Awkward. That was the exact word to describe the happenings in Joshua's house. After hearing from Raymond about what Julia had said to him, he had tried his best never to cross paths with her within the house. They were hardly in each other's company and Joshua had relocated into the spare room. Now that was the sudden definition of awkward

Timothy stealthily walked into his boss' office after being summoned. His mind was still on suspicious Helen whom he had found pacing to and fro in the living room as soon as he walked in. She looked very troubled and concluded it must have been the police issue, making him want to know why she was hiding what had happened and what truly had happened that night. Surely she had not killed all those men and saved herself, there was someone else but who? After letting a grumpy Julia rest her arm on his, the "happy couple" walked into the club getting swallowed in the lingering darkness which was rather strange. Few moments ago the club was well lit and full life yet..."Surprise!!!" the sound of that scared the both of them as the room lit up. It was well decorated looking nothing like a club and a limited number of formally dressed men and women scattered all around. The duo was quick to scan the place both of them equally shocked, wasn't it supposed to be a brand launch of some sort? Or were they lost? A light applause slapped them back to reality as a short grumpy man of fair complexion surfaced from the crowd, he was of age probably in his fifties and on his face was a half smile filled with both fear and happiness. Joshua found himself drawing her closer and finding comfort in what he knew was wrong. It was as if nobody else was there, just two of them and their intense stares had him seeing his lost lover in Julia and that was not the first time it had happened. The day he had accompanied her shopping was another incident still fresh in his head, he had caught her when she was about to fall, and strangely it had reminded him of her, of Melissa. Just as he roamed his hands around her back as they kissed, she was immediately snatched away and before he knew it, a hard blow landed on his left cheek his lip cracking open. The journey back home was spent in awkward silence. Julia sat all quiet right next to Joshua, her hands holding on tight to her walking stick and if it had a voice it would have screeched out in pain. The gate automatically opened as soon as they approached and Joshua was the first to get out of car. As he approached Julia's door he felt rather nervous. He had kissed women as a once off and walked off with no feelings attached, but the nerves this time were getting the better of him, especially having briefly mistaken her for Melissa at the club. He knew she died, but who was this woman making him see his lost love in her? After a moment of silence, Joshua uncomfortably cleared his throat and turned to meet Julia's hopeful gaze. He wondered if she had by chance went through his private things but no, she was blind there was no way, so how did she know his name? Even Raymond didn't know it nobody did. Choosing to ignore how she had called him he opened his mouth to protest but she took a step closer, her eyes boring into his and that was it, his suspicions were confirmed. Silence hung around the room as the trio gawked at surprised Joshua. He stared at equally shocked Julia then back at the two siblings. Helen looked on eyes glowing hope then it dawned on him why Helen had been threatening to spill the beans to the police. What followed next was rather unexpected, a thunderous laughter erupted from his throat and tears streamed out shocking the three. Upon being summoned by the man himself the following morning, Helen found herself staring back at the mirror rehearsing exactly what she was going to say to her father. Telling the truth was not an option and although she had grown to hate Timothy, she didn't hate him enough to send him to an early grave or rather that thought had not crossed her mind just yet.
