Chapter 5

Jane thought of how to start up a conversation with Nathan, but couldn’t come up with an idea, suddenly an idea struck her, and her eyes lit up.

“Brother Nathan, how was your day at the office?”

Suddenly Nathan stood up.”’m full, grandpa I’m going to my room to rest,” with that he turned to leave.

Jane seeing that Nathan was about to leave, turned to Mr Robinson beside her, putting on a pitiful appearance. “Grandpa is brother Nathan angry with me? I just asked him a question and he stood up and left.

Jane knows that Nathan left because of her but can she really say that aloud.

Seeing her pitiful appearance, which makes people think that she has been wrong, Mr Robinson consoled her . “Jane don’t think too much, Nathan is not that kind of a person, moreover you didn’t say anything bad. He left because he is done eating “

Jane couldn’t help but sneer inwardly, it sounded better than it actually was.

But why did he leave immediately I asked him that question ? Do you think I shouldn’t have asked him that question? Jane continues to ask

Mr Robinson stared at her. Why do I think that Jane has changed, he said in his mind.

Seeing Mr Robinson staring at her,, “I’m just worried about brother Nathan, maybe his done eating, and I’m thinking too much,” she added, in other not to be seen as someone who is petty.

Hearing her explanation, Mr Robinson relaxed, maybe I’m thinking too much she is just worried about Nathan, he turned to Nathan who was about to go to his room and said. “Nathan even if you’re done eating, you can’t leave your fiancée here and go inside .sit down and chat with her until she finish eating then you can take her home before going to bed.

Hearing this Nathan turned around and face his grandfather, grandpa the driver can take ms.William home, and as for chatting with her,we have nothing to talk about.

After saying that, he tried to leave again but grandpa Robinson angry voice made him stop in his track.

“Nathan come back here and sit down what do you mean you both have nothing to talk about, if you don’t know, then let me remind you.”

“You need to sit down and plan your wedding with her, discuss when you will be getting your marriage certificate, you both need to get it as soon as possible, the virginity test had been done and it’s confirmed that Jane is a virgin, so I don’t know what else you are still waiting for.”

Nathan sneer inwardly, virgin indeed, is she really a virgin? I think she knows better. He came back and sat down obediently.

As soon as Nathan sat down Mr Robinson stood up and left the dining table. “I’m done eating you guys chat ,” with that he left the two behind and went to his room to rest

He knows that Nathan will definitely not disobey him even though he can be stubborn sometimes.

Seeing her plan work out. Jane was so happy,she decided to cherish this opportunity .

She put up a more pitiful appearance and turned to Nathan. “Brother Nathan. I’m sorry if I made you upset, I just wanted to chat with you..”

“Don’t worry I will make it up to you in the future.” She added.

“No need,” Nathan narrowed his eyes and spoke coldly looking at the woman in front of him.

Seeing her pitiful face other men would have softened their mind but not Nathan. His eyes were filled with visible disdain, he hated woman who pretended to be pitiful .

Even though Jane knew that Nathan does not love her, but she couldn’t help but feel disappointed by his constant rejection.

But how can she give up.

“Brother Nathan i know you are tired you can go in and rest, I will drive myself home,” Jane said.

“I will take you home, I don’t want my grandpa to worry,” Nathan replied.

When Jane heard that Nathan had agreed to take her home, she was excited but the last sentence shattered the last piece of hope she had. Just as I thought, he is only doing it so that his grandfather will not worry.

On the way home both remained silent, Jane stared at Nathan’s handsome face for a long time, while Nathan focused on driving, not even sparring her a glance .

Jane opened her mouth to say something but decided against it, even though she doesn’t like the silence, she knows to well that Nathan is angry because of her and she shouldn’t provoke him further.
