Gore opened his eyes to the raising sun, and the feeling of being watched.

“Gurt!" Harlow was excited to see him awake.

He leaned his head slightly to the left to look at the smiling child.

“Gurt!" She jumped on him, causing him to wince.

"Harlow," he grunted out, his chest still hurt, and his wound hadn't healed yet.

She smiled at him, still sitting on his chest.

"Easy on him Harlow," Karina pulled her off Gore's chest, then pushed her gently out the door.

"Go check up on Johan, I'm sure she wants to see your face and play," Karina told her.

Harlow pouted, but didn't try to enter the room again.

"Don't let her back in here. I don't want her to see me like this. Weak and broken." Gore managed out.

Karina rolled her eyes at her brother, "even the strong have to fall down sometimes."

Gore lay back down, closing his eyes. “How did she know I was hurt?"

Karina shook her head, "I don't know, but she was trying to tell me you were in danger all along, maybe if I had listened to her-"
