ADAM (Pov)

"AMANDA."

The resemblance was horrifying, she looked exactly like her, It was like seeing Amanda again. the height! the skin!the hair color! Just the same.

Amanda was about 5ft, with porcelain skin, and her hair was ginger, the slight difference was that the lady was skinny compared to Amanda, but they both had a very well-defined hourglass body. Compared to Amanda's long straight hair texture, the lady's hair was voluminous, long, and curly.

Adam Spark's conviction that she wasn't Amanda was because he saw her lifeless body. he was there when Amanda was buried.

Who was this mysterious human? this could be the solution to what had been giving him sleepless nights, and heartache. will this help his brother? he pondered, as the lady swiftly walked past him like he was someone who was about to strike her.

He couldn't blame her. he rapidly followed her to what is known as his office floor. She ought to be scared of him, with the dreadful look he gave her. He had stared at the lady like she was a ghost.

but then, under the circumstances, he couldn't be blamed. The lady's appearance threw him in an unbelievable shock, and he is certain the lady was nerved as well.

She must be new to his company, he thought as he engagingly mulled over why he hadn't met her when she was working in his company and office.

He was spurned back to reality by the piercing eyes inspecting him in a 'is he okay' kind of way. Aware of the looks and stares, he adjusts his body, strutting to his office with his usual straight and firm composure.

Getting to his office seat, he picked up the telecom and buzzed his secretary to Inform the head of staff to see him. Still unsettled and anxious about the mysterious lady, and he knows the anxiousness will not vanish until he finds out about the lady.

Adam stood up from his seat like a child waiting to catch a first glimpse of Santa Claus, peeping from his tinted glass wall to have another view of the lady, but there was no sign of her.

Could she be a client? Or a visiting friend? he thought and doubted. It was too early for a friend to visit& his staff knew better than that, especially knowing he was around the company.

Adam was aware of his reputation amongst his staff as cold-blooded and demanding. But then he doesn't care so far it gets them serious with their work.

Every second seemed like an hour, but he knew all he could do was wait. his tummy growled, indicating the level of his anxiety.

he paced back to his seat. Adam hates not being in control and these minutes of waiting to know who she was have been torturing.

The knock on the door brought him back to reality.

"you asked for me sir" Tom declared. "sit Tom" Adam ordered, in a matter-of-fact tone that sautee his nearly baritone voice.

Trying not to give out any desperation in his voice or demeanor, he relaxed, placing his arms on his gigantic L-shaped wooden desk. "Is there any staff I don't know about Tom?" he asked, maintaining a nonchalant act in his question.

"No sir, just an office errand staff, the staff requested one and you agreed to it sir, she was hired a few weeks after you left for Africa, her name is Sandy Brookes," Tom reported.

"Okay, you can leave" Adam ordered. trying to hide his satisfaction with how fast and easy this was going.

"Tell the lady, Sandy, to get me coffee." "yes sir," replied Tom. as he made his way out of Adam's office.

A few minutes after Tom left, a knock moved his attention to the door.

Knock! knock, sandy knocked. Andrew gestured with his hand for her to come in as he dropped the phone in his hand.

A closer look at her, as she timidly placed the coffee on his desk. unraveling his surprise again at her unbelievable resemblance with Amanda.

"have your seat," Adam commanded. motioning his hand toward the chair in front of him.

Sandy sits on the dark brown office chair leaning forward to position her bum at the edge of the chair.

"I was told you're the office errand girl and I've not had the time to meet you," Adam commented while fixing his gaze on his computer screen like he was more concerned about whatever was going on the blank computer screen. trying not to make her more

uncomfortable as she was, he could see that she was shaky almost like she was expecting him to say something harsh.

"Yesss sir" replied Sandy, stuttering. "Okay you can leave that will be all for now."

As Sandy was about to open the door Adam intentionally instructed. "Miss Brookes you're not coming to work tomorrow, my driver will pick you up to see me somewhere be ready by 10 am"

SANDY (pov)

Oh my goodness!! I'm in trouble! sandy thought. her body shaking, sweat dripping under her blue cardigan, the thought rummaged through her head, it was like missing puzzles far off in different hides.

She stalkingly walked to the females, thinking if she didn't sit for a minute she might faint.

was she getting fired? or was there something she did not know or was missing? Different torturing thoughts and assumptions ran through her head.

she knew there would not be an answer until tomorrow.

She had met the man, her boss. While she was stepping out of the elevator. and he must have come out of the private elevator when their eyes met and for a minute or so, she wasn't counting. her first impression of the unknown man who now happened to be her boss was that he was a very handsome man, the kind you find in shows filled with beautiful men. he had a presence that was full of grace and instinctiveness, and his body was like that of a medieval knight, broad shoulder, overly tall, with riveting blue ocean eyes that can make any woman knees weak.his hair well-groomed to the back. he was wearing a grey suit and a white shirt showing barely underneath.

the man was ravishing, 'a nun' like her could admit that.

The look he gave her was what spooked her from her fascinating stare. his first glance at her was like that of someone who had just witnessed the devil in his scary form, his look gave her fearful chills that made her worriedly race to stay away from him.

Her confusing fear grew when she noticed the man followed her into the office.

The staff's reaction towards him immediately implies to her that the handsome man is her boss.

before she could dwell on what might been happening or make sense of their encounter, her first task of getting coffee for staff drifted her to a busy mode that took her mind off it.

She was still on the coffee deliveries when Mr Tom, the head of staff instructed her to take coffee to the chairman.

Her walk to that office was worse than a walk of shame. she felt like she was striding towards the possible end of her hope of having a job. the dreadful memory of the look the man gave her came rushing back with speed she couldn't pause.

She knocked on the door, and he ordered her to come in with his fingers which kind of displayed his bossman personality.

after placing the coffee on his table, he told her to sit, speaking about how he didn't know she was hired. To Sandy, it seemed the boss wanted to have a second look to be sure she wasn't the devil that frightened him earlier.

Truthfully, the few minutes in the office with him were torturing, it felt like she was sitting in front of someone who could make or break her with an error from her.

With all the tension blazing in her she could tell there was a tense air between them and she was not the only one feeling it.

it was like he wanted to tell her something but refrained from uttering it and she knew fear was not the cause, because the man was nothing near afraid.

His final order while she was panicking out, sent her into hundreds of spikes of anxiety.

the chairman, also her billionaire boss asked her to report to him privately tomorrow.

What could he want? if she was getting fired he would not need to do that outside of the office, the suspense and mystery was racing Sandy's heartbeat high.
