Grace's pov

I blinked. Once. Twice.

“You— how long have you been standing there?” I asked, my voice a little too high.

“Long enough,” Silvano replied, folding his arms as he leaned towards me, still wearing that maddening smirk.

My cheeks burned. Of course, he heard us talking about him and his….arggghh. I don't want to think about it. Why did Harper bring it up?

“You weren’t supposed to hear that,” I muttered, crossing my arms too, mostly to feel like I had some kind of defense.

“Well, now that I did, you can either explain to me or leave me to my own assumptions.” He said, lifting his brows slightly.

I groaned inwardly.

“Harper was just being nosy, that's all.”

“So you don’t know about my s*x life?” he asked, stepping a little closer.

I opened my mouth, but nothing came out.

He took another step. “Should I fill you in?”

“What? No,” I said quickly, horrified to know anything about it.

“You look nervous,” he said, his voice dipping and playful “Why?

“I am not nervous,” I said too qui

  • A Nurse for the Mafia Don    Chapter 50

Silvano's pov I didn’t look back as I walked away but damn, I wanted to.I wanted to see her reaction.Grace had no idea what she does to me. None at all.She stood there, wide-eyed and breathless, cheeks flushed like I had just whispered sin into her soul. Maybe I had. Maybe I wanted to.But I haven't yet and she drives me insane. One moment she is rolling her eyes at me and calling me names. The next, she is frozen under my gaze like she is afraid of how much she is affected by me and actually wants me.And that? That is dangerous.Because I wanted her.Not just the way a man wants a woman. Not just sexually or for pleasure in the bed alone.I wanted her silence and her laughter, her stubbornness and the way she said my name when she was annoyed.I wanted her loyalty. I want to be the first person she thinks of when she is in trouble. I want to be the only one whom she trusts. I entered my room and slammed the door shut. I was feeling it again. The tingling sensation in my skin

  • A Nurse for the Mafia Don    Chapter 48

Grace's povI waited a few seconds after he closed the door before I finally got out of bed, brushing my hair back while muttering to myself like a crazy person. “You talk in your sleep,” I mimicked, rolling my eyes. “Just take me out of this world.” I groaned to myself.I went to the bathroom and brushed my teeth, then I left my room and headed to the kitchen. The smell of coffee reached my nose before I even stepped into the kitchen.I needed that. I entered the kitchen and saw him.He was leaning casually against the counter with a mug in his hand like a walking Calvin Klein ad who just happened to make coffee in my house. Not my house though.“Morning, sunshine,” he said, his voice annoyingly calm.“I am not speaking to you,” I replied, walking past him and grabbing a mug.“You will,” he said.I poured myself coffee, refusing to look at him. “You are enjoying this way too much.”“I am,” he agreed shamelessly.I sipped my coffee, still facing away from him. “Silvano.”“Yes?”“Wh

Grace's pov I woke up to soft morning light seeping through the curtains, painting golden lines across the room.I sat up, my hands over my eyes then I felt it. The warmth beside me and I froze first before I slowly turned my head. And there he was.Silvano.He was lying right there, next to me, on his back. One of his arms was under his head while the other was resting casually in the space between us, slightly curled toward me.His hair was messy and his breathing was slow and even. He looked so cute and at peace right now I could kiss him. My eyes fell on his lips and I licked mine. For a second, I just stared at him. Pervert, my mind screamed at me.What? I was just admiring God's perfect work.Or you were eye-rapping him?Common, I would never do that…and if I were, then no one was going to find out. I was the only one here in the room with him, and he was sleeping. So I can continue looking at him.I kept on looking at him, and my hand itched to reach out and trace the line

Grace's Pov His nose grazed mine, slow and soft, making my breath hitch and his forehead touched mine. I felt his chest rise and fall against mine, his scent wrapping around me like a spell.I felt his fingers gently tilt my chin up.And then his phone blared loudly between us, slicing through the moment like a knife. At first, he didn't move, he just stayed there, his eyes closed and his forehead still pressed to mine.He groaned quietly. “I swear, if that is not someone dying, they are going to wish they were.”I bit my bottom lip, grinning despite myself, as he reluctantly pulled away and fished the phone from his pocket. He checked the caller ID and sighed, his jaw tightening just slightly before he answered.“Yeah?” His voice was clipped and serious now.I watched him as he listened to the person on the call, his expression changing to an unreadable one as he listened.“Understood. I will be there,” he said, finally, and ended the call.He looked at me, the softness in his feat

  • A Nurse for the Mafia Don    Chapter 45

Grace's PovThe ride back to Silvano's house was quiet. My head was leaning on the door, my eyes shut but I was wide awake. My mind wasn't present, it kept playing what happened at dinner over and over again. I couldn't speak to Soph before I left because she didn't open the door for me to explain. Mum and Noah weren't fine with my decision, but when Vano gave them his word to watch over me, they let me.I didn't mean to hurt her or anyone. I didn't want to leave them but I had to. Their safety was my priority. I caused this for them and I am going to correct this also. When Vano said he was going to protect them, I believed him. There was no one else I could. I didn't know if Silvano knew I wasn't sleeping but the next thing I knew was the car pulling over. Thinking we had gotten to his house, I raised my head and looked out the window but we were at a beach. He got out of the car and circled around the car to open the door for me.“What are we doing here?” I asked, looking at h
