Chapter Seventy-Three

The bike stopped and we alighted right in front of the house.

"Well here we are." JB smiled.

It had a gate and I couldn't seem to make out any other thing due to the darkness. It didn't look too terrible though, it was a duplex and was quite obvious it was the 'face me, I slap you' kind of residence. Much like the one we lived in before I moved in with the Peters.

The sixty watt bulbs shone brightly in front of the house, illuminating the verandah. We walked through the gate and it freaked loudly, obviously needing to be checked or thrown away.

"Wait!" JB said and I held onto my hand.

"Jump that place." He said and I focused my sight on the floor, it was a really deep hole in the floor. My leg could've gotten hooked in there, it would've been a really terrible night.
