Meanwhile, Stephanie who was aware of what was being said behind her back, drove home with his children.

She was planning on going back to the hospital after dropping them off, but on getting home, she met Elsie who insisted they go out to have lunch. Since her father wasn’t back from the company yet, Stephanie decided to take Liam and Lilly with them.

After freshening up and changing into a casual wear they headed out.

Just as they get to the car, Stephanie’s phone rang, it was the director from the research center.

She picked up the call and answered. “Hello director!”

“Ms. Williams, I came to your office to inform you that there will be a meeting by 9:00 am tomorrow morning, but your assistance told me you had already gone home.”

“Yes, director, something came up and I had to go home early, I was in a hurry and didn’t remember inform you before Leaving, Is there anything else I should know?”

“No, just remember to come early tomorrow for the meeting.”

“Got it.”

With that the call ended.

Elsie glanced at her, “from work?”

Stephanie nodded. “Yep! Today is my first day at work and I left before the closing hour.”

“You’re the dean so no one will question you.” Elsie said.

Stephanie smiled.

Elsie drove the car to a high-end restaurant.

Just then the car stopped in front of a building, the entire structure was luxurious, with a distinct western style , that made one want to step in.

They got out and Elsie took them to a private room, she is an SSSVIP customer and can come and dine here without making any reservations.

On getting to the private room, Elsie looked around the room and asked. “Steph, what do you think?”

Stephanie lifted her eyes and scanned the room, every corner of the room exude luxury.

Stephanie knew that this private room was not something that ordinary people would book, it required both money and connections, and Elsie wasn’t ordinary.

“I love it.”

Elsie grinned. “I know you would like it, this restaurant was built by Nathan Robinson, three years ago when you were still abroad.”

Hearing this, Stephanie heart skip a bit, even after all this years, whenever Nathan Robinson name was mentioned, her heart always fluttered.

Just then a waiter came to take their order.

“Bring us your signature dishes!” Elsie ordered.

The waiter nodded and left.

Elsie turned to Stephanie and her group, “trust me you will like their signature dishes.”

Soon the food was served.

Liam took a bite, and his eyes lit up, he looked at Elsie. “Aunt Elsie, you really know how to enjoy life,huh?”

Elsie smiled and ruffled his hair, even your mom too.”

This is delicious!” Lilly exclaimed.

Stephanie nodded. “Yes it’s really good.”

Seeing their expression, Elsie couldn’t help but smile, i told you, the food here is pretty good. The first day I tasted their food, i couldn’t resist ordering more to take home, I told myself that once you returned, I will bring you here to try it.”

The atmosphere at the private room was so lively.

Lilly was over the moon, chatting while eating.

Being someone who loves sweet foods, this was the first time she had tasted something so delicious as this .

“The food abroad, is so tasteless compared to this, it’s like heaven and earth.” She commented.

“Seriously?”

“Yup!”

Elsie chuckled and then serve her some food, “try this, it’s my favorite!”

Lilly beamed with joy, “Thanks, aunt Elsie, I like it.”

“If you like it, then go ahead and eat more, you can even order takeout when we’re leaving.” Elsie said.

Lilly nodded. “Then I won’t hold back.”

Liam rolled his eyes at her, “when have you ever hold back when it comes to food?”

Everyone laughed.

“Why don’t you two call me Godmother instead of aunt Elsie .”

“But we call our mother Stephanie, so calling you Godmother will make her jealous,” Liam said playfully.

“Why do you call her Stephanie instead of mother?”

“Stephanie said that calling her mom makes her look too old, and you are asking us to call you mom, don’t you know people will think you are old,”Lilly said with a mouth full of food.

Elsie stared at Stephanie, “Stephanie really said that?”

“Of course, if not, why would we be calling her Stephanie instead of mom!” Liam answered.

“So. Aunt Elsie, do you want us to still call you Godmother?” Lilly asked with a smirk.p

“No need, I’m not that old.”

Stephanie sat nearby, listening to their conversation with a smile.

Liam leaned closer. “Are you sure you don’t want us to call you Godmother?”

“No, I’m fine.”

Hearing this Stephanie and her children laughed at her.

After eating and chatting for a long time, they finally went home.

Next morning.

Stephanie arrived at the institute, she has a meeting to attend this morning.

Seeing her , the director called out to her.

“Ms. Williams .”

“Yes.”

Stephanie walked up to the doctor.

I think we can try it this way…”

Stephanie has a lot to do, so after the meeting, she headed to her office,

Stephanie tried her best to finish all her task on time, she was determined not to work overtime .

She wanted to leave work early to spend time with her family, especially her father who she had missed for five years.

Since returning, she hasn’t spend enough time alone with her father.

Once it was closing hour she gathered her things and left.
