She grabbed the pen and wrote her signature on it, Imani dropped the paper on the floor and walked out of his study room. The first person she saw on her way out was Luke's mother, Elizabeth, “Why haven't you prepared the dinner?” She snapped but Imani rolled her eyes and wanted to walk pass her but Elizabeth pull her back. “Im talking to you, you brat!” she yelled Imani breathed out, her patience running out “Ask your son to get a maid! You mutt!” Racheal, Luke's younger sister yelled, wanting to slap Imani but Imani held her hand. “I'm done with your stupid attitude! Get out of my way or you face the consequences,” Imani screamed at her but Rachel thought she was joking. “Do your worse you barre-” Imani didn't wait for Rachel to finish when she landed a slap on her face. Everyone gasped, including Luke. “Are you insane! Did you realize what you just did?” Luke fired at her. “Yes, I know. I'm no longer part of your family, am I? I will leave tonight and I hope no body passes my boundaries or you take a hit just like have done to Rachel,” Imani warned “This is only time to redeem yourself Imani. Once you step a foot out of our home, you will never be welcomed here,” Lia mumbled at where she sat. “Tsk, we are the only one who can tolerate you,” She added, a mockery tone in her words Imani looked at her, “I'm never coming into this miserable house again. Enjoy the rest of your miserable life,” With that Imani dashed into her room. The rest of them in the room laughed, “Where does she want to go? No- where!” They all concluded. Killan stared at Imani beautifully, he was happy she’s here.“Er..I..I thought it wouldn’t be nice if I don’t show up at team dinner party. I’ve seen how much you all put into working at Imani tech and it’s only remarkable if I show up here tonight…” Imani quickly said and her gaze slowly shifted to Killan.“…The food and drinks are on me!” She concluded and everyone in the room cheered.“Yayyy!” They chorused. Imani sat beside Emily but the fun stopped. Everyone was careful not to cross the line. No one wants to be served a sack letter the following day. She settled on a sleek black dress, pairing it with statement jewelry and heels. As she began to get dressed, her phone buzzed on the dresser. She glanced at it, seeing Luke's name flashing on the screen. “What does he wants from me!” She ignored it, her expression unimpressed.
