Alexander’s POV

Morning came softly, filtered through sheer curtains and the steady rhythm of the ocean beyond the glass. I woke before Jasmine, as I often did, my arm draped possessively over her waist, her back pressed to my chest like she belonged there which she did.

Every slow breath she took grounded me, reminded me that this wasn’t a dream I’d wake up from.

She shifted, murmuring something incoherent, her fingers curling around my wrist as if even in sleep she knew where I was. That simple gesture did something dangerous to my control.

I brushed my lips along her shoulder, slow, unhurried, not trying to wake her yet. Her skin was warm, soft, familiar in a way that still felt unreal. Wife. The word settled deep in my chest, heavy and satisfying.

“Alexander…” she whispered, half-asleep.

I smiled against her skin. “Morning,” I murmured.

Her eyes fluttered open, unfocused at first, then sharpening as she realized where she was who she was with. A lazy smile curved her lips.

  • A BILLIONAIRE’S EXCEPTION    Chapter 62

Alexander’s POV The days that followed passed in a gentle blur, the kind of time that felt both endless and fleeting. Mornings were soft and lazy, the sunlight spilling across the penthouse floor as she moved with effortless grace. We lingered over coffee, over small touches, over laughter that started before the first sip of caffeine had even touched our lips. Even in the quietest moments, I was painfully aware of her presence. Every glance, every movement, every subtle shift of her weight reminded me that she was mine. Always. But life, relentless and unyielding, didn’t allow us to stay in that bubble forever. The office called, as it always did. Meetings, schedules, deadlines they demanded our attention, and there was no way around it. Our first day back was surreal. Walking through the lobby side by side, hand in hand, I felt the weight of the real world pressing in. Yet even there, with the city bustling around us and staff hurrying past, she walked beside me as if we belong

  • A BILLIONAIRE’S EXCEPTION    Chapter 59

Alexander’s POV The ocean stretched endlessly before us, a mirror of the sky above, sunlight scattering across the waves like diamonds. I watched Jasmine as she leaned against the balcony railing of our honeymoon suite, her hair catching the sun, the wind teasing at the strands that fell across her face. Even after months together, even after the wedding, even after every touch, every kiss, every moment, she still stole my breath. I stepped closer, hand brushing along her waist, pulling her back against me, feeling the warmth of her skin and the curve of her body. She shivered, and I knew it wasn’t just the ocean breeze. “You’re quiet again,” she murmured, tilting her head, eyes half-lidded with curiosity. I leaned down, pressing a kiss to her temple, letting my lips linger. “I’m thinking,” I said, voice low and steady, “about how impossible it is to believe you’re mine. How lucky I am that you said yes.” She laughed softly, breathless, pressing herself closer into me. “You’ve sa

  • A BILLIONAIRE’S EXCEPTION    Chapter 58

Jasmine’s POV The city skyline glittered below the penthouse terrace, lights reflecting in the river like a thousand tiny stars. I leaned against the railing, glass of champagne in hand, feeling the cool night air brush over my skin. Alexander was beside me, quiet for once, and that in itself made me curious. “You’ve been awfully quiet tonight,” I teased, nudging him with my shoulder. He turned to me, that familiar half-smile tugging at his lips, eyes dark with something I couldn’t quite read. “I’m just… thinking,” he said, his voice low. I raised an eyebrow. “About what?” “About us,” he replied simply. His hand brushed mine, warm and steady. My pulse quickened, and I felt a flutter in my stomach. Something was different tonight. He took a deep breath, then bent to his knee so suddenly I nearly dropped my champagne. “Alexander—” “Jasmine,” he said, voice steady, fierce with certainty, “I’ve loved you from the moment you walked into my life. Every day since has been better beca

  • A BILLIONAIRE’S EXCEPTION    Chapter 57

Jasmine’s POV Days turned into weeks, weeks into months, and somehow, the world outside the penthouse ceased to matter as much. Life with Alexander had settled into a rhythm that was both intoxicating and effortless despite the occasional sparks of disagreement that flared between us. Mornings were our favorite. I’d wake to sunlight spilling through the floor-to-ceiling windows, brushing against Alexander’s shoulders as he slept, chest rising and falling steadily. He always woke before I did, but he never moved just let me watch him, the softest part of him revealed only to me. “I can’t believe you’re awake,” he would murmur when I finally stirred. “I’ve been watching you,” I’d reply, teasing, pressing a kiss to his shoulder. “Careful, or you’ll start charging for the view.” He’d groan, hand threading through my hair, tugging me closer. “You’re impossible.” “Maybe,” I’d say with a grin, “but you love it.” And he did. He loved it, and I knew it, and somehow that made our ordin

  • A BILLIONAIRE’S EXCEPTION    Chapter 56

Jasmine’s POV The penthouse was quiet again, but it wasn’t the same calm as before. The city outside continued its endless rhythm, lights flickering against the windows, but inside, everything felt slowed, suspended. Alexander and I lay tangled on the couch, skin still warm, breaths uneven, hearts still racing from the intensity we had just shared. I traced lazy circles along his chest, feeling the solid muscle beneath my fingers. Every so often, his hand would find mine, squeezing gently, grounding me, reminding me I was here with him and nowhere else. “I can’t believe how easy it is with you,” I murmured, voice husky from exertion, from the intimacy we had shared, from the way his presence had become a part of me I didn’t even notice until it was gone. He chuckled softly, brushing a damp strand of hair from my forehead. “Easy? You make it sound like torture,” he teased, though there was warmth in his tone. His thumb traced a lazy path across my knuckles. “Torture,” I said, smi
