CHAPTER 6

I woke up at exactly seven in the morning. The sun was completely out and Alliyah was still fast asleep.

I realized that it's already the weekend when I looked at the date on my phone. That means we have no classes and I am going to spend the whole day working.

I got out of bed and checked if there's any message for me. I saw nothing. I am still wearing the same clothes I wore last night.

Then suddenly, the scenes from last night came crashing inside my head. I immediately shook my head.

I can't let what happened last night ruin my day today. It's already ruined just by the fact that I need to get out of bed and go to work.

I went to the bathroom and took off my clothes then went straight under the cold shower.

After I finished, I grabbed the load of my laundry 'cause I haven't washed them since last week. There's still some coins left in my wallet from last night.

I need to go to work by nine a.m so I better hurry up.

After grabbing all of them, I went outside. There's a mini laundry area downstairs that is mostly used by the tenants in this cheap apartment.

When I came in, I saw one of our neighbours also doing his laundry. His name is Art. He smiled when he saw me while he's waiting for the machine to stop.

I smiled back at him and went to the vacant machine and started putting all my laundry in it. And after starting it, I went to sit next to him.

"How's school?" He suddenly asked, starting a conversation with me.

I shrugged my shoulders. "Too hectic and tiring." I replied.

"Was it worth it?"

"I guess so. I made it to the dean's list of students with high GPA." I tried to smile, hiding the tiredness in my mood.

"Well, congrats. Having hectic schedules and being tired is part of a student's life. At least it was all worth it." He said with such a happy tone.

He's just a regular guy living on the first floor of our apartment. He works as a call center agent to support his son who lives far from him. From what I heard, he's already in his 30's and still single. But, from what I can see, he isn't interested in entering relationship 'cause he's a dedicated father to his son.

"Thanks. It wasn't just tiring, it was draining mentally and physically." I replied.

"What is your college program again?" He asked.

"Management accounting." I simply replied.

"So, you deal with math and other stuff related to that?"

I nodded my head. "Yup."

"You should be proud of yourself. Millions of people hate that subject yet you manage to be one of those people who are experts in that subject." He complimented with a smile on his lips.

"I am no expert. I just know how to survive our subjects. I am an average learner. I get not to high yet not to low grades and I'm contented with that. And besides, we only calculate money not quadratic equations." I replied then shortly laughed.

He laughed a bit. Then he suddenly looked at something from behind me. The smile on his lips disappeared.

"That car has been there since you came in." He pointed behind my back.

I gave him a confused look before looking behind me. I looked outside the dirty glass window. And from there, I saw a black shining and obviously expensive car parked in front of our building.

After giving it a look, I couldn't identify the car so I turned to Art.

"That's probably nothing. I haven't seen that kind of car. It's obviously from someone who's rich and I have nothing to do with rich people." I casually said.

He took a quick look outside before shrugging his shoulder.

"So, how's work?" He changes the topic.

"Never changed, same as before. Overworked and underpaid." I said followed with a laugh.

He also laughed at what I said. "That's what well-known companies do to their workers. Don't be too shocked."

He stood up when the laundry machine stopped moving. He then grabbed one by one his laundry.

"I'll be heading now. Goodluck and take care of yourself, okay?" He said.

I smiled. "I will, thank you." I replied.

He then went out and left me all alone inside. I was silent while waiting for the machine to stop.

As I was waiting, someone entered through the door. That's why I turned my gaze to the direction.

A familiar face of a man wearing his shades and his formal suit with a blue polo underneath entered the door. His short hair is tied. He almost didn't fit at the small door with his huge body built.

My heart skipped a beat when I realized who it was. I stood up and stepped backward.

It's him again. But what the heck? Did he really look for me?

He suddenly smiled at me. It was creepy and I felt my whole face and head heated.

"Good morning! How was your sleep?" He asked in a gentle tone.

It took me a moment before I realized that I need to gather all the strength in my body to respond to his words.

"I believe that's none of your business." I said with such confidence but I am already shaking in fear. "Now, what are you doing here? Did you really follow me all the way here? Are you serious?" I asked him one after another.

He shrugged his shoulders as if what I said didn't mean anything. "Well, you showed up last night and that was a signal call. That means you are willing to be with me again."

I frowned at what he just said.

"Signal call? What is that supposed to mean? And why do you keep saying the word 'again'? I have never seen you in my whole life." I replied, confused.

He smirked, it was a playful smirk. He suddenly took a few steps forward. "Honey, don't be too hard on me." He said in the most sweetest tone yet he sounded creepy in my ears.

From what I am feeling right now, it was far different from what I felt last night. It was a complete opposite. I rather feel afraid right now. And I know pretty well that if he took another step forward, I am going to snap out and freak out.

I'm really going to start screaming.

I blinked multiple times and calmed myself. "Okay! First thing first, what do you really want from me? I'm just a normal college girl hardly surviving everyday. I am not rich. I can't even afford a more decent place to live. What do you want from me? I have nothing to offer." I said while staring straight at his eyes.

The smile on his face didn't disappear.

"Well, I guess we are going to do it the way we first met." He suddenly stepped forward.

I motioned my hand as if stopping him from moving. "I swear to God, if you take another step, I am going to scream." I warned him.

But, he just started laughing as if what I said was just a big joke. He took another step which made him leave me no choice.

"AHHHHHHH!" I screamed.

He suddenly moved faster and covered my mouth with his large and thick hands. Murmured is what came out of my mouth.

I held his hand and tried pushing him but my strength was nothing compared to his.

He suddenly lifted me up and placed me on his masculine shoulder as if I were just a fifteen kilos sack of rice which made me scream. I was upside down. He attempted to push me downward. That's why I screamed again and held tight on his suit.

I heard him laugh at my situation.

"The f*ck is wrong with you!! Put me down, you creepy b*stard!" I shouted at him.

"That's what you used to call me and you can't keep pretending. I already got you. You're not getting away." He casually said.

"The f*ck are you saying!! Put me down! You freak!!" I shouted.

I started punching his back as hard as I can. But he didn't get a single shit to me.

He started moving to the door. I shouted even louder when my back hit the damn door. It hurts.

We almost didn't fit through the door and he had to bend down yet my body still hit the damn door.

"I hate you, you sick b*stard!! Put me down!" I started moving and moving, trying to escape from his tight grip on my hips.

I looked like a kid being carried out for being spoiled and is now throwing tantrums. And considering my height, it felt even worse.

"Put me down!!" I shouted one last time before he opened the door which I and Art were just looking earlier.

So, it was his car all along. He's been here.

He throwed me on the seat and he also went inside.

We are at the back seat and there's only the two of us inside this car. No driver, just us.

"What the f*ck do you want?!!" I screamed at his face.

I never cursed straight in a row my whole life.
