Chapter 8

His room, a spacious large room with an equally large bed, a table and a chair sat at the corner of the room and two doors stood at the other side, one door for the bathroom and the other for the closet, a large window stood at the wall, facing the bed. He got into the room and fell on the bed. He was still wearing the trouser and long-sleeved shirt he was wearing, he was too tired to take them off. His eyes became heavy in no time and he did not fight the sleep that engulfed him.

When he woke up later in the day, he sat on his bed, his face in his palms and he remembered the black-eyed wolf, Fay. He made a mental note to ask Mr Jones about Fay later in the day during his lessons. He stood up from the bed and looked at the clock that hung on the wall, at 2:54 PM. It was almost time for his lesson and practice. He walked into the closet to take off his clothes, and he did. He walked out of the closet and into the bathroom to freshen up. When he was done getting ready, he wore black trousers and a black long-sleeved shirt and walked out of his room.

The house was crowded when he went out. It had always been crowded. His father was the Alpha and Betas and Gammas were always in their house. Even their omegas were always in the house, ever ready to run errands. When he walked out of the room, heads bowed in respect to him. He walked through the bowed heads and walked to the study room.

When he got to the study room, the tutor was already there. A tall handsome man with a face full of beards, his dark hair covering his head heavily. A hairy man. His wrinkled face showed signs of ageing, he was a human. Mr Jones. Yes, that was his name, Mr Jones. He stood beside a whiteboard with a bullpen in his hand. Two seats sat in front of the man and a young girl sat in one of the seats. It was Zoe, his younger sister.

He walked over to where his seat and sat down beside his sister. She turned to him, her blonde hair covering her forehead. Her sea-green eyes ran over him.

"Took you so long to come today." She said mockingly.

"Mind your business." He growled at her and she shuddered back.

The lesson began. Though they were werewolves and Mr Jones was just a human, they respected the man greatly. He was a man with a vast amount of knowledge and that's why Jake would always sit still and try to pay attention no matter how boring the lesson might be. But today was different, his body was in the study room but his thoughts were far off. With Fay. He still could not wrap his hands around the fact that a werewolf was born and raised in human territory.

The lesson ended after a long while and Mr Jones told Zoe to leave but insisted Jake stay behind. When the door shut behind Zoe, Mr Jones turned to Jake.

"You were not paying attention." The man stated.

"I was!" The boy responded.

Mr Jones walked over to where he sat and stood there, looking down at the boy.

"You can tell me anything. Is it about a mate?" The man asked.

Jake laughed. He was only sixteen, not yet mature enough for a mate. But the man was a human, couldn't possibly know that.

"Is it possible Mr Jones, that a human-bear a werewolf?" He asked.

The man looked at him intensely.

"It is not possible, young Alpha. You see... We humans are just weak creatures compared to you werewolves and a human woman can not possibly bear a werewolf child, she will die. Of course only if she mates with a werewolf and becomes a werewolf herself, then she can bear a werewolf too." The man explained.

Jake was more confused. Was the boy's mother a human who mated with a werewolf or was it his mother who was a werewolf?

"Why do you ask, son? Jones asked.

"Nothing. Just being curious." Jake replied.

He stood up immediately and walked out of the study room as fast as he could before the man would call him back. He had sword practice.

He walked back to his room and changed his clothes. Leather pants and strong leather wearable shield. He walked out of the room and headed out of the house, the garden. He had his sword practice in the garden and when he got there, the head gamma was already there. A tall and muscular man, not handsome. The practice started immediately and Jake could not focus. He did not feel like practising, his thoughts were with Fay.

He stayed in bed till night came. He only went out of his room once, to eat the food his mother had kept in the microwave for him and when he did, he went back to bed. He lay on the bed, his eyes glued to the open window and he could see the full moon, shining brightly on earth. He would not be able to run in the woods, he was tired. But when he closed his eyes to sleep, he remembered him. He had promised the blue-eyed wolf that he would be coming. His eyes flicked open immediately.

He rose from the bed and went to his wardrobe, tiredly. He grabbed a trouser and a shirt and headed out of the house into the dark, cold and quiet night. He walked lazily through the tar road leading to the woods and when he got to the entrance of the woods, he reminded Hank not to run and the wolf promised not to. He grudgingly transformed and Hank started making his way into the woods, not running.

He had gone a distance and when he got to the spot they always met, he stopped and transformed. The blue-eyed wolf was not there yet and Fay sat on a tree stump after making a mental note not to wait too long for the wolf. He sat on the stump and buried his face in his palms.
