Chapter 4 punishment

River

I was super nervous and anxious even after I came back I didn't dare to tell anybody about my conversation with the Alpha, I do not want them to feel pressured and or indebted to me, I thought I was strong but seeing how my body was shaking I realized I was not as strong as I thought. 

I know that soon they are going to come to take me away, and just like I predicted, they came, it was a guard and a young lady standing outside, you can say she's almost my age or might be few years older than me, when they came to take me away my friends were all worried, cause they have been asking me what happened and i could not even say it I only told them that everything is well and the Alpha King just wanted to talk to me,

So when the guards came to pick me up they were all worried. I came out from the prison and the lady gently smiled at me and held my hand, as we began to leave

“What’s your name?”

“My name?” I asked cause she's the first person that has ever cared to ask me my name since I arrived here

“My name is River”

“River?”

“Hmmm, my father gave it to me”

“Wow, that's such a nice and deep name. What does it mean?”

“My parents didn't have a child early, my father said they waited for a long time before they finally had me, so when I was born my father named me River, saying that I was born under the moonlight so beneath the moon I shine bright and I'm going to become a hope for a lot of people to survive when I grow up, 

He also said that I'm a female child that will be better than a male child but now that I think about it I wonder if it's true, I've been running all my life, I don't see how I'm going to save anybody”

“Don't you think you're the one right now?” 

“Huh?”

“I mean you made a deal with the Alpha all because you don't want your friends in the prison to die” 

“He, he” I scratch my back and laugh nervously

“I haven't even saved them yet, I don't even know if I'm going to succeed” 

This was when I realized that we have walked so far from the prison, 

“Can I ask you something?” 

“I'm here Already you can ask whatever you want?”

“Where are we going?” 

“Is that what you want to ask, and you looked so nervous come on I thought it's something serious” She smiled

“We are going to the Alpha's mansion, he asked me to bring you but right now he's currently in a meeting with the council of elders and it's going to be long before the meeting is over, so rest assured that he's not coming back now” 

“Oh” I finally smiled in relief

“Can I ask one more thing?”

“Hmmm, you can ask anything” She smiled, I sighted a gigantic mansion, and I instantly knew that it was the Alpha's mansion

“You wanted to ask me something” She nudge me 

“Oh yeah, uhm….” I took a deep breath to look at her, 

“Hope I'm not overstepping my boundaries?”

“Not at all, I'm here to be your guide you can ask me whatever you need to know”

I smiled and waited for some seconds, at this point we are already close to the mansion

“I wanted to ask, does the Alpha have a wife?” 

She looked at me and smiled, 

“Took you so long to finally asked”

“No, he doesn't but…he has a mistress”

“A mistress?” My eyes widened, 

“Hmmm” She smiled as we now walked into the mansion, the first place we walked into was filled with different ladies 

“My lady…..” They greeted as soon as we stepped in, I turned to stare at her and she smiled

“I'm the Alpha King's mistress” She smiled

My eyeballs almost popped out from their socket, she's…..she's the Alpha's mistress, and I've been talking with her? 

“Get in” She gestured at the bathtub, 

“They are going to give you a clean bath and take you to the Alpha's pleasure room” immediately I heard a pleasure room a cold chill ran down my spine, 

“I wish you good luck” She smiled at me, and left. I looked at the girls surrounding me and none of them spoke a word which was awkward so I took off my clothes and got into the bathtub, they began scrubbing my body but it wasn't an ordinary bath it was more painful than I thought, 

One hour later I was glad that everything was over, they dressed me up in different clothe, and for the first time in a long time, I felt refreshed. We stepped outside the room and I was surprised to see the mistress still waiting,

“Ohh I figured out I should take you there myself, you guys should leave” She waved at the girls and they left, 

“Are you ready?” She smiled caressing and adjusting my hair,

“Hmm” I nodded, 

We began walking upstairs, it was a long walk and at some point my feet began to ache but seeing that the mistress showed no sign of pain I straightened up immediately, guess she must have been used to it, after what felt like forever she opened a door and we walked it, 

It wasn't just any type of room it was massive, and extremely gorgeous 

“This is not the Alpha's room, this is where he stay for pleasure, no one has been privileged to visit the Alpha's room except me his mistress” 

I smiled at her and sat tiredly on the bed, gently massaging my legs to numb the pain, 

“How long do you think I've known the Alpha?” She suddenly asked 

“Huh?”

“Hmm, what do you think?”

I thought for a while but could not think of anything,

“Maybe years”

“Years like?”

“Mm, maybe five?”

“Not bad, I've known the Alpha for 22 years”

“Huh?” I gasped in shock making her smile,

“Our parents were best of friends, I'm not just the Alpha's mistress, I'm his betrothed”

“Wow, you both must be super close”

“I'm the closest to him”

If the Alpha have such a genuine lady like her, why does he still seek pleasure outside, I suddenly feel guilty towards her, so I immediately went on my knees

“I'm sorry my lady I'm sorry that this has to happen”

“Sorry? Come on I'm just glad he's going to be healed soon, it's all I ever wanted” 

“Thanks” I muttered and gently sat back on the bed, 

“Wait here, he's going to be back soon okay?”

“Hmmm” I nodded and watched her left. She's really strong, watching the one she loved be with other women, it must be hard on her. Now that I'm alone in the room I had the time to look around the whole room. It's so beautiful here, if this room is beautiful like this then how is the Alpha's room going to be, Damn River don't you dare think about that. 

I walked back to the bed and sat down with a heavy sigh. If I had known the Alpha had a mistress I wouldn't dare have fallen for him at first sight now how do I unlove my feelings for him.

Hours have passed and the Alpha is still not yet back, I'm sure it's getting to midnight at this point, I have yawned countless times, I was fighting to keep my eyes open at this point so I decided to lay on the bed for sometime and take a quick nap maybe by the time I woke up the Alpha would be back. I gently laid down on the bed. I was so tired so immediately my eyes closed I slept off.

I stirred in my sleep, and grumbled, muttering a few words, 

“Mum close the window”

“Mum…..” 

“Mum please my eyes…..” 

The window finally closed, making me smile as I continued sleeping, but then a thought crossed my mind, Alpha, mistress, bed…..

I immediately sprang up from the bed, holy shit! The Alpha was stranding by the window his two hands folded behind him as he stared at me, I nervously climb down from the bed, making sure to arrange it properly after which I stood by the bedside, with my gaze face down

“I'm sorry I waited for you last night and when you didn't appear I decided to take a quick nap, I never had the intention of falling asleep here, please forgive” I explained all at once but when I didn't hear a word from the Alpha I slowly raise my head, and he was still staring at me without blinking, 

I gulped nervously, I was beginning to get scared, but what happened the next seconds shocked the hell out of me, the Alpha suddenly superspeed and right now he's standing before me, I tried shifting back but I hit the wall, 

“A mere sex slave like you dared to fall asleep on the Alpha's pleasure bed, what punishment do you think you deserve?” 

I couldn't utter a word, I stared at the Alpha in total dismay, he exudes terror, his ocean eyes were bloodshot, his expression has no glimpse of pity, just void

Since when did it become a crime to fall asleep? 

“Im sorry I didn't know I could not sleep here”

“Guards…..!” 

Three hefty men immediately came into the room

“Yes Alpha” They all crumbled to their knees

“Whip her and throw her into the cold room, without my orders no soul should let her out”

My body froze, I could not believe my ears, as they

dragged me away from the room I could not stop staring at the Alpha, maybe now I'm beginning to understand the rumors about the Alpha.

A cold hearted King with no emotions.
