Adrian's POV

As we walk toward the field where the party is, we hear Nikolai grumbling about not wanting to be there. His father chuckles as he throws an arm over his shoulder.

“You know, you could find your mate here, then you'll regret all this complaining!”

“I'm not going to find my mate. I'm almost 22. I don't have one.” Nikolai said, trying to sound like he didn't care, but I know he does. Everyone knows how much finding a mate meant to Nikolai.

“You never know,” The Alpha said as he patted his son's shoulder.

As we walk to the side of the house, the yard opens up to a large field of fresh snow. The stage where the ceremony will take place is centered at the back of the field. A large food tent is set up along the back left, and a large fire pit sits in the center of the field with flames reaching taller than I am.

Light blue lights hang along the tent and the trees that border the field. With the lights and fresh blanket of snow, it looks quite enchanting.
