“What? I knew it. You’re the one who has fallen for me.” I grinned, wrapping my arms around his neck.

He blinked in confusion and then rolled his eyes at the slip of tongue. “Yes. I’ve fallen for you. It’s almost like a painful addiction I can’t control. So, now you can understand what’s on my mind 24/7.”

My mouth hung open at his honest admission. I hadn’t expected him to be so vocal about it. I was addicted to him, too, but I couldn’t confess the way he had.

“Oh! That’s bad!” I sympathized with him, although my heart wanted to dance with excitement.

He rolled his eyes, noticing the mirth bubbling in my heart. “Yeah! So you’re the only one who can heal me. I need you so badly.” He dumped me on the bed and jumped in like a wild caveman.

“Drake, it’ll break!” I shrieked at him.

He covered my mouth with his hand. “Stop screaming dammit! Do you want people to barge in?”
