It had been a full year since Lucille started working at Norrcom Allied Solution.

Twelve months of pushing through, no matter what.

In that time, she faced a lot of discrimination just because of her wolf rank. Being the only omega werewolf in such a big company wasn’t easy.

But Lucille didn’t give up. She stayed focused, worked hard, and stayed professional. Even though she was an omega, her efforts made it tough for the company to let her go.

Maybe the moon goddess was watching over her, because little by little, things began to change. People started to notice her.

She didn’t make any close friends, but she had nice and respectful coworkers.

Her heels clicked softly on the floor as she walked toward the director’s office. Mr. Kay was known to be a very serious man who rarely praised anyone’s work.

Lucille’s heart pounded faster with every step. Why had he called for her? What had she done wrong?

She took a deep breath and gently knocked on the door.

Lucille blinked slowly, her eyelids heavy as though weighed down by bricks. A faint beeping sound echoed in her ears. Her nose picked up a strange mix of disinfectants and sterile air. The ceiling above her was white and unfamiliar. She tried to move, but her body felt sore all over. Pain pulsed in her head, and her arms felt like they’d been crushed. She was in a hospital.Memories rushed back like a flood. The park. The little boy. The slope. The bicycle. The rock. Her breathing quickened."Hey. Easy now. You’re okay," a deep voice said gently.Lucille turned her head slowly. A man sat by her hospital bed, arms crossed and legs stretched out like he owned the place. He was tall, broad-shouldered, with thick black hair and strong features. His eyes were the deepest gray she’d ever seen. His aura hit her instantly. Strong. Calm. Commanding. An Alpha. Her wolf whimpered softly inside her, both nervous and curious."Good, you're awake," he said, a playful smile tugging at the corner o

It was the weekend. A work-free day for Lucille.Normally, she would have traveled to see her family, but work had piled up so much that she decided to stay back in the city.Still, she needed a breath of fresh air. She stepped out of her apartment and headed to the City Park for some sightseeing and peace of mind. But this park wasn’t for someone like her. The East Park was where she truly belonged. The moment she stepped through the gates, a cold shiver ran down her spine. The powerful auras of the werewolves inside hit her like a wave. Each one of them radiated strength and dominance, and it made her wolf shrink back deep inside her.She paused at the entrance, glancing around nervously.Should I leave? But she shook the thought away and forced herself to take a step forward.Just for a little while, she told herself.Look around, breathe in some fresh air, then leave. She sat at the far edge of the park, near a quiet bench under a big tree. She had no intention of mingling with an

Lucille had just finished attending a short seminar on business communication. The event was held at the city convention center, and since it ended early, she decided to take a walk outside and buy herself a cup of coffee from the café across the street. She stood in line, scrolling through her phone, when someone bumped into her gently from behind."Oh, I’m so sorry," she said quickly, turning around."No worries," the man replied with a polite smile. "I should’ve been paying attention."Lucille gave a small laugh. "It’s alright. These lines can get tight."They both moved forward and ended up standing next to each other as they waited."You were at the seminar too?" he asked, glancing at the tag still hanging from her neck."Yes, I work with Norrcom Allied Solution. We were invited," she said casually. The man raised an eyebrow. "Norrcom? I’ve heard of that company."Lucille’s eyes lit up a little. She loved any opportunity to market her company. "Really? Lucille didn’t give up.Every day, she applied to more jobs. Some companies didn’t reply. Others sent rejection emails that all sounded the same:“We regret to inform you…”She had read those words so many times, they no longer hurt. But today felt different. She had walked a long way to reach the office of Norrcom Allied Solutions, a company that specialized in business partnerships. She had seen the job ad online. Partner Relations Officer, and knew she was perfect for it.But when she arrived and gave her name at the gate, the same thing happened again.“What pack are you from?” the receptionist asked at the security booth.Lucille took a shaky breath. “Downtown Pack.”The woman barely looked at her. “I’m sorry. Only elite pack members may enter. Company policy.”Lucille stepped aside. She didn’t argue. She was too tired. She walked to a bench nearby and sat down. The building stood tall in front of her, made of blue glass and steel. It looked clean, modern, and powerful. Everythin

Lucille sat by the window, staring out at the cloudy sky as the evening breeze gently moved the curtain. On her lap was an old laptop, its screen flickering slightly, but still good enough for what she needed. It had been almost two weeks since she walked away from the estate. Her life was finally hers, and though she didn’t have much, she had peace. That should’ve been enough. But every day, a small voice whispered inside her, You’re meant for more. She clicked open the browser and typed in a job search website.
