Amelia shot up to a crouching position so quickly it felt like she hadn't been asleep all this time. She came over to Rhiannon's side, right where next to Larkin sat, "What happened? Are you in pain again?"

"No. I mean yes, but not like before. It's Elijah," Rhiannon groaned.

"What do you mean?"

"I can feel him through the mate bond. He's trying to reach out to me. I think...there's something wrong with him. I think he needs my help," The throb grew again, and Rhiannon winced harder.

Larkin turned around to look at Sam, who had just arrived from the patrol after catching Rhiannon's wince with his perceptive wolf ears the first time. The warriors exchanged tense looks then Larkin turned back to Rhiannon, "But Elijah told us to get as far away from that place as possible. I don't think we should...,"

A voice broke through Rhiannon's head, a strangled, torn deep voice that sounded familiar and unrecognisable at the same time, "W...where are you?"

It was coming from the mate bond. Elij

The air rang with howls, growls, and the clash of magic with water whipping through the air in serpentine coils, stone pillars erupting from the ground with every command. The four of them had just appeared in the middle of the Pack town, standing at the heart of the battle. Immediately, Larkin and Sam fell into formation and began fighting off the water Werewolves. From afar, Kaden caught a glance of them and his eyes widened, wondering what they were doing back here with Rhiannon. They should have been long gone by now. Rhiannon's heart tugged violently as she stayed under the covers of the magical cloak. It was somewhat transparent so she could see everything happening around her. The Pack town had been destroyed a lot, with the metallic stench of blood and pain so thick in the air that it made her want to almost puke. Rhiannon reached into the tug of the mate bond, trying to feel and pinpoint his location. He was keeping her out once again, but she could still feel it in her

Rhiannon coughed up water as she was pulled out of the water by Larkin. Everyone was drenched from head to toe as they fell on stones and sand, trying to catch their breath from the fall. Amelia lay next to Rhiannon, her eyes fixed on the top of the cliff where Eleanor must still be. Now they they've been bathed by the Lake's magic and water properly, she wouldn't be able to sense or find them no matter what she did. Even if she decided to jump into the water. "Are you alright?" Amelia inquired, still panting a bit. "Yeah," Rhiannon replied. "That was a very close call," Larkin commented from behind, already on her feet, "Now we are safe. They can't find us here. No one can,"Amelia glanced back at her, "So we just stay here till the battle over there is over?"Sam spoke this time, "The Beta will reach out to me once it's safe enough to return. For now, we stay here at the bank of the lake till I receive that message, no matter how long it takes. That was the order I received,""

"I know you're here," Eleanor's voice came, low and calm, slicing through the thick fog, "You reek of desperation and betrayal, Rhia. How could you do this to us? To your own Pack?"Rhiannon flinched and the two warriors exchanged a silent glance. Rhiannon badly wanted to trust the lake's magic, that it was enough to deter Eleanor so she wouldn't find them. But Eleanor isn't just your regular wolf, and so Rhiannon gripped Amelia even tighter, her hands hanging loosely around her waist. Eleanor kept coming closer, her path set straight to the target. The Lake's magic didn't seem to be doing much, just as Rhiannon had predicted. Oh no. "She shouldn't be able to-" Larkin started, barely a whisper. "She's Killian's daughter," Rhiannon replied to the obvious question in their minds. "She has Alpha Blood and Alpha training." As Rhiannon said so, her pulse screamed in her ears. Horror filled everyone's eyes as they realised the severity of the situation. If they took one step right now

Killian stood by the entrance of the greenhouse, magic pulsing through his veins. He knew the book was in there somewhere, seeing how it had been guarded by many Earth warriors. His paw had just stepped in when something seeped between his legs, and he watched as the form of dust gathered together, reforming into a wolf that stood in his path. The wolf was small, with the same earth granite lining her paws and green patterns on her fur. But, it was smaller than the wolves he saw around and even though it seemed to have a greater fighting spirit than all the wolves he had encountered on his way here, it gave off this eerie vibe. This... repulsive energy. Alpha Killian growled. It was an Omega! Naina easily recognised Killian. She had once wandered into his Pack, seeking shelter. But he had cast her out, almost losing her life to him. Elijah had found her lying outside the border, heavily wounded and barely breathing and had brought her into the Timberfangs' land where she had recov

The once peaceful town square had transformed into a battleground. The scenery had been turned upside down as everywhere was thrown into chaos. Fractured claw marks tore against walls, and wolves growled and lunged at each other with snarls that echoed throughout the entire town. The True North Pack surged forward like a tide using the magic of their signature. Their fur shimmered silvery, and they had blue eyes like the depths of the ocean. When they snarled, their breath came out like a cold, suffocating mist. They moved like waves, flowing around them effortlessly, easily reforming and going for another attack. One of the lead warriors called forth a flash flood with his dense magic, and water exploded through the street, slashing into the Timberfangs like sharp knives and trying to cut through their defence. Another wolf lunged at the enemy, summoning a swirling mist and binding their foes while another stepped in to finish off the disoriented enemy, tearing into their throat
