Gabrielle’s POV
"You...what are you doing here?" I asked, my voice a bit slurred due to the drinks. He began walking towards me, and I raised my head to stare at him. For the first time since I met him, he was dressed casually in jeans and a white Henley shirt that still showed his bulging muscles. His hair was stylishly ruffled to give him a sexy out-of-bed look. I couldn't help swallowing a little. His face was hard and a cold glint showed in his eyes. "What were you thinking?" He growled low in his throat. I should be scared, but stranger, I wasn't. "What do you mean?" "Here. What are you doing in a place like this?" I sighed as I shifted my face away from him, it's not like something was wrong with this place, was there? "Nothing. I just wanted to have some fun...is there anything wrong with that?" His eyebrows furrowed, his lips pressed in a grim line, as if trying to suppress his emotions but his stormy eyes betrayed him. "Not if you're dressed like that and in this state." I looked down at myself, and I thought I looked good. What was his problem? "Hey, there is nothing wrong with the way I am dressed. You may not like it but that doesn't mean it's bad, okay? Now move out of my way, I have to get to the bathroom." I took a step, hoping he would move away, but I only heard a sigh, and the next thing I knew, I was up in the air, my body nestled comfortably across his chest. That cleared my head real quick. "W..what are you doing?" What is wrong with him? Doesn't he know who he is and what he's doing right now? I struggled to get down but his strong arms only tightened around me. "I'll advise you to stay still. You might not like what I'll do to you." He growled, his words laced with a threat. My breathing got a bit harsher as a strange sense of excitement consumed me. I watched his face quietly, my eyes flicking to his hair, wondering what it would feel like on my fingers. "And what will you do to me, Mr Voss?" My voice sounded soft and sensual. A low growl rumpled in his chest as he stared straight at me, his ocean eyes shining bright with ferocious desire. I suddenly wanted him to reach his limits. Maybe it was the alcohol talking or my dark desires talking but right now I didn't care. "Do you really want to know, Gabriella?" Ohh...I loved the way he growled my name. It senses a warm rush into my body. Fuck this. Today I'm going to be daring. So I leaned closer until my lips were right across his ears, his body became stiff and tense. "Take me to your room, Mr. Voss." As if in a blur, he rushed out of the bar, still carrying me. I found myself in the passenger side of his car and then he got in. But before I could say anything, he grabbed my lips and locked me in with a long, drawn-out, ferocious kiss. I couldn't help moaning into his mouth and letting my hands run across his hard body. When we finally separated for air, he licked his lips, his eyes dark and still focused on my lips. My body felt on fire and the only sound in the car was our breathless panting. "Hurry." I pleaded, my hands fisted on my lap. He nodded sharply and drove like a madman to his place. It all happened so fast, I found myself naked and on his bed, his hot lips intent on my breasts as he sucked hard on the nipples. My body bucked and arched wildly as his large hands roamed my body and explored my lady parts. "Put it in." I almost sobbed as my hands frantically tugged on his huge member. "As you wish." He murmured then took my lips in his again. White light burst in my vision when I finally felt him inside me, my scream was swallowed by his mouth. "I'm going to make sure you never think of any man again." He growled into my ears, his voice urgent. I didn't care or think about what he said. I just wanted more pleasure. "Whatever you say." Morning came and I sat mortified as I stared at Aiden. He was still asleep and his chest rose up and down in succession. "What have I done?" I grabbed a fistful of my chestnut hair as I groaned. "Why did you get yourself drunk, you idiot?" My mouth still felt bitter from yesterday's drinking spree. Oh well. I shook my head hard. I have to get out of here before he wakes up, it's already bad enough for me. I mean, I'm not even divorced yet and I already slept with someone else. My soon-to-be ex-husband's uncle, for that matter. "Arrrgh! Kill me please." I mumbled under my breath as I stood up with difficulty, my legs certainly weak from the vigorous exercise he put me through. Carefully, I dressed in my short dress and held my heels in my hands while tiptoeing towards the door with light steps. I placed my hand on the doorknob, about to twist it when a deep voice spoke behind me. "And where do you think you are going to?" Shit. I froze, not turning back because I refused to see his face. My face was burning hot with shame, and my hand tightened on the doorknob. "I'm going back home." "Without even a goodbye?" His voice taunted and teased me but I still didn't turn back. I took a deep breath and opened the door. "Can you accept that what happened last night was nothing but a mistake and go on as if nothing happened, Aiden?" He hesitated. "Why?" "Because..." I bit my lips, not knowing what to say. Should I say because I am still married, or because he's my husband's uncle? This is hopeless. I just shook my head and walked out, my eyes ahead and my ears closed because I don't know what I'll do if he calls me back. To be continued…Gabrielle’s POV"You...what are you doing here?" Gabrielle’s POV“But why not?” I asked, my eyes fixed firmly on his face, searching for an answer, yet also daring him to give me one.Aiden leaned forward slightly, his sharp gaze locking with mine. His presence was magnetic, and I could feel the tension hanging in the air between us.“Give me a reason to have lunch with you,” he said, his tone deep and controlled, while his eyebrows rose with a teasing challenge.I felt a small smirk tug at the corner of my lips. He wanted me to give him a reason? As if I was desperate to beg for his attention. I straightened up and flipped my hair backward in a slow, deliberate motion, letting him see that I wasn’t going to play his little game.“It’s fine,” I muttered with a light shrug, turning on my heels.I took a step toward the door, determined not to give him the satisfaction of seeing any disappointment on my face. But just as I was about to leave, his voice echoed behind me.“I’ll go with you.”I stopped in my tracks, my heart betraying me
Gabrielle's POVAnd with that, I stormed out of the event hall, my heels clicking loudly on the marble floor as if they, too, were expressing my fury.I didn’t care who saw me or what they thought. My heart was pounding in my chest like it was trying to escape, and I could feel the heat rising in my neck, my teeth chattering. I was angry, deeply hurt, and worst of all, I felt like a fool. I felt betrayed, disappointed, humiliated, and completely used. How could I have been so blind? How could I not have seen the signs? Aiden. That name rang in my ears like a haunting echo. Aiden. The man I had almost trusted, not knowing he was playing a game. A dirty, calculated, heartless game. What made it worse, what truly made me sick to my stomach, was that I had heard about Aiden for years. Ethan never stopped talking about him. He constantly brought him up in conversation. "My uncle is a perfectionist," he would say. "My uncle is so cold, but he always gets the job done." "My uncle built
“Baby.” I heard that tiny voice from behind and even through the noise inside the extravagant gala, I could still recognise the voice. Freda, my betrothal. “Baby, you have been scanning the room, are you expecting someone I don't know of?” She questioned, her voice laced with curiosity and I slowly lifted her hands away from my waist.“Freda, this isn't a couple's reunion or something. I have warned you. Stay clear away from being touchy. Don't let me get you to be the center of attention.” I warned, my eyes assessing her black revealing corset gown. Freda is a very pretty woman, beautiful long legs that fit her body so well. She can be identified as the ‘perfection’, her hair always braided in a bridal style, her lips glossy at every time and her hazel eyes always assessing and yawning for love but honestly, I do not want all of that.I wanted a life free from women and she was blocking that. I think she deserves better. Yes, she does. She sighed and nodded her head, although I cou
“Fuck!” I cursed underneath my breath, slowly placing my hand on my chest suppressing the rising and falling rapidly of my heart. “Ariella! Why are you here?” I asked, staring at the lady dressed in office wear standing inside my kitchen, holding my spoon and making out food. I rolled my eyes, folding my hand to my chest as I waited for an explanation. “I am sure you have a lot to explain.” I watched her fidget on her nails before clearing her throat. “Gabby, it's been one week. One whole week and you have missed a lot of work. You have rescheduled your schedule and now they have all gone. You need to get back to work. A lot of files are piled up for you and I can't even bring it here because of your policy. Let's move on. I know you are the boss and I am the staff but let's change it now and I advise you as my very good friend. Move on….. “Ariella.” I warned, my eyes turning red already and she raised her hand up in surrender. “Okay. Okay. I won't talk about that anymore but,
“Shit!” I groaned out uncomfortable as the sound of my phone rang through the still silence of my room, causing me to fluster my eyes open for a damn minute. And all I could feel was a throbbing headache. I slowly reached out with my hand searching for my phone on the light stand without even shifting my eyes away from the ceiling. I knew I would be a mess right now because even the room was looking upside down to me. My eyes felt heavy and my nose, the opposite side of it. I successfully picked up my phone, checking the ID caller to see it was my assistant. Ariella.“Good morning, ma'am. Your appointment with ….“Mr. Bassey? Yes, I know it's by 8.” I replied almost immediately, my voice coming out barely above a whisper. “Are you okay now? Do you need me to come over? Prepare you something?” Ariella asked. She has been my secretary for 5 good years and I can say, she has been the best so far. No bad records from my side.“It's fine, Ella. Carry on at work, please.” With that, I
