32 Barbecue Party

Jasper returned to the room, a bit worried. I wondered what the issue was, but I did not want to push it. Kevin had requested we have a barbecue party, and Rachel, Cindy and I were on it. I was yet to speak to Nala, but she smelled like trouble. I did not trust her or her mate, but that was me, always suspecting everyone. I had never been betrayed before, but I did not want to experience it, so I expected nonsense from everyone except Jasper. He wasn't capable of crossing me. His love was pure and solid.

"What's the matter, babe?" I asked him, motioning him to help me with my jeans. Having a broken arm sucked, and I hated that it wasn't healing fast enough. I didn't envy humans much because they recovered even slower than this. It must be hard having to move about with a bone fracture for weeks. Mine was going to take days, and I hated it.
