My mother's voice echoed through my head as I run deeper into the woods without looking back, I could hear their footsteps as they chased me, I ran with all my strength, it was getting dark, the rain was pouring so hard, thunder was making rumbling sounds in the sky, lightning was striking continuously, the cloud was in chaos, as the rain continue to pour down heavily the wind blew like never before, the trees in the woods shook like an earthquake

“Ahhh…..!” I yelled as I suddenly fell into a hole, I looked around the whole place it was in the middle of the woods, I struggled to climb out of the deep whole but it was so fucking hard, I've exhausted almost all my strength how in the world do I get out from this place?

“Hmmmmm….!” I heard a growling sound wondering where it's coming from, 

“Hmmmm…!” I continued to hear the sound, I was beginning to shrink in fear I needed to leave the damn hole, my mother risked her life to save me. I can't get stuck in a damn hole. 

I began climbing the hole, I fell over and over again, but I wasn't giving up, I was determined to get out and finally I was able to climb out of the whole, 

“I did it” I muttered to myself breathing so heavily, 

“Hmmmmm!” I heard those growling again, 

“What's that?” I asked myself as I proceeded to follow the sound, I was surprised when I suddenly saw three huge black wolves lying on the ground, two were severely injured and right now they looked dead, while the one awake was making the groaning sounds, their bodies were filled with cuts, and blood was all over them, the one awake was mysteriously staring at me

“Run River, you shouldn't be here, run!” I said to myself and began to take a step backwards, I turned and was about to run when that groaning sound came again

“Hmmmmm!” I turned and saw the wolf blinking at me, 

“Ahh…ehh….I'm sorry I'm not from this park, I'm going to leave right away” I said nervously hoping he's hearing me, but then I saw as the wolf turned to look at the other two wolves lying down and for some reasons it feels like he's sad, and wanted my help

“Hey listen, I'm coming close to you to check out your wounds, so you better not bite me” I pointed at him, I began to take slow steps towards him, I was nervous, I take a step forward and take a step back making sure the wolf is not going to jump on me and eat me alive, but instead he sat there and all he did was stare at me with those eyes that held so many emotions, I finally got close to him, and slowly bent down to his level

I tried to touch him and suddenly withdrew my hands, he was covered in bruises 

“Can I touch you?” I asked gently hoping he could hear me, I waited for his response, he was staring keenly at me, and when I thought he wasn't going to say anything he blinked twice, 

“You're so stubborn, why did it take you so long to respond” I scoff and took off the scarf I used to tie my hair and my long blonde hair fell freely on my back. I began to wipe his wounds with the scarf, 

“Wait here I'm coming” I said to him and searched around the woods for any medicinal leaves and finally I found one, I went back to him excitedly, 

“Hey look, I found a leaf that can stop the bleeding and also subside the pain, I brought enough for you and your brothers!” I shouted in excitement but when he didn't make any sound and was only staring at me, my smile faded away and I walked back to him, 

I began shrinking the leaves on my palm, 

“Do you know you're not supposed to be sad, at least you're alive and still have your brothers, but for me, I have no one else” I said the last part sadly,

“Foolish me, I'm already crying just by thinking of it” I said, wiping my tears with the back of my palm. I finished shrinking the leaves and was ready to apply it on the wolf, 

“Hey listen this is going to hurt, you have to bear it okay?” I said to him and like before all he did was stare at me, I took the leave and began to apply them on his wounds, but I was surprised when he didn't make any sound, he's damn strong cause this leave stings a lot, I made sure to apply it in all his wounds and when I was done, I tore a huge part of my dress into three parts and I used one to wrap around his wounds, 

“Now you're okay, let me treat your brothers as well” I said to him and went forth to treat his brothers, I also wrapped them up.

I came back to him after treating the other two, I don't know if they are brothers or friends but seeing them in this situation I assumed that's what they are, I came back to him and squatted before him, I caress the hair on his body, 

“How did you guys end up here? Were you chased like me?” 

All he did was stare at me, is his eyes not hurting him from too much staring?

“I have to leave, but don't worry this leaf is strong, you and your brothers are going to be fine by morning, okay?” 

“Look big Wolfie, even in a wolf form you look so handsome, can I get your name maybe someday we will meet?” 

“Mmmm, since you can't talk maybe I'll tell you my name then” I said and placed my right hand on my chest,

“I'm River, I was just running away from a group of people when I fell into that hole” I pointed at the hole far away and he turned his heads toward the direction I pointed, my eyes widened in excitement as I realized that all these while he could hear me, I hurriedly stood up with smile plastered on my face,

“I have to leave now big Wolfie, I hope we meet again someday” 

I quickly bent down and kissed his head,

“I wish you and your brothers quick recovery, I have to continue running” I smiled and turned my back as I t

“Bye……..!” I yelled and finally ran into the woods
