Brother's Love

TIHANA'S POV

I didn't know what he was here to do. He looked like he could pick on me and transfer all aggression on me again.

“Tihana right? Follow me.” He ordered, and I stood up in fear, following him to a more secluded part of the beach.

“I…is there anything wrong or I…is there anything you need?” I asked, fidgeting but trying so hard to hide it.

“You must think I am the bad man here or something, but I would like to apologize for leaving a bad impression on you the other day.” He apologized, with a slight smile on his face.

I was dumbfounded and didn't know what to say, if anyone were to apologize to me, I never expected it to be Young Master Adam.

“Oh… It's….it's… You don't have to bother. I understand that you were in a bad mood.” I replied, trying to cover up the fact that I was overwhelmed.

“Nah. That's not how it is in our family. We do not step on others because they are less privileged.”

All along, I had misunderstood the ways of their family. I always felt that wealthy people would never apologize to people below them. I should have guessed when I was invited to be part of the discussion and when I was taken with them to the beach.

We had a nice time at the beach and went home. When we got home, everyone was tired.

The next day, the brothers escorted their dad to the airport, and I was in the house, cleaning up and putting everything in order. After an hour, I could hear their voices as they were approaching the door, then I made to leave for my room, but they stopped me.

“Have a seat.” Adam instructed, exhaling as he sat on the couch.

I turned back to them and sat down in their midst.

“Alright, the thing is, we want to set some rules. From now on, you do not need to call us Young Master, secondly, you are free to eat in the dining. Any other rule will be further communicated to you, is that clear?” Theo stated, looking straight into my eyes.

“Yes, I understand.” I replied, wondering what could have caused this change.

Then I went out to buy fruits for the house at the store. I heard Chris call out to me.

“Tihana! Wait up.” He called out as he made his way down to where I was.

“I just want to have some fresh air. Mind if I go with you?” He asked politely, staring at me with his beady eyes.

“Of course.”

We got to the supermarket and bought different fruits, and then he bought iced cream for I and him.

“Instead of heading home immediately, why don't we go to the river bank? There is a river bank that's not far from here.” He said, with his hands in his pockets.

Butterflies flew around in my tummy because lovers were walking around and here I was, walking with a handsome guy. I agreed and when we got to the river bank, we sat and Chris was throwing a stone into the river at intervals.

“So, what were you doing before you came here?” He asked as he paid attention to me, with his hands fiddling with the stones.

“Uhm… Nothing precisely. Just lived with an old woman who died a few weeks ago.” I replied, feeling a bit uncomfortable, talking about my past.

“Oh, sorry to hear that.” He said, with a solemn look.

Then he leaned on to me and cleaned my lip corner with his finger. I could notice his hit neck and attractive lips, then his beautiful eyes. I found it hard to gulp my saliva down as my heart began to bear faster than I could control.

“You got iced cream on your lips corner.”

“Oh, t…thank you.” I said as I stuttered, looking away.

“You can always talk to me when you need something or if something is bothering you.” He said, ruffling my hair.

My wish was beginning to come true, and I was glad. I was overwhelmed by the emotions I was feeling and wished for a hug from me. Chris continued to throw stones into the river.

We had gotten home, then I arranged the fruits in the fridge and was about going to my room, Nash called me. I was feeling tired already, but I couldn't ignore him, so I went to meet him.

“I want to get a night shoot and our garden has the perfect for illumination. I'll like you to help me take pictures with this camera.” He said, handing the camera to me with a smile.

I couldn't even resist his cute smile, even if I had a choice. I followed him to the garden and I held the camera and took shots of him. All his poses were top-notch and hot, I wondered how beautiful their mother must have been to give birth to these handsome guys.

When we were done, I gave him the camera, and he scrolled through the camera and was pleased with my shots.

“Come over here, let me take a picture of you.” He urged and sat me down on a chair.

I was shy and didn't know how to pose, not even in the presence of a handsome guy, then in a split second, Adam, Theo, and Chris joined me, and I was in the middle. Nash took the picture and smiled.

“I want to take a picture with you guys too.”

He brought out his selfie stick, and we all took a selfie. No one could fathom how deep my joy was right now, it was tagged as the first best day ever in my life.

After all the laughter, I finally was let go to go back to my room when I tripped and twisted my ankle.

“Ouch!” I winced in pain.

Without waiting for me to heal, Adam carried me to my room and placed me on the bed, then whispered to me.

“This is just the beginning.”

I wondered what he meant and could not get my frightened eyes off him.
