed the information.

"When will we start the preparation?" I asked to add the details.

"Later, in the afternoon. Gymnasium," she answered, I nod as a response.

The school gymnasium is wide enough to cater to the number of students who will attend the party. This must be good for me to avoid Blake for the rest of my time. After getting the full details, I excused myself to her.
