I tried all my best to avoid going to the Friday party. I tried convincing Tony that my group study every Saturday was compulsory. 

I told him I had to have a good night rest to be refreshed for the group study the next day. But all my excuses were rendered useless. Tony was bent on taking me along with him to the party. I wondered why he wanted so badly for me to be there. 

I sat in the car brooding over the misfortune that had befallen me. Three of Tony's friends had come to take us along with them to the party.
