Mariella’s POV

The moment I stepped onto the rooftop…

I froze.

The sight was breathtaking. There were roses everywhere and red petals scattered across the ground forming a path.

The entire scene was dimly illuminated by red scented candles flickering softly in the night breeze. And the star-studded night sky made the view even more beautiful.

As I basked in the warm glow of the romantic scenery, something caught my eye.

A large, elegant sign that read; Happy Anniversary.

I blinked, confused

Sophia’s POV“Yes, Dad, I just landed,” I said. My dad was such a worrywart. “You don't have to send anyone. I already booked an Uber….Yeah…. I'm not coming home right away, though. I have to do something first…. alright. Yes, I'll be safe…Love you too….Bye.”I dropped my phone back in my purse, shaking my head. I had just arrived in London, and my dad was already pestering me. I looked through the tinted window, and it was surprising how the city hadn't changed a bit since the last time I was here. I watched the bustle and hustle of the London nightlife. The streets were flooded with people. I kind of missed the vibe, to be honest. Neon lights flickered across the glass, reflecting briefly in my eyes before disappearing again.London.It had been a while. A really long one. “Ma’am, we’re here,” the driver said as the car came to a halt. I didn’t respond immediately. My gaze lingered on the skyline for a second longer… then I reached for the door handle and stepped out.The air felt

But then again…a thought hit me. Anniversary of… what?I walked further in, my heels clicking softly against the floor as I looked around in awe. This wasn’t just beautiful. It was intentional. I could almost tell how much Luciano must have thought this out.But why was he going so far to do this? I knew this was no ordinary date; we had been on plenty of those already. This was special. But

Luciano’s POVThe moment Greco pulled the trigger, time slowed. There was a flash, followed by a loud bang. And immediately, the whole room fell into chaos. Gunfire erupted across the room like a storm breaking loose. Chairs crashed in every direction, and the sound of shattering glass blended with the sound of rapid gunfire. I looked around at the chaos unfolding. At the men shouting over one another, yelling either orders, curses, or screams.I tried to reach behind me for my gun and felt a sharp burning pain in my side. I winced a little, my body jerking slightly. The pain seemed to spread like wildfire through my ribs, and it was hot and suffocating. I glanced down briefly and saw it, blood already seeping through my suit. “Shit,” I muttered, placing my hand gently on it to feel. The pain got even sharper, and I let out a groan.“Boss!” Dante’s voice roared over the gunfire, probably after hearing me groan. He shot one of the men rushing toward me, then grabbed my arm, pulling m

Mariella's POVAs I put on my earrings and took a look at myself in the dressing mirror, I couldn't help but smile. I had no idea what Luciano had planned tonight, but I was super excited. I touched up my lipstick a little and heard a knock on my door. “Ma'am, are you ready?” A voice asked. “Coming,” I said, hurriedly picking up my purse and heading out. The cars were ready by the time I came out. And we drove off immediately. My mind wandered, trying to guess what Luciano had in mind. A fancy dinner? Movies? I didn't know. But I sure couldn't wait to find out. A couple of minutes later, at about 6:30 pm, we arrived at the airport. Of course, I don't need to explain how surprised I was at this. “The airport?” I asked as the cars came to a halt. “What are we doing here?”“It's part of our orders, ma'am,” the driver responded when suddenly one of the men from the other cars opened my door for me. I shrugged. It's not like Luciano was your regular guy. So maybe I was wrong to expec

Luciano’s POV:I put on my suit, standing in front of the dressing mirror, when Mariella walked in. I looked at her from the mirror, and she didn't look too happy. “Are you okay?” I asked, knotting my tie. She didn't answer immediately but walked over to the bed and sat down. I turned to look at her. “Mariella?”“How can I be okay with everything that's happening?” she sighed. “Of course, I'm worried.”I gently walked over to the bed and sat beside her, gently moving her hair behind her ears and pressing my lips against hers. “You don't have to worry when I'm here,” I said. “You know I would never let anything bad happen to you.”“I know that,” she said. “But I'm not worried about me. I'm worried about you.”“Me?” I smirked, finding it cute and a bit amusing. She was always beautiful. But she was especially cute when she was worried. “Yes. And it's not funny,” she said. “I don't know what Marcello’s planning or how things will go. But I don't want anything bad to happen to you.”“A

Greco's POV: Flashing colors. Naked dancing girls. And lots and lots and lots of alcohol. This was my typical night. Out in the streets of the city, clubbing. I loved the nightlife – the city lights, the hot chicks, and just the fun of it. I certainly loved it a lot more than I loved being a part of the Mafia now. Things certainly had changed since Luciano De Luca took over as Don. And not necessarily for the better. He was oppressive. And I almost had the feeling that he was trying to get back at us for the time when we were in pursuit of him. But it made no sense. Impersonality was one of the core principles of the Mafia. Everything was done with no hard feelings attached. “You know…I h..hate that Luciano…” I spoke to one of the many girls seated around me in the VIP section of the nightclub. I could barely see anything because of how drunk I was. “Awwwn. Is he being a meanie again?” One of the nude girls with bunny ears on her head asked, poking me on the cheek. “You bet…” I
