I sat down next to Alex and the smell of his cologne filled my nose. It was a strong scent but I really liked it though. The black-and-white cartoon playing on the projector was aesthetically pleasing. It reminded me of the past.

Not just any past, or mine. But like the 1960s. Weird because I was not even alive at that time but that was the vibe I got from looking at Mickey Mouse doing funny dances while in black-and-white color.

“You said you wanted to talk?” Alex smiled weakly as intrigue smeared his facial features. He was wearing a hoodie that looked great on him. If we were not about to talk about serious matters, I would have asked him where he got it.

“Yeah, but you go first. What do you want to talk about?” I adjusted myself in my seat and made myself comfortable enough. My attention was trained on him as I awaited him to speak.
