Prologue

_{It was a breezy and perfect summer night. On the porch balcony, Dawn is letting the wind caress her long, beautiful, white hair. Her gaze was lifted to the lovely blue and black sky and the bright yellow moon above. Dawn's beautiful life filled her with peace in moments like these, she reflected. Her mind was interrupted before she could think of anything else,} 

_{"Hey my love, why are you awake?" a male voice asked, snapping her out of it. Turning around, Dawn saw Logan, the love of her life, standing there.}

_{Logan is around 6’2 with a medium build and impressive rock-hard abs that will leave you speechless. His caramel skin complements his beautiful gray eyes that can captivate you if you gaze into them long enough. “Sleep eluded me; I had a lot on my mind,” Dawn explained as she walked closer.}

_{"I hope this is good," Logan said, his arms enveloping her.}

_{“It’s always something good, you know,” she said, kissing his cheek.}

_{Lost in each other's eyes, a long-lost lovers' embrace followed naturally.}

_{Dawn felt Logan's arousal and blushed, realizing she still had the ability to turn him on. Dawn said, “It seems like someone wants to play.”}

_{Logan smirked, then said to her, “Honey, it's always eager to come out and play.” At that moment, Logan lifted Dawn into his arms and carried her to the bed. Dawn was gently laid on the bed, where he began to kiss her. The passion of their kiss ignited their inner wolves, causing them to howl excitedly. Breaking the kiss, Logan went for Dawn's neck.}

_{Logan, seeing that they were both naked, immediately began to caress and lightly squeeze Dawn's breasts, eliciting a small moan from her. Logan took hold of one of her breasts and started sucking on her nipple. As Dawn felt the tingling spread through her body, she started to shiver. Right before he touched her clitoris, he sensed that Dawn had reached climax in his hand. A deep breath helped Dawn calm her racing heart, filled with delightful pleasure. At the sight of Dawn, Logan cried out, "I can't bear this anymore!When he parted Dawn's legs, he was fully aroused, wasting no time to penetrate her. Each thrust made Dawn cry out in pleasure, urging him to go harder.}

_{He responded, “My pleasure.” Logan pushed further into her barriers, losing control of the wolf within him as his eyes darkened. Dawn's eyes matched his, turning black, sensing her own wolf Aurora.}

_{was gaining control. Logan was wrapped in her legs. He hammered her even harder than he had ever done before. With each stroke, she envisioned herself reaching a level of happiness beyond imagination. Looking into Logan's eyes, Dawn recalled their colliding worlds and the happiness Phoenix and Aurora felt. “Baby, I’m coming!” Dawn yells to Logan, her eyes rolling back in her head.}

_{He responded with, “Me too.” In an instant, he released his seed into Dawn, and they reclined on the bed, giggling with each other. As their eyes met, Dawn said to Logan, "My love, you need to wake up, this is all a dream."   and that when he hears Dawn saying, “Baby, time to wake up, it’s breakfast time she said mind linked him.}

_{Logan said, "Okay, sweetheart, I'm awake," while rubbing his eyes and rising.}

_{Dawn replied, “Okay, I’ll see you in a minute.” Logan rose and walked toward the bathroom. He immediately went to the shower to turn the water on after entering. As soon as Logan entered, the warm water's soothing touch eased his tension. The beautiful dream lingered in his thoughts, bringing a smile to his face. He then began to hum without warning;}

_{“ Do you know what today is?” His wolf Phoenix ask}

 _{“Of course, it’s Tuesday,” Logan said.}

_{“Seriously, you know today is something that very important.”}

_{“Oh yeah, it’s the first day of winter,” Logan says.}

_{Logan, interrupting Phoenix's mounting frustration, declared, "I know perfectly well what day it is! I’ll never forget this day, and I aimed to get you all worked up.}

_{"You're a jerk," Phoenix retorted.}

_{Still chuckling, Logan finished his shower. After exiting, he grabbed a towel, dried off, and then proceeded to his bedroom to dress. Now dressed, Logan approaches the nightstand and retrieves a red velvet box, He then goes downstairs. Upon arriving downstairs, Logan was greeted by the mouthwatering aroma of pancakes, sausage, eggs, grits, mixed fruit, coffee, and orange juice that his mate was preparing in the kitchen.}

_{With everything looking flawless, Logan's mouth watered in admiration. Dawn jumps slightly when she turns and sees her mate staring at her from the kitchen.}

_{“ You scare me, baby.”}

_{"I couldn't resist the tempting aroma and just had to come in to see you, baby. do you need any help?"}

_{"No, I've got this.” While Dawn was setting the table, she felt two arms embrace her waist. Logan then hugged her tightly and kissed the spot on her neck. As Dawn feels her body starting to become aroused, her face begins to blush. Aurora quietly purrs to herself, suggesting, "Let him and Phoenix have their way with us now."}

 _{“Are you insane? William in the next room.”}

_{"You're absolutely right, Dawn. Let's just have breakfast," Aurora said with disappointment.}

_{"Logan, you know that kissing me there really arouses me."}

_{“I know. I enjoy watching your facial expressions. Reaching into his pocket, Logan gives her a red box.}

_{Dawn exclaimed, "What is this?" while examining the box.}

_{“Open it up and see.” Logan told Dawn. Upon opening it, she presented a light sapphire crystal necklace on a black rope, approximately 18 inches in length. It glinted slightly when sunlight came through the window. Dawn couldn't help but smile. She was moved to tears, whispering, "This is so beautiful."}

_{It makes me happy that you like it. I was reminded of the first time I laid eyes on you when I saw this. Your sparkling eyes warmed my heart. Most importantly to me is that you didn't care I was an Omega, even coming from a powerful Alpha family.}

_{“Logan,” Dawn said, “you know I'd jump at the chance to do it all over again.”}

_{"I knew you would feel this way, which is why I consider myself the luckiest man on earth. Today's our five-year anniversary—Happy Anniversary, sweetheart!" Logan exclaimed, kissing Dawn. Lost in a passionate embrace, they felt like they were somewhere else entirely. Their romantic moment ended abruptly when a child yelled, "Yuck, get a room! Logan and Dawn simultaneously turned to see their son William enter the kitchen. William was a strikingly handsome boy, much like his father. His hair is long, dark, black, and wavy, his eyes, a pretty grey. Standing at a height of around 5’7, at five years old. William inherited some of his mother's features, including her beautiful Kalahari sand complexion, and has adorable dimples when he smiles.}

_{"William, sweetheart, are you ready to eat?" Dawn inquired.}

_{William chuckled, replying, "Yes, Mommy."}

_{"Have a seat, I'll bring it to you," Dawn said.}

_{“Okay, mommy,” he said, disappearing into the next room.}

_{Turning back, Dawn was unaware that she still held the necklace. A smile touched her face before the realization hit: she'd forgotten Logan's gift. Logan noticed the waning smile and sadness in Dawn's expression, leading him to inquire, "What's the matter, baby?"}

_{A tear rolls down Dawn's face as she confesses, "You gave me this beautiful necklace, and I have nothing for you."}

_{Logan moved nearer to Dawn, placed both hands on her face, and said, "Baby, you've already given me a lot - your love and our son. My most treasured gifts are you two; I would not trade you for anything, Logan kissed Dawn and embraced her again. Dawn brightened, and with the embrace over, he retrieved the necklace from her. Logan commanded, “Turn around to allow me to place this on you.” Nodding, Dawn turned and lifted her hair so he could put on the necklace. With the necklace on, she turned and faced him. "Perfect," he commented.}

_{Dawn announced, “Let's eat before the food cools down.”}

_{Dawn took the plates; meanwhile, Logan got the orange juice and cups. Proceeding to the dining room, they found William seated at the table. Dawn placed the plate in front of William on the table. Conversely, Logan set the cups on the table and began pouring juice. Dawn was directed by Logan to sit in the chair he'd set out. Sitting down, she was helped by him pushing the chair closer. Dawn then thanked Logan. "No problem, darling," Logan said, kissing her lightly on the lips.}

_{With a shudder, William said, "Ugh, that's gross," and looked away.}

_{William waits until it’s time for you to meet your mate. Logan suggests, "You're going to kiss her, just like I'm kissing your mom."}

_{"Daddy, I think girls are gross, I won't be kissing any of them."}

_{With a loud laugh, Logan predicted, “Give it a few years, and you'll see things differently.”}

_{"Don't bet on the father," William stated.}

_{Dawn observes the father and son debating about girls and smiles, feeling grateful for the life she has with both of them, but is interrupted before she can reflect further. The sound of shattered glass broke her trance, causing everyone to look shocked and at each other. Logan stood up and went over to Dawn, while William stood from where he was and told them, "Stay here, I'm going to investigate." Dawn nodded in agreement.}

_{Logan walked into the living room. He then noticed a broken window and shattered glass on the floor. As the investigation went on, Logan's lead grew increasingly compelling, unnerving Phoenix. A familiar smell triggered Logan's memory, prompting him to try and remember. A minute later, it came back, and he and Phoenix both instantly exclaimed, "It's gas!"}

_{As Logan turned to retrace his steps, another window broke, interrupting his response. This time, a grenade flew in through the window. He yelled, "Baby, get out now!" at Dawn as he ran.  She scooped up William, rushed to the back door, opened it, and fled. As soon as the grenade hit the ground, a loud blast blew down half of their house.}

_{Rising to their feet, they were suddenly confronted by several approaching wolves. The wolves appear to be rogues based on their appearance. Aurora conveyed to Dawn, "Dawn, I smell a scent I recognize, it's from your father's pack, inform Logan."}

  _{Dawn told Logan, “I believe my father sent these wolves to kill us”.}

 _{Logan became furious that Phoenix had taken over; he looked at Dawn and said, “We have to get away.” With a nod, Dawn and they altered their course, proceeding through the forest and passing all the large trees. Protecting William at any cost made Dawn's fear increasingly more acute. Dawn checked on Logan, wondering if he'd returned or if Phoenix remained. Because of her alpha blood, Dawn senses a wolf approaching, and suddenly, a wolf emerges from behind a tree, halting them in their tracks.}

_{Logan gathers Dawn and William behind him, turning to ensure Dawn is within earshot.}

_{"Run with William, my love, I'll be right behind you," Logan winked. With a nod, Dawn prepared to run. But before she had the chance, more wolves arrived and encircled them. Dawn scanned the area to determine the number of wolves present.} 

_{Of the five, three were golden brown, one black and white, and two black. Gazing into their eyes, she recognized the malicious intent of the wolves, sensing an imminent war. Although victory was within reach with Logan, her focus was on William's safety. Since William is just a child and hasn't transitioned yet, his safety is the priority, and she's focusing on deciphering Aurora's statement. “Dawn, I'm ready. Let's hear your plan?”}

_{Dawn responded, "The goal is to get William somewhere safe."}

_{Knowing an attack was near, Logan shielded Dawn and William from the rouges. With so many thoughts flooding Logan's mind, he failed to notice a wolf attacking him by clawing his right shoulder, snapping him out of his daze and causing Logan to react.}

_{Phoenix assumed control; Logan's wolf had grey and white fur and deep, dark blue eyes. A golden-brown wolf with green eyes was among the others.}

_{Logan initiated the fight by crawling towards the wolf, getting close enough to make it cry out and back away.He then attacked, sinking his teeth into the wolf's stomach, causing severe bleeding. Logan's response to a wolf's howl is immediate destruction. Then two more wolves arrived, their eyes full of menace.}

_{Logan's mind-link to Dawn conveyed the urgent message: "Run! Run as fast as you can!" Dawn saw an open spot, it was her chance to get away and she took it. While holding William in her arms, she started running fast. But before she could go any farther, she looked back to see five wolves surrounding Logan. The black one then headed straight for Logan's left leg and bit down so hard that the sound of a bone cracking could be heard. Logan let out a howl of pain. Dawn and Aurora both yell, "Oh hell no," simultaneously when they hear about their mate's injuries.}

_{Looking around rapidly, Dawn sees some large bushes near a big tree, thinking it's a good place to conceal William. Because the bushes were so large, it was impossible to determine if anyone was concealed within them. Hurrying to the bushes, Dawn softly placed William down, instructing him to stay hidden until she or someone else came for him. Shaking and scared, William nodded and entered the bushes.} 

_{Dawn morphed into Aurora as she ran, while Logan battled against a black and white wolf by tugging on its ear with his teeth. Phoenix's leg remained in the black wolf's possession until Aurora's surprise attack; she overpowered the wolf, and they tumbled together into the grass. With bared teeth, Aurora and the other wolf faced off in a tense stare-down. Aurora directs her attack at the wolf's right arm, biting it and bringing the wolf to the ground in pain as she dominates him. With furious eyes, Aurora roared at him instantly. With a fierce tackle, Aurora brings the wolf down, sinking her teeth into its throat; the wolf cries out in agony as blood spurts, coating Aurora and the surroundings.}

_{She turned and saw that Phoenix had taken down two wolves, leaving just two remaining. Aurora quickly returned to action, taking down one wolf from behind and tearing off its head. After it fell, she confidently moved on to the next wolf, going for its throat and causing it to collapse. Phoenix was spotted by Aurora as he stood; she noticed he was limping. Approaching him, Aurora checked to make sure he was okay. With a look into Aurora's red eyes, Phoenix moved to her face and gave a small bite, indicating that he was alright.}

_{Aurora nuzzled her head against Phoenix's face, then made her way over to William with Phoenix trailing behind her. Quickly searching for clothes, Dawn located a man's long white tee shirt and black jeans, giving the jeans to Logan and wearing the shirt. Getting his leg into his pants was a bit of a struggle for Logan. “Allow me to assist you,” Dawn offered. She walks over, grabs the pants, and kneels down to open them up for Logan to put his legs in. For assistance, Logan placed his hands on Dawn's shoulders. He began by raising his left leg, swiftly putting it into his pants, then effortlessly added the other.}

_{With their bodies concealed, they approached William.  "William, sweetheart, you can come out now," Dawn announced. William emerged from the bushes less than a minute later, still slightly scared, and rushed into his parents' arms for a group hug. Her excitement vanished as Dawn spotted more rouges nearby, urgently telling Logan, "More are coming, and they're close."}

_{"All right, time to go," said Logan.}

_{As soon as he rose and they started running, Dawn noticed Logan struggling to maintain pace. Judging by his wounds, it seems the wolf attacked him severely. With the wolves closing in, Dawn had to make a decision reminiscent of what an Alpha would do in that situation - fight.}

_{"Logan, get William and get out of here," Dawn said.}

_{“How about yourself?” Logan asks.}

_{“To buy you and William time to escape, I’ll draw their attention away.”}

_{“Absolutely not, have you lost your mind? You won't be facing this alone; I'll be right here with you.”}

_{“Logan, with your leg injured and bleeding, you must be prepared to defend yourself in the upcoming battle against these ruthless attackers who will exploit your vulnerability. “I won't allow that,” Dawn declared.}

_{"Dawn, I refuse to let you go through with this," Dawn interrupted him mid-sentence. "Listen, Logan, this is not about us, it's about ensuring William's safety, so let's stop arguing, alright? With tears streaming down her face, Dawn declared, "My alpha blood empowers me to do this. Upon realizing Dawn's determination, Logan knew he couldn't prevent her. Dawn's fearlessness and selflessness were key reasons he fell in love with her.}

_{“Dawn, if you do this, you have to promise me you will catch up,” Logan stated.}

_{“I swear, leave now.” She gives William to Logan, kisses him, gazes into his eyes, shares a kiss, and then pulls away. Returning to Aurora, their eyes met, and she winked at him. She then proceeded to where the rouges were. With William in his arms, Logan limped away, running as fast as his injured leg would allow.  Despite the agony, he pressed on to safeguard William. “I will protect him at all costs or die trying,” he thought.}

_{Deep into his journey, a loud wolf howl startled Logan to a standstill. Both felt the pain acutely, with Phoenix distraught, exclaiming to Logan, "Our mates are in pain, ignoring the pain, Logan gathered his strength and ran back, with thoughts of Dawn consuming his mind. He minds link Dawn by saying, “Dawn baby, hold on, I’m coming.”}
