Someone Was Here

"Wake up! Wake up quickly!"

I open my eyes and see Ivy with a worried expression. She sighs in relief and sits at the edge of the bed.

"Ivy? Did something happen?" I ask, confused.

"I came to check on you, and something strange happened." Her voice was shaky, as were her hands.

I sit up in bed and rub my eyes; I'm still very sleepy, and Alaric's medicine is still taking effect.

"I don't understand, I'm very sleepy." My voice comes out slow and drowsy.

"When I entered the room, you had your eyes open, whispering something I didn't understand. Your eyes were violet, and the stone on your necklace was glowing the same color." Ivy's voice trembles, and her eyes are teary.

I sit on the bed, trying to stay awake enough to calm her.

"I got confused, and when I approached, I touched you, and suddenly, a man appeared in the room, looking at me menacingly." She speaks with nervousness, and tears roll down her face.

"A man?" I ask with a confused voice. "Where did he come from?"
