FOUR

It's been two days since she left her boss's house with a shocking revelation and proposition.

He wanted her to be engaged to his brother who she doesn't know. and to make matters worse, the brother is clinically unstable and dangerous to anyone.

Sandy knows she couldn't fault him, she probably might have done the same if in his situation. if she had money as he does, she would have aid all penny to get her nana better.

The offer was tempting, it was. but, how could she leave her granny alone.

the doctors confident in their expertise, told her that she could not be better. and she just wants to have her last days with her. It would kill her not to be present in her last days on earth.

Secondly, how sure are they that Nat would not be aggressive towards her? or sense that she isn't her dead girlfriend. Also, she can't have sex with someone just because she needs money.

There is something about her boss Adam Stark, that gives her shivers good or bad she can't place a hold on it.

She could not deny that the man had a lot of passion in him. The way he was trying to convince her to agree to the proposed plan is passionate and it felt like he was in pain with his brother and Sandy was their only hope.

Mr. Adam Stark is a full-blown handsome man whose carriage adds to his already physical perfection. if not for Sandy's conviction that his fixating looks towards her were nothing but a cry for approval of his proposed plan. She would have assumed he was into her for a minute.

Sandy giggled at the thought, laying her back on her bed. How can a man like that care for her for a second? She thought.

He was wearing a white round neck and blue jeans with his hair less groomed compared to their previous encounter. his homely look is way better if she's asked.

His brother, Nathaniel Stark.was almost as handsome as him, but in a bad boy way, the pictures Sandy saw were of him in biker jackets and sitting on bikes. tattoos blasted on his body. he has Golden hair brushed to the front, and his green eyes are the same as his brother's. With a sinewy body and a more relaxed and carefree demeanor.his pictures with his dead fiance were his most smiling pictures.

They both look happy. Even Sandy who doesn't know them could tell they loved each other.

How sad! Sandy thought.

The ex looked so much like her, the resemblance was scary to her and she could understand why her boss was the way he was the first time he saw her.

While Sandy would call herself slim, the lady had more flesh to her and her fashion style was way bougie than hers.

She had done some research about her online and every second she came across her picture she was surprised.

The killer was an obsessed fan who was mad she was getting married to Nathanial Spark and not him. he killed himself immediately he shot Amanda four times. The pictures of the scenes were horrific to see.

She honestly feels sad for Nat, it was devastating and she wished she could help. just that, what was asked of her is way too much for her.

She had been waiting for a message about her termination, but when she got to the office there was nothing as such she never saw her boss when he got to the office and she made sure she rushed out before they could meet.

She needed to keep the job, and she's hoping her boss won't be salty enough to sack her.

She remembered her granny and stood up from her all-pink bed to check on her granny who was asleep when she came back.

"NANA, NANA," Sandy, tapped her grandmother but she was unresponsive. Trying not to panic, she sat on the chair her nana was laying on lifting her head to wake her up, but no response.

Tears she didn't wail for came rushing down her eyes with speed. she rushed to her room to pick up her phone to call for an emergency.

A few minutes later the siren of the ambulance was sounding as they drove her, and her nana was still unresponsive.

The first aid that was given to her nana was not doing much. But she refused to accept this was the end for her granny.

Sandy had to wait as the doctors and nurses tried to resuscitate her nana.

She was in complete fear. There was movement of people around her. A man was wailing profusely at the silent information the doctors gave him. and Sandy knew what was said, praying that shouldn't be her case.

she felt like she was alone in that room and all she could do was wait.

"Miss Sandy Brooke," the voice of the male doctor who had been handling her nana's case drew her attention to him and she eagerly stood up. "Miss Brooke, I'm sorry for everything, your nana, like have told you before is in a very delicate stage, we managed to revive her. But I can't promise you that there will be a next time. I'm so sorry, but let's prepare for worse." he patted Sandy back and walked away.

She quickly dashed into her nana's hospital room according to the nurse's direction, her nana was laying down tired, and she opened her arms for Sandy to hug her. With tears in Sandy's eyes and a blocked nose from the crying, Sandy hugged her and spoke softly.

"Nana I can't lose you, you need to fight for my sake. I can not lose you ple.a.s.e."

Her nana couldn't utter much. hugged her as tightly as she could and faintly said. "I know sandy, I know baby, I know. We'll be fine,"

Sandy positioned herself beside her bed laying beside her, while she did her favorite petting, massaging her now scanty hair.

Sandy waited for her nana to fall asleep after some hours, in the late hour of the day. She stood up and sat on the chair available in the hospital room.

Sandy knew what she had to do. This involves her nanna's life, and if she does love her. she would have to make a drastic decision that might help her get her grandma better. Even if it meant not being with her nana for some time. she picked up her phone and dialed the number.

"Hello, I'm ready to go through with the plan."...
