CHAPTER FOUR; THE ENCOUNTER

“Important encounters are planned by the souls long before the bodies see each other” – Paulo Coelho

The sun was setting as Aurora was lying at the park staring at the sky. She appreciated Hebe for their ability to see the wonders in nature by developing several park, this sold out to her sky gazing personality.  The memories of her first meeting with this universe were still fresh in her head, the tall trees stretched out across the vast land, the happy birds chipping, and the broad blue skies above the trees, stretched out in a private magical forest that was owned by the royal family. Across the five parallel universes, the land in which the ends of the portal from the Bellona universe were found, was automatically owned by the royal family, by the structure of the foundering father’s to aid in curbing the possibility of the portals being found. Aurora was mesmerized by the vast land with the view of the deep blue ocean; she appreciated how the sky contrasted with the ocean. Going out to the main cities, she realized how so similar it was with Bellona universe, except the fact that it had no magical creatures. They seem tech savvy, just as their universe, except that her universe depended on the founder’s blood to create a system across the universe, but they utilize their waves to create some much wonders. The structures in the universe was close to magical and she wondered how they could create such with no magic, and she understood that just like her universe, they searched for ways to make their life easier.

Aurora loved it there, aside from the almost eternal youth found within the universe; they possessed great business structures, in which she appreciated and believed she could flourish in. She knew at that moment that this was the universe for her, despite the fact that she was told not to grab any form of attention and wasn’t allowed to use her powers. The wind was in her face, as her hair was parked up and her shades covering the reflection of the sun, inhaling the deep breathe, she appreciated the universe. ‘You are fired’, she heard a deep baritone across the park, well it wasn’t her business but his voice could make anyone do his bidding. ‘I don’t expect to see you at the office once I get there’ he continued. Aurora got up to have a view of the rude being but he wasn’t looking as disdain as expected. She saw a tall mini-god across her, his skin as that of a baby, his long legs like he could run through the universe. He turned his face and Aurora was short of breathe, as his eyes was as deep as the blue sea, she could be lost staring at it, a chiseled face like it was drawn out of comic booklet, his hair was as dark as the night and as soft as silk, with his sideburns coming down to form a perfect connection with his beards, his body was like the gods chiseled it themselves, his stare could cause chills down ones back. At this moment, she was grateful for her shades as it covered her lustful eye; using her power to get this emotion she noticed he felt nothing. This was the first, especially after firing his staff she expected to get a form of emotion but she didn’t and she didn’t want to believe there was anyone within the universe immune to her powers. She was worried but she knew better than to follow it up to avoid getting unexpected attention.

While the king was addressing state matters alongside her brother, Aurora was given the consent to explore the universe creating so much time for her. She visited the fortune of youth and she truly believed that it was no ordinary fortune, she studied the universe within the short time in it, she read books, visited the historian to see how oblivious to the other universes they were. Sipping coffee at a store within the municipal, Aurora was engrossed in her book when she heard the breakout.  Turning her attention, she saw a young girl pleading her manager for another chance at her job. She could feel the girl’s raw emotion and she sensed that the manager had so much pity on her but it seems it wasn’t within his power.  Walking over she indulged him in a conversation, soliciting on the girl’s behalf but his hands were tired. So she requested a meeting with their boss. Unfortunately for the manager, the boss was in the building. He feared for his job but Aurora sensing this, assured him that she wasn’t going to do anything to make him loss his job. She wondered what sort of boss could inflict so much fear on their employees. She was directed to the first floor of the building, the office was just above the ground floor, allowing the coffee store and the official business work simultaneously. Waiting at the reception, she could sense everyone fears on the floor, all she could paint was a monster as the employer but she knew better.

The receptionist walked up to her apologizing, it seems the boss was in a conference meeting. A few minute later, she had sobs from the conference room and to her surprise Mr. Mini-god from the park was walking out of the conference room with his staff scrambling after him. She thought it was a joke, but she felt the authority he commanded as he struts out towards his office, his demeanor was that of an evil boss, she overheard the staff discussing how he just fired a young man in the conference because he mixed up the statistics.  Aurora was still in shock when the receptionist approached her, telling her the boss was ready for her. For the first time in her existence, she thought of chickening out of a situation but she cleared the doubt and headed over to his office with little to no confidence. Walking in, she saw the space was decorated in grey and black, it wasn’t a big space but it had a great view to the city. The atheistic within was definitely meant to instill fear into everyone that comes; she wondered why he thought leading through fear was the best approach for a business. Well she was still in her thoughts when he cleared his throat and said, ‘how may I help you’. Looking at him, she realized he wasn’t even looking at her, she felt the arrogance arousing from him. Then she said: ‘I am here concerning the young girl that got fired at the coffee shop below, seeing the commotion that happened within the conference room, it’s obvious that  it’s a norm here, Mr. Neville’, his name stand was on  his table. For the first, since she stepped into his office, he actually raised his head to look at her, she was frightened but she wouldn’t step down from this challenge. Neville was shocked as he didn’t expect such audacity from a total stranger, in bewilderment he asked, ‘and who are you to tell me how to manage my staff’, she responded saying: ‘A business colleague just like you’. He wondered how her mind worked, to think she would think this was appropriate, but he couldn’t get his eyes off her. With his few business experience, he had been challenged a million times but not by an enchanter, whose beauty he couldn’t fathom. Seeing her audacity, he wondered how many chains of business she ran, was it more than his? He wasn’t among the top notch, but he aimed at being that and for someone to work into his office to challenge him, he wouldn’t accept it. He stood up staring deep into her soul, with a deep threat in his voice, he said; ‘and that doesn’t give you the right! To come in here telling me what to do’, Aurora could sense his dominance over people, and her action had busted through his ego, but she wouldn’t careless because she knew his employees job depended on it. She matched his attitude saying; ‘and you do not have the right to dismiss employees off their job without proper consideration Mr. Neville’, she continued sternly; ‘what are the consolation plans you set to aid them transit into their next job, this action will only bring insecurity in a long run and it’s not sustainable’. For a while, they just stare at each other, trying to read each other’s move.  Aurora could sense his confusion and she was happy knowing she got to him but Neville was just thinking how her eyes pops up as she was challenging him, her hair shades was quite different from the contemporary but he loved her boldness even more, and he knew she was right but he wouldn’t admit it, not wanting to look like a weakling, he said; ‘If you are done, you can leave my office’, Aurora scoffed, sensing his emotion had switched from confusion to frustration and then walked out.

Neville had never faced such confrontation in his lifetime, he wouldn’t lie her words did hit a chord; he knew he was driving his community to doomed at this rate, if he doesn’t tune it down. Nevertheless, he never want to cross path with her again, not because of her gut, he knew he could measure up but because he didn’t expect to be mesmerized by a ladies’ beauty that quick. She seem like a temptress to him and he doesn’t wish to indulge in such gain, but requested an investigation on her. Meanwhile, Aurora walking home was excited that Mr. Mini-god wasn’t immune to her powers, even though she wondered why he didn’t feel anything at the park, after sacking his employee. Though, she was certain that he wouldn’t be firing anyone for a while without proper consideration, she was happy she was able to put a smile on his employees, as they were waiting on someone to come to their aid, she could sense their joy as she stepped out.  But more importantly, she wondered what he was confuse about before he walked her out of his office, ‘so much for, try not to get attention’, she said to herself. She didn’t want to have anything to do with Neville, aside from being the most obnoxious creature in the universe, she couldn’t zero the fact his appearance got to her, but she sense that, their path will cross more often than not. It intrigued her but also frightened her; she hoped to avoid this sort of confrontation in time to come.
