"Wanna break into the museum for the fun of it?"
"Sure."
Jean Luc stared between them. Utter lunatics.
"Alright, Jean Luc. You're coming with us."
This friend of Lucinda seemed to be pretty nice. Jean Luc could remember Lucinda claiming it would be better for her friends to be left without incident about her near-death incident, but this Celie seemed to be an exception.
For her to visit Lucinda with a jacket in fear of her best friend getting sick in the rain showed Jean Luc that Celie was a great friend. Though, he was curious how she knew Lucinda would be laying in the road at the exact moment. She must do it often.
He was suddenly reminded of the invitation that was thrust into his hand. He could barely believe that Lucinda was a real person. Beautiful, but too wild for her own good.
"Will we get caught?"
Celie snickered. "You've been living with a genius. It's pretty insulting to think she'll get us caught."
Jean Luc glanced at Lucinda. Beautiful, wild and a bad influence. He found himself nodding at the foolish suggestion. He would never agree to such things, but he found himself curious to find out more of her antics.

Darrow, the third member of the crew of murderers with Raven behind Blake and Celie, pulled up before the cottage.
Raven knew breaking into a museum was mild and a tiny bit too boring, but she could not suggest something more dangerous with Jean Luc. If he was hesitant to enter a mere museum, he definitely would not agree to rob a house.
"You're like no one I've met before," Jean Luc told her. "No normal person would do what you do."
"That's your way of calling me strange?" Raven retorted.
"No, Lucinda. It's crazy, and I can't get used to the fact that someone like you exists. So carefree and fun."
A smile graced Raven's lips. The little flutter in her chest made a smarter part of her worry, but she pushed it away.
Then, as if he could not say anything else to top his earlier precious phrases, he added quietly, "You're a goddess."
She was called many things in her lifetime. Evil, cruel, a devil, and the nastiest remark that could escape a mouth. However, she was never called a goddess. Never.
With the way her heart pounded, the murderer knew she was fucked.

"Welcome to Dheeksha! I grew up here, in the tunnels."
"In here?" Jean Luc did not seem like he believed it.
He followed Raven as they walked beyond the darkness. They had their only source of light thanks to Celie.
"What's that?" Jean Luc asked after a few minutes of silence. He pointed to a black box, unattended at the side of a running sewer. The smell is horrible.
"A bomb," Celie replied as if it was nothing at all.
"Bomb?" he choked out as they strode past it.
"Domsville has many explosives under many of their buildings. They have their reasons, I think, but it's not wise, and the leaders might very well pay for it one day," Celie explained.
"How do you guys know this?"
Raven had been too careless and obvious, but she knew it was easier for Jean Luc to see her as who she was--an untamed girl with a difficult past who was fighting for herself. It was simpler. If she were to be someone she was not, he would see through her in an instant.
"We grew up together in the Dheeksha as orphans. We were taught how to survive by a man who passed away when we reached age ten. We were alone in the world for years. We were children, yet we managed to grow up," Raven said. Celie did not seem to mind that the information was given.
"Damn. I know Domsville is an underdeveloped, heartless place, and that kids are going through it even today, but the fact that you've been through that is unbelievable," Jean Luc said. "I hate this place. When I have enough cash to move out, afford a house and necessities, I'll do it instantly."
"Why do you think it's so unbelievable?" Celie asked.
"Lucinda's closet is filled with branded clothes."
Raven laughed, "We fought to the very top. The poorest can become rich."
Though, it took an absurd amount of effort. It took her shredding any good and guilt from her heart. She had to pick up stealing, fighting and killing to get to where she was today. It was either that or starve to death.
After a few familiar turns, the small group reached a rusty ladder.
"This reaches a forgotten emergency door into the museum," Raven stated before they ascended into the building where the most precious treasures of Domsville lay.
She glanced at Jean Luc as she reached the top, glimpsing the baffled expression plastered on his face. 'We're really doing this,' his face screamed.
"We're in!" Raven announced. "Now, there are a few rooms where we are to avoid. But, we can freely go into the nearest room to our right. This place is fun to trespass because of that room. No cameras and free snacks."
Blake made an absolute mess with the wrapper of the free candy when they first sneaked into the place. All while they discussed murder with the screen of Domsville's history playing in the background.
"I'm heading left. Enjoy yourselves," Celie said. Raven flashed her a thankful smile. Her best friend was not here to enjoy her time. Instead, she was willing to help scout the area for someone who might turn into the room. Celie mouthed, 'you owe me' before leaving.
Grinning, Raven reached for Jean Luc's hand and led him into the little movie room.
"This is insane," Jean Luc admitted as Lucinda led him into a room he knew he should have paid to enter. She did not let go of the hand firmly wrapped around his even as she came to a stop. The screen was playing. It was about a riot that happened a decade back in Domsville."How much do you know about Domsville's history?" she questioned."I didn't quite listen in history class, honestly."Laughing, Lucinda reached to grab candy from a glass bowl. She had suggested everyone wear gloves to further avoid getting caught. Jean Luc would rather hold her bare hand, though."It's mint," she said, holding one out for him.He took it while
She never agreed to be in the position she was in. Her mind and heart chose differently, and she had to pay the price.Raven could do nothing when under his spell. It was pretty ironic, really. She was the town's most wanted criminal and had probably killed more than anyone could imagine. She lived in a world where guilt did not exist, where she was supposed to live up to the rumour saying, 'the demon, RD, don't have any human feelings.'Instead, her heart was pounding in a way that contradicts all of the rumours, much to her annoyance. She was starting to like the man she was supposed to manipulate. It sounded as stupid as it was.Raven wanted to roll her eyes when her heart started speeding again as Jean Luc smiled at her before leaving to his room.
When Jean Luc awoke the next day, Lucinda was no longer snuggled against him. She was always up so early, despite how late they went to bed.As expected, Lucinda was enjoying breakfast on the couch with her legs propped atop the table between her and the television."Dumbass," she sneered at the movie she was watching. Or more specifically, the character who just got murdered."Morning, love.""That's new," Lucinda turned to face him. "Love.I like that. Way more than cute, adorable, sweet and all the other bullshit." She grinned and Jean Luc smiled back."How long have you been up?""Enough time to cook you breakfast.
Since Lucinda started going to work, she never stopped. It had been a few weeks since Jean Luc saw her enter their home with little patches of blood covering her pants and an unexplainable void in her eyes. When she saw him, though, a genuinely happy smile covered her face. Jean Luc thought nothing of the blood because as she entered the cottage, her first words were, "I need a tampon."Sitting so close to her, his heart sped. That has been going on, as well."They form a picture," Lucinda said, pointing to the stars above. She had somehow convinced him to climb onto the roof and lay there."I see nothing," Jean Luc muttered. There were just stars.
"What are you doing here?" The man asked Lucinda.Jean Luc remembered him. He was the newspaperman that came once a week. What would he be doing in Dheeksha, of all places?"Out," Lucinda's voice changed as quickly as a switch. Her face was still painted with dried tears, but the word that came out of her mouth revealed nothing less than strong. Authoritative. Jean Luc had heard that voice just a few times and he was properly baffled. The man ignored his presence and talked to Lucinda as if they were alone in the room."Red, are you okay?" His voice held genuine concern. They appeared to know each other most of their lives."Out, Zak," she said it so coldly that Jean Luc felt a shive
When Jean Luc awoke the next morning, Lucinda was no longer in his arms. He grumbled, but memory resurfaced and he smiled instead.Last night must have been a dream. But then again, time with her always felt that way.He expected to see her behind the kitchen counter or hear her voice when she snickered at the television. He had anticipated her acknowledging his presence before he could step out of their room like she normally did.He was greeted with silence. It was terribly unlike her. For a moment, he thought she would pop out of nowhere to scare the living shit out of him.It never happened. With furrowed brows, Jean Luc wandered into the kitchen and a weary part of him decided to open the refrigerator in search of Lucinda. She was nowhere. He glanced at the table where two cups of coffee should have been but instead, he found a note. She had never written to him before, and he had never seen her handwriting. It was neat, pretty a
"So? What are we going to do with him?" Blake questioned."Asshole," Raven sneered at him. "He's not garbage."Behind her, Darrow stifled a laugh."Knowing Red, she'll probably kiss him goodbye and blow this town into shreds," Zak said. Dominic entertained him by laughing at his terribly unfunny comment.Raven was pretty bitter at the moment and her family was not helping."So how was it?" Celie questioned. She had been asking it again and again, but Raven had yet to answer her."Shitty," came her reply."Is love as bad as father claimed it was?""No," Raven snapped. "But he was right about one thing--it's painful. I think that's pretty obvious, isn't it?" She gestured to Jean Luc, asleep in front of them on a chair in the basement of the cottage."Okay, but how was the sex?"Raven rolled her eyes and ignored Celie. Raven hated this. Hiding who she was from Jean Luc while falling in love with him was probably the
There was a void in his chest.Jean Luc knew he was running from reality. There was absolutely no way. Lucinda could not be the sinful, vile, wicked, brutal RD.Although he dreaded to accept the truth, he must admit that it made so much sense. Her scars, her mysteries, her stories, her personality. It answered so many of his questions. He fell in love with a murderer.Themurderer. He was so deep into it that he became blind. He had been holding the hand of a demon. He had been tasting her skin. Making love to her. And for God's sake, he had enjoyed it. Tremendously.Jean Luc had once heard stories of RD impaling someone with the leg of a chair. One of them even claimed that the demon fried their skin and stuck them on the wall for decoration. Was Lucinda really capable of that?"Your name is Raven?" he asked. That made sense too. She made him say the name just a night before for a reason he was too tired to ask."I don't
