Chapter 9

Angel’s POV

(At the restaurant)

“Thanks for asking me out, Sarah. It feels good to know someone from the family actually gives a damn about me,” I mumbled.

“It's alright love, we have to choose between losing our minds and looking out for ourselves for as long as we're in that family.” Sarah chuckled as she said.

The past two hours we’d been talking about our childhoods, books, films and art.

She asked me to check my passport so we could visit Switzerland together in summer. I'm excited about it!

Then I remembered Ace hasn't said anything about our honeymoon, but how could he if he doesn't even look at me?

Just then his brother showed up. The one who was ogling at me last night at family dinner. Sarah sighed heavily and did a toast in the air like she did at dinner. I'm guessing she does it when she knows something is about to go down.

“Hello ladies!” He mumbled. His voice hadn't lost its sinister touch to it.

“Heyyyy brother!” Sarah responded sarcastically, stealing a quick glanc
