Alex’s POV

Six months had passed, and I still couldn’t shake the feeling that I had run away from the only thing that ever mattered.

I stood on the ice in Paris, skates cutting sharp lines, but my mind was thousands of miles away.

The coach’s voice echoed across the arena, sharp and frustrated.

“Alex! What the hell is wrong with you? You can’t go on like this or you’ll mess everything up!”

I stopped skating, breathing hard, my stick loose in my hands.

  • Accidentally Yours, Hockey Captain   Chapter 72: The Dream That Wouldn’t Fade

Emily’s POV His hands were warm on my skin, sliding slowly down my sides as he pulled me closer in the dim light of the car. Rain pattered against the windows, creating a private world just for us. Alex’s lips found mine, soft at first, then deeper, hungrier. I moaned into his mouth, my fingers threading through his hair as I pressed against him. “Emily,” he whispered against my neck, his voice low and rough. “I’ve missed you so much.” I arched into him, my body responding to every touch. His hands moved lower, gripping my hips as he lifted me onto his lap. The heat between us built quickly, his breath hot on my skin as he kissed down my collarbone. I gasped when his fingers slipped under my dress, tracing patterns that made me tremble. “Alex… please,” I breathed, my hands clutching his shoulders. “Don’t stop.” He kissed me again, deeper this time, his body moving against mine in a rhythm that felt perfect. “I won’t,” he murmured. “I’ve waited too long for this. For you.” The

  • Accidentally Yours, Hockey Captain   Chapter 71: The Flight to a New Beginning

Emily’s POV I stood at the airport entrance, my backpack beside me, feeling the weight of everything I was leaving behind. Mrs. Anderson had driven me here herself, and now we were standing near the security line. She turned to me with a gentle smile. “Are you ready?” Mrs. Anderson asked as she helped me with my bag. “I have no choice,” I said, looking at the busy terminal around us. “But I know I won’t regret it if I still go there.” Mrs. Anderson nodded, her eyes warm. “I know you will do your best, Em. And there is something for you. It’s not much but hopefully it can help you there.” She handed me a white envelope filled with money. “But—” I started, trying to hand it back. “Accept it,” she said firmly but kindly. “I used to go without money and I don’t want you to experience it. It’s not much but at least you have a handle for you while you’re there. Don’t worry, Pierre will take care of you.” I took the envelope, my eyes stinging with tears. “Thank you, Mrs. Anderson. I w

  • Accidentally Yours, Hockey Captain   Chapter 70: The Night I Couldn’t Face

Emily’s POV I was still in my studio that night, not daring to turn on my phone. I also didn’t know if I could face my parents or Julian if I answered their calls. Maybe I’d melt and get back to them like I always did. Mrs. Anderson stood by the door, watching me with gentle concern. “Em, are you sure you will stay here? You can come with me if you want.” “Ah it’s okay Mrs. Anderson,” I said, forcing a small smile. “I’m just here anyway it’s only until tomorrow morning, so I’ll continue my painting which is about to be finished.” She nodded slowly, her eyes searching my face. “Alright, but if you need anything call me. I will pick you up tomorrow morning.” I looked at the canvas, the brush still in my hand. “I will. Thank you for everything. I don’t know what I would do without this studio. Without you.” Mrs. Anderson stepped closer, her voice soft. “You’re stronger than you think, Em. But you don’t have to carry everything alone. If the painting is too much tonight, just rest.

  • Accidentally Yours, Hockey Captain   Chapter 69: The Decision I Couldn’t Hide

Emily’s POV I woke up to the sound of the studio door opening and Mrs. Anderson’s voice calling my name. “Emily, what are you doing here? Did you stay overnight?”I looked to the right and left, realizing Kara was no longer there. Maybe she had left and didn’t want to wake me up.“Ah yes I…” I started, but Mrs. Anderson found a backpack under my feet and approached me.“What’s wrong Em? What happened?” Mrs. Anderson asked, her voice full of concern.I took a deep breath. “I… Mrs. Anderson, if I agree to go to Paris, when can I go there?”Mrs. Anderson looked quite confused. She didn’t think I would say that. “Actually he can prepare a ticket for you anytime, because he really hopes you can work together faster, but I need to know what’s wrong with you Em?”“I agree!” I said quickly. “I will leave soon, but please don’t say anything to my family, I beg you Mrs. Anderson. This is my dream. I just want to do it at least once in my life.”I grabbed her hand and looked into her eyes, hopi

  • Accidentally Yours, Hockey Captain   Chapter 68: The Night I Ran

Emily’s POVThat night I thought I couldn’t be there. I took my backpack, filled it with some of my clothes, my laptop, and the things I needed. I opened the window of my room and tied my sheets so I could go downstairs.I sent a short message to Kara. “Kara where are you? Meet me at the bar now.”I rushed away from the house, my heart ached. It felt so sad when the person I thought understood and cared about me the most turned out to be just locking me in their cage.In the bus I listened to music with my airpods, while scrolling Instagram until a message from Will was seen.“Do you have any plans for tomorrow? I want to invite you to lunch, while discussing your painting if you have time.” I ignored it. I immediately deleted the message from Will and locked my phone, staring out the window. When I arrived at the bar, I immediately found a seat near the bar, dropped my backpack underneath and ordered a drink. Not long after, Kara was heard calling me and immediately hugged me tight

  • Accidentally Yours, Hockey Captain   Chapter 67: The Break That Couldn’t Be Fixed

Emily’s POV I sat at the dinner table, pushing my food around with my fork. The smell of Mom’s cooking usually comforted me, but tonight it felt heavy. Dad cleared his throat, looking at me with concern. “Paris? Are you sure?” he said. “Paris is too far, Emily. If you want your painting to be displayed in the gallery, I can ask for it from one of my painter friends. You don’t have to go that far, alone.” Mom nodded, passing the rice bowl to Dad. “Your father is right. Why do you have to go to Paris if you only want your painting to be the longest in the gallery? Mrs. Anderson should be able to display your paintings in her gallery. There is no need to go to Paris to do that.” I stared at my plate, holding back my emotions. I didn’t understand why they could say that to me. “I know you’re worried. But this is a big opportunity. Mrs. Anderson’s friend invited me specifically. It’s not just any gallery. It’s in Paris.” Dad set his fork down. “No, you can’t go. I’ll call my friend
