"Well, why don't you stop acting like that! You're supposed to help me!" Klaire exclaimed.
This was already a very big scene. With everything unfolding outside of their house it would defiantly make life harder for all of them. Casey knew that entertaining this argument with Klaire was sure to basically lead to nowhere but he was so embarrassed and tired that he could not help but take his frustrations out at her. And it was for good reason since she was the one who was at fault here and was not seeing anything wrong with her actions.
"Well, why would I when you don't act like it either. You have so little trust in me that you go and steal a book just to know how I feel. When you can surely just ask me!" Casey fired back.
"Why would you tell me anything. You never tell me anything!"

Ava frowned as she ate the last of the fruit basket. It was filled with some of the most delicious fruits: the juiciest grapes, strawberries, and mangoes. It was truly something she would definitely go and buy for herself in the future. Ava wanted to buy one now but she was leaving the country in a few hours and surely could not finish it in that amount of time. When Ava got to the resort, she was surprised at the number of people who were there. It was obvious that most of the people there were Klaire’s friends. She could hear them screeching and shouting from the moment she walked into the resort. As soon as she knew what the scene looked like, she instantly wanted to turn back. Ava was not a party person, but she should have expected this sort of thing when it came to Klaire. The next day, all the extraneous activities that Klaire wanted to do started. Casey would have preferred if he could stay in the hotel but since he was the fiance, he was going to be dragged into everything that she wanted to do. It seemed like Ava was also not a fan of the things they were doing and decided to stay in her room. He envied her. Even though they were in a fancy resort with all the things that were needed for a vacation, Klaire still insisted on leaving. Casey understood that there were interesting activities that the resort did not provide, but still, going zip-lining was not something he would want to do right away. He was not even fully recovered from the jet lag. It also bothered him that it seemed like Klaire invited everyone on her contact list. When the group had returned, Casey had long returned to his room, he was not sure if Ava was still down by the pool but he would have guessed that she returned to her room once the place began to get noisy again. Ava smiled at Klaire as she sat back down in the room. It was the only room they could get that was away from the noise and somewhat like an office. There were couches and a coffee table, but everything looked tropical. The coffee table was literally made out of bamboo and there were various paintings on the walls of coconut trees and flowers and all colorful things of a sort.Klaire returned her smile with an awkward laugh. She crossed her ankles and leaned back into the couch. There were a few moments of silence and Ava knew that it was her job to move past it all and put on a brave face. It seems like forever since we had one of these sessions huh?” Ava chuckled, trying to lighten the mood.“Yeah… it’s been a while.” Klaire nodded.“So I think we should just get the rough stuff out of the way first.

To say that Ava had not known peace since meeting Casey and Klaire would be an understatement. She did not know why in her mind, she imagined ever getting moments of peace when she was around Klaire and Casey. She guessed it was because of Klaire's change of behaviour that she had some hope. But as always, it was a problem that was obviously the fault of Klaire. It was actually about her change of behavior. Or, lack thereof, she would say.It was the day after Ava came to her epiphany about Klaire’s behavior. She was spending the day making calls and doing research on the best ways to try and help Klaire. In the past, she had dealt with people who had similar problems but never to the degree that Klaire had it. Ava concluded that it was because Klaire was so famous that it definitely changed the way her brain functioned and differentiated her from the other patients she had.Ava was using the office space she was given by the hotel.

“I’m calling off the wedding.”That was the first thing that Casey said as soon as the door closed and Ava braced herself for the hell-storm that would follow. Toxic was not the word she would have used in the past but Klaire’s actions were borderline toxic. She manipulated Casey in order to get him to stay with her.
