CHAPTER 19

My last class finished at nine p.m. Just after I got out of the school campus, my phone beeped.

A message from Mr. Anonymous came. It states about the address of his condo and the whereabouts of his key and the passcode.

He also said that he will be home during the dawn.

I wonder what he is still doing at this hour. Maybe he is doing his monkey business again.

As long as he won’t be there while I clean, I’m safe. And anyways, why would he want me to clean his condo at this hour?

I received no answer so I just hailed a taxi and told the driver the address.

“Do you live in that building, ma’am?” The old man who’s driving asked.

“No, someone I know lives there.” I replied and smiled.

He nodded his head. “Ahh! I was just wondering. I thought you were the one who lived there.”

“Uhm… Why did you ask though?”

“Well, people who live in that place mostly prefer to use their own luxury cars rather than riding a cheap taxi. I misunderstood you.” He then followed with a short laugh.
